We use Meijo safari company, because we are people enjoying adventure. They made costumes made program only for us. We visited Natron lake and Vulcan, Serengeti, ngorongoro, and Tarangire national parks. Our guide Herman / nickname superman/ was the best!!!! He found all animals we want to see!! The big five and all cats!!! Very nice, polite and positive!! Recommend the company not only for budget also for all

Another brilliant safari with Right Choice.
5/5

Our second booking with Right Choice was as wonderful as the first. We are going on our third in April! Joshua, our brilliant guide, is kind, knowledgeable and efficient and he has become a real friend! Well done, George Oketch, for your professionalism and always going the extra mile. You and your company has helped us make amazing memories.

The tour exceed our expectations
5/5

Me and my husband took a trip to Tanzania and I, by chance, found Henry on the net. He has been very very responsive from the begining and tailored the whole 8 days based on our wishes and budget. He assigned us a great guide, Mashek, who definitely has eagle eyes and great sense of humour. We went on a limited budget yet everything was fine and well organized. We also had 1.5 days in Zanzibar- due to tide- we could not enjoy blue waters as in pictures yet had very different experience walking on the sea at 6.00 am to watch fisherman and walk with ladies on the sea for catching crabs. We definitely suggest Henry and Mashek (our guide) for your trip to Tanzania and thank them. (We took some child clothes and toys, the children were happy to receive them, so why not some joy to local kids!)

Incredible!
5/5

We owe James five incredibly intense safari days full of unforgettable experiences. His private safari for our family of six was well organized and we saw far more than the "Big Five" - including two leopards and a cheetah up close. Thank you for your professionalism, friendliness and driving skills - off the road and in the „jungle" of Nairobi!

Ezekiel was a knowledgeable, accommodating, and personable tour guide
5/5

We had such a blast on the Suricata Tours. The guide Ezekiel was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and personable. The chef who came with us, Tito, was an amazing cook. We had a variety of fresh food and ate happily three times a day. The parks were great too- we went to Ngorongoro, Tangire, and Serengeti every day from 6 or 7 am to around 5:30 every day. Ezekiel was able to spot basically every animal on our list including cheetahs and rhinos. We were in a car with three other people for a total of 6 people. We preferred this and had a great time with the other guests. The car was comfortable and ample water was provided daily. We camped every night (though nicer facilities were possible). The tents were very sturdy and nice and mosquito proof. Great communication over WhatsApp, good value for money and felt safe the whole time. Highly recommend this tour company!

Eziekel was knowledgeable and fun and made the trip even better!
5/5

We had the best time on our safari with Suricata. We did 4 days through Tangiere, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti. We also did a stop at the Masai community. Our guide, Ezekiel, was wonderful. He spotted so many animals (including 8 rhinos!), knew a ton of information and hung out with us on our downtime. We learned so much about wildlife and Tanzanian culture from him. We did the camping option and Ezekiel played cards with us at night and taught us Tanzanian songs. Our chef, Tito, was so professional and an incredible cook. I really didn’t expect the meals to be that good. From the breakfasts of pancakes and eggs to the elaborate multi dish lunches and dinners, I was super well fed. We had three vegetarians in our group and all of us had enough options. We went in March which was a blast. It’s the rainy season, but the rain never got in the way of seeing animals and we had the campsites to ourself. Everything was smooth and well organized. Hilary, the company owner, was always prompt in his communication. Truly one of the greatest experiences of my life!! You will not regret booking.

A must do experience in Tanzania with awesome, welcoming guides
5/5

We highly recommend the 4-day safari camping option. We had an extremely welcoming group, guide, and chef that made the entire experience worthwhile. The safari car was also super clean and well maintained. Ezekiel was an awesome guide, who was very knowledgeable, kind, and easy going. Tito was our chef, who made the most amazing meals. On one of the nights, we had downpour rain, and somehow both Ezekiel and Tito helped to create an awesome evening full of a 4-course dinner and games that made it fun and full of laughter. I couldn’t of asked for a better welcome to Tanzania to see its beautiful nature and welcoming community. Suricata Safari is a must do and unforgettable, especially with guides as great as Ezekiel and Tito.

Nice, accommodating, knowledgeable
4/5

I had a really good time. Masai Mara and Amboseli are stunning and truly hard to describe in words.

The hotels were all nice.

The drivers, Raymond and Kevin, were both very accommodating, kind, and knowledgeable. I would recommend them!

Very mixed experience with a lot of downsides
2/5

It took me very long to write this review, but I think it´s just fair not to write only positive reviews which is of course much nicer. But we would like to let others know what we have experienced. We have been many times to Africa on all kind of safaris from budget to high-end luxury, but never left with this unhappy feeling. So lets start...
I found kingfisher safaris on this website announcing a "private" mobile camping safari operating in Botsuana. Meanwhile they changed the announcement in "shared", thats what we ended up but expecting a private safari . I still have got a screen shot of the original advertisement to proof it.
But already the beginning was difficult. We were picked up late, Pilot arrived than eventually in a hurry, the car packed up with food, equipment up to the roof etc. There was no excuse. Instead he told us, that due to a late arrival of the trip the day before he had to pack new. At this time we were still fine. But as he stopped a little later at the main road offloading us with two chairs and a cooler box, he drove quickly away. My bag with everything like passports, money was still at the backseat and could have fallen off easily from the safari vehicle. We had no idea how long it would take and where he drove to. This was the first time I felt very unhappy. The rest I will write in keywords.
First the positive aspects:
- The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. Pauline the chef did a wonderful job. Elena the host, was such a warmly and attentive person and Collin did everything that the campsite was in a perfect condition.
-The locations of the campsites were magical.
-All the equipment was good.
- Our unexpected co-travelers turned out to be very lovely persons and we appreciated their company a lot.
Now the negative aspects:
- Guiding was less than mediocre. (here I have to be more detailed) I'm pretty sure that Pilot knows his stuff, but didn't show it to us. At Khwai Privat Concession he was only at the radio and driving us from sighting to sighting which others told him. He never was reading any animal tracks, always the windows closed never listening to alarm calls etc. At Moremi as there were just a few vehicles he had to work a bit harder. We wished he would have explained us more about the unique ecosystem of the Okavango Delta and all the connections between fauna and flora. Pilot almost never stoped for birds, mangooses etc. We felt racing from lion sighting to lion sighting, but none of us four was so extremely interested in them. Once I asked Pilot to stop at the zebras which have been in a wonderful light (we are photographers) but instead he was driving to the next lions. He never really attended to our requests. Maybe the worst was, that he was teasing animals , which is an absolutely unethical behavior. For example he provoked a male hippo to attack the car several times. Another example was playing hyena calls from the mobile to a lion family with tiny cubs.
- Logistic is not the strong side of Pilot. We tried to help and let him know before what kind of beverages we like to avoid buying useless drinks. Didn't work. The first evening we were offered an already open bottle of Merlot and I did write before that the only the wine we don't like is Merlot. After half of the time he run out of gin, and to mention we are not heavy drinkers. In the end no tonic water, no Coca Cola, no white wine, no red wine..... and no excuse.
- Driving style of Pilot was fast, sometimes reckless. We had to use the seatbelts first time on a safari. Pilot general did not respond well to criticism or suggestions. In this case when we asked to drive more carefully, he reacted grumpy and kept driving almost the whole afternoon without stopping and talking to us.
Summarising this was unfortunately our worst safari experience so far even though the magical nature of Botsuana and the wonderful staff of Pilot were hard to beat.
