Omar was knowledgeable, professional, kind, perceptive, and a joy to spend time with.
Experience of a life time! My husband and I booked with Telly Africa Safaris for a 2 night 3 day safari and we are thoroughly impressed.
We are from America and I was nervous about booking a trip so far from home. I was worried about the legitimacy, safety, and finding a worth while trip for a reasonable price. We did all the research, looked at all the reviews and prices, and I’m telling you this is the place to book.
Omar was our guide and he was exactly what I would want in a tour guide! He knew all the great places to show us the animals. He was very perceptive to what we wanted to do while providing his professional opinion on situations (ie-when to wake up and where to go to see the most beautiful sunrise, when and how long to stay at certain view points), he welcomed questions, was a joy to spend 3 days with, AND he was previously a photographer before he was a tour guide so it felt like we got a huge deal getting him as our guide.
We saw all of the Big 5! The lions, buffalo, leopard, rhino, and elephant.
The sleeping and eating accommodations far exceeded my expectations. Our first night on the safari we slept in the fanciest tent there ever was. There was the most comfortable bed, electricity and running water! The second night we stayed at the rhino lodge and they had a very cozy room with a fire place ready for us. Our meals were healthy and very tasty, and always had multiple options. I always ate a little of everything because it was so good.
This tour has the best value at the cheapest price. It was overwhelming comparing all the different safari packages trying to pick a nice one but not spend a fortune. This tour is where you will find the biggest bang for your buck. I would not pick a safari from Asilia safari, Andbeyond safari, or Nomad Tanzania because they are 3x as much and will provide the same experience. They may have more reviews and a larger social media following but you’re paying extra for the branding not for a better safari experience. (I know this because we ate, slept, and visited the same areas throughout our trip.)
Like I said before, I was worried about feeling safe and I just want to reiterate how fortunate I feel to have gotten Omar as our guide. I’m sure the others are good too, but I can’t imagine that they will take care of you as well as he took care of us. He taught us about the tsetse fly the first time we had a fly in our Jeep and he taught us about how Buffalo will charge at a car when a Buffalo looked like it might after we were driving away. He taught us things at the perfect time so we always felt educated and at ease. We ask a lot of questions, and we were very pleased with how much he knew about all the animals. He taught us so much! As well as educating us on our trip, he also had a keen skill of reading situations and perceiving what we wanted without us saying much. He asked us if we wanted to eat when we started to get hungry and he asked us if we wanted to visit the shops when we passed by. He checked in with us often, talked to us when we wanted to talk, and was quiet when we wanted to rest. He probably gained this good intuition of caring for others by being a good husband and raising his 10 children. We are a big fan of Omar. I even lost my bag, realized it 3 1/2 hours after we drove away from the park and he contacted many different people until he found someone to bring it to us!! He can also imitate all the animal sounds very well, which was very fun and amusing.
Seeing the animals in their natural habitat was an amazing experience that everyone should have in their life time, and the person that aids you in that journey will either take away from the experience or add to it, so I encourage you to be picky with the person you choose.
3 days, 2 nights was perfect for us. We were able to see so many different animals in multiple different locations. I think anything less than 3 days might feel like you didn’t get enough time, but anything more might feel like over kill. 3 days, 2 nights felt like a sweet spot. I also feel like this has a lot to do with the time of year you visit. If you visit during the busy season (June-October) you might want to stay a day or two longer, so you have more opportunity to see all the animals. It’s best to do things like this during the off season because there are far less people out and the animals are more comfortable and active with less people. We were able to see elephants mating, lion cubs and baby monkeys. I feel like this time of year around April is perfect. May is probably great too, so I would book this tour with Omar soon. You will not regret it!!

Great safari at the Masai Mara
We had a great experience with the company in the Masai Mara for 2 nights, 3 days. Our driver Sammy was very kind and good at navigating the park. I have used this company for several safaris and they have always been very reliable, offering competitive prices. They are also responsive on WhatsApp.

Excellent organization and choices of lodgings and activities.
Our tour operator, Muto, was really fantastic. He made sure we experienced a very easy trip and Africa Zim Tours provided a well rounded itinerary. We did the 12 nights in Zimbabwe and Botswana and Muto was there for us every step of the way from the time we stepped off the plane in Victoria Falls to the flight back to Johannesburg from Maun. We stayed in very nice lodges, luxury tents and rustic bush tenting for a well rounded experience. We covered a decent amount of the upper Zimbabwe/Botswana area so we were able to see a really nice assortment of wildlife and terrain. He even took us to a Vulture Feeding that we had heard about that was not on the itinerary. We felt safe at all times and our accommodations and food were really good. You get a lot of value for your money and we highly recommend taking this tour especially for your first time to these countries. The guides are local and they know how to communicate well with the locals to provide you with the best of services!

Fabulous elephant ride
Best choice we made was booking the evening (sundown) elephant ride and put them to bed. So much more to enjoy than the introduction to elephants. Riding an elephant is a unique and memorable experience - we will not forget this!! Cannot recommend it enough!!

Absolutely life-changing: a rare opportunity to marvel at the world's beauty
My girlfriends and I signed up for a five-day safari experience with Albert and it was one of the greatest adventures we could have asked for. We ended up on the safari with a family of four, who live just outside of Nairobi, and quite frankly I couldn't have imagined a better combination of people. Albert has an incredible sense of humor and patiently showed us around the different sites, starting off with Maasai Mara National Park. We saw every form of wildlife we could possibly imagine in Maasai Mara and Serengeti, from wildebeests to gazelles to rhinos, and Albert made every effort to get us as close as possible to the animals without compromising our safety, of course. He navigated the terrain like a pro and took incredible care to make us each feel at ease. We continued onto Lake Naivasha where we saw hippos and majestic birds up close, and we stayed at a resort one evening that had giraffes and zebras safely roaming around the property. I can't even begin to stress how mind-blowing it was to order wine or snacks as these majestic creatures casually meandered the grounds. We ended the trip in Amboseli National park, known for its elephant population and had a gorgeous view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, which we now want to go back and properly hike.
We can't thank Albert enough for accommodating our desperate fixation on acquiring coffee in the mornings to counter the 5am wake-up calls and for humoring us as both the small children and we—the alleged adults—each squealed dramatically at each bird and animal sighting. And further, Axis Safari made arranged our airport/hotel pickup and dropoffs, took care of our meals and accommodations, and ensured we could experience everything from camping with family meals to resort stays with a fantastic onsite bartender to shopping along the way for souvenirs. I'll never forget that trip and I can't wait to return to Nairobi and continue to explore these beautiful parks. Highly, highly recommend—ask for Albert if you can, he's the BEST!—and I can guarantee you'll get plenty of bang for your buck.

Excellent guides, extremely helpful, always available to assist
Blessing and the team where great to deal with from the start, having never visited prior they booked what I needed at a very affordable rate, ensured I had the correct currency conversion, on arrival we where greeted with friendly smiles polite English speaking guides and air-conditioned vehicles in good order.
The river cruise we where booked on through them was amazing and once again very affordable and on time with great guides.
Day trip into chobe ( Bostwana) was great and we where walked through all boarder tranfers and assisted into all transport that was older but clean and reliable.
All guides where knowledgeable and at no time did we feel unsafe.
Highly recommended them.

Tanzania - A Diverse and Unforgettable Adventure Awaits!
Tanzania offers a truly exceptional travel experience, with its varied landscapes, rich culture, and abundant wildlife. During my recent trip, I visited the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and the Serengeti, each providing unique and memorable moments. The Serengeti was awe-inspiring, with thousands of wildebeest and zebras roaming the endless plains, while the Ngorongoro Crater allowed us to witness a diverse array of animals in a compact area, making for a fantastic one-day experience.
One of the highlights was seeing three lions walking together in the Ngorongoro Crater - a rare sight that our guide, Edward, managed to track down. Throughout the journey, the weather was pleasant, further enhancing our wildlife encounters.
Our cultural experience was enriched by a visit to a Maasai village, where we learned about their customs, traditions, and even had the opportunity to explore their homes. This provided a unique insight into the local culture and added depth to our Tanzanian adventure.
Safety was never a concern during our trip. Even when we ventured to Dar es Salaam and the stunning island of Zanzibar, we felt secure and at ease. The low season offered the advantage of uncrowded attractions and beautiful blue waters, making for an idyllic getaway.
In summary, Tanzania is an incredible destination that I would highly recommend for its diverse offerings. The safaris are a must-visit, and the rest of the country offers a delightful one-time travel adventure. Don't miss the opportunity to explore this breathtaking land!
