Lilian and the Zohar team are absolutely phenomenal - phenomenal both as people and as a company! If you’re reading this part of the review it’s likely because you’re in a position my partner and I were in several months ago where we came across so many Safari tour companies who all seemed to offer the same experiences and it was tough to differentiate between them all. After narrowing it down to three companies, the difference and what led us to book with Zohar was a phone call we had with Lilian where her love and passion for what she does shined through the phone. My partner and I had a general idea of where we wanted to visit on the Safari but being unfamiliar with the geography of the land and logistical details, we didn’t know what we didn’t know and Lilian helped to close that gap by tailoring an itinerary that perfectly suited the 5 days we wanted to spend.
Itinerary
We arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport and was met by 2 extremely pleasant and welcoming members of the Zohar team, David and Scholar, who greeted us with watermelon juice, fried banana chips and two personalized water bottles with our names on it! From there, we travelled to Arusha to spend a night at the perfect accommodations after a long day of travelling and the following morning we began our Safari tour by flying to central Serengeti (HIGHLY recommended vs driving to optimize time and for the stunning views!!!) and spending two memorable nights at a camp in the Serengeti!!! It was also at this camp that my partner and I celebrated our anniversary with a surprise “bush dinner” (pictures below) I planned for her with the gracious help of Lilian. From there we travelled to Ndutu and witnessed the Great Migration which was surreal to witness in person and lastly, we visited Ngorongoro and spent a night with breathtaking views of the crater which can’t be put into words in this review. Lilian did a great job recommending the perfect accommodations for our needs and budget. Every place we stayed throughout the Safari was comfortable, safe and serene. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was also freshly cooked daily.
Guide & Wildlife on Game Drives
Ahmed was our guide for the Safari and THE BEST person we could have asked for to guide us! Ahmed is extremely intelligent about the wildlife, ecology of area and way of life in Tanzania in general. Given his years of exposure and experience in the Safari tour business as his father was also a guide, he knew the parks like the back of his hand. Ahmed also had a keen eye for wildlife so he would often see things we couldn’t. Lastly, Ahmed knew almost every other guide we drove by so he was able to communicate with them and get intel on what wildlife they saw with their group and where so we could then drive in that direction ourselves. After spending our time with Ahmed, we truly believe that a good guide can be the difference between you having an average tour vs a stellar, life changing tour and for us Ahmed was outstanding! Ahmed, we’re looking forward to seeing you again when we return to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro, as you promised us :)

Very beautiful experience
We started our tour originally with a different company and a different driver. But our car broke down after a few kilometres and that's where Ben came into scene. Our driver and Ben were talking and Ben decided to take us with his safari car and change his plans for us. We had great 4 days with him first at Masai Mara and later at Lake Nakuru. Accommodation and food was great, and Ben was very attentive and helpful. We saw everything we wished for, got lots of great pictures and beautiful memories. Highly recommended!

Great organizacion for a fly-in safari in the Okavango
I booked a four-night, five-day fly-in safari with Gondwana Tours & Safaris. From the very beginning, the service was excellent and they helped me choose the camp that best suited my budget and interests. Their email communication was very efficient, and they confirmed receipt of payments promptly. The safari, both the plane flights and the camp, were perfect. I was able to see lions, wild dogs, elephants, buffalo... It was a great experience! I highly recommend Gondwana Tours & Safaris for this type of trip.

Eric helped me figure out getting there. Jimmy made me feel like no problem could arise which he could not sort out. The animals where at peace fat and healthy. More impressive than zoo animals. Kenya needs tourism so bring small bills cash and spend it.

Amazing experience and service
We went on a 2-day safari with our amazing guide Gaston. We were picked up in our hotel in Dar Es Salaam and drove to Mikumi national park. On the way we had a few stops and got lunch on the way. We went for an afternoon game drive and were stunned by the park and all the animals we got to see in the short period of time we were there. We slept over in the national park and we were also here super positively surprised by the high quality of the rooms and service. The food was ok. The next morning we had a early morning game drive where we also were super lucky and got to see a lot of animals very close by. Our guide was very nice and a perfect fit for us. He told us some facts about the animals, but also allowed us to experience the wildlife in complete silence. The silence of the nature is what shook us the most! The sounds and views are truly amazing. For information, we saw lions, zebras, giraffes, hippos, monkeys, baboons, wildebeasts, elephants, birds, impalas and soooo on! We had an amazing trip and would 100% recommend KIHINDO Tours and Safaris to all our friends, and would love to come back one day!

A Perfect Safari !
As soon as I expressed my interest for a Kenyan safari package online, Meschak was in touch with me offering his expert advise and details. Although initially we wanted to do tour in Decmber 2022, with some other work we had to reschedule it to March 2023. Throughout this time period Meschak was in touch with me where he promptly answered our questions, and we negotiated over the itinerary, accomadation options and cost. This initial phase established the fact that they are very professional and always wanted to provide the best to their clients. On the day of our arrival in Nairobi, Meshack greeted us warmly and made sure we felt comfortable and our first day is perfect. We had a driver assigned at a reasonable cost for our first and only day in Nairobi and he gave us a good overview of Nairobi city and other closeby attractions which we enjoyed a lot. On day 2 we were greeted by Francis who became a part of our family for the next 7 days of the tour. He was very professional , polite, knowledgeable, respectful and patient which we loved as we had very long drives with him within parks as well as from one location to another. We highly recommend him as a driver/guide. Overall the itinerary was very well prepared with lot of thought given to make sure we were not too tired and we had enough time to experience the different landscapes and animals in lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara and Amboseli. On the last day Meschak met us again to say good bye and wanted to know our feedback so they can improve further. We surely recommend Alligator Adventures and Safaris without any doubt. Bush Troop Safaris organised a tailor-made walking safari to Laikipia. The trip included three days of walking through conservancies and common land where we were able to see a variety of game in a largely unspoilt and extraordinarily beautiful landscape. We were an older group and needs and our limitations were well considered and catered for. During the planning process, Jacqueline in Nairobi and Michael in Nanyuki were in regular contact to ensure that we were happy with the programme. The organisation on the ground was thoughtful and seamless: food was prepared and ready when we arrived at the various points, our tents were set up and ready, the food was tasty, well-prepared and plentiful. The staff running the camps were attentive, thorough and discreet. Our guides, two Samburu leaders, were exceptional and made the walk rich in information and detail - most importantly given that we were walking through elephant country, we felt completely safe in their hands. Without a doubt, the trip was great value and very, very enjoyable.
