Wonderful experience capturing the beauty of wildlife in Kenya
From the beginning to the end, Axis Africa Safaris provided an excellent service. As many other travellers I had multiple questions about itinerary and more in depth details regarding the places that we as a group were going to visit. Any concerns that I had were quickly addressed, firstly via email and then while on the way to our first stop on day 1.
Moreover, we even had an opportunity to visit the Masai village for slightly longer than it was initially scheduled. This was a result of our interest to learn more about the tribe's culture and heritage. It is also worth to note that our driver, James proved his ability not only to quickly find the wild animals in their natural habitat, but also to share his broad knowledge about them.
Given the fact that nature is incredibly unpredictable, it is difficult to foretell what can happen once you hit the road, and you're on the safari. Even though that some animal species are not as abundant, we were able to to see all those that were listed in the safari tour description. Likewise, it was also an insightful experience to speak directly to the rangers work in the national reserves.
Generally, I spent a unique time, and the whole team deserves big thanks. They genuinely want to show you the natural wonders and make your experience memorable.

My first contacts with new horizons and overall experience was fabulous. As this was my first time in Africa, I was nervous about how things would be and excited to see with my eyes wild animals in their natural homes and connecting with new cultures. I was solo and Emmanuel was my driver. He is outstanding and passionate about his county and his job. I was able to trek chimps and Gorillas along with traditional dances at ibyiwacu besides Kigali city tour which was WOW on every step we made as highlights of my trip. Rwanda is so good, caring people, clean and green country wide, very safe to hangout with outstanding customer services from the park rangers, hotels and lodges . I can't thank them enough as everything was customized with my preferences and budget along with copying to the changing conditions and requirements for covid. Professional and 100% worth the money
Me and my wife took a private 5-day safari with Mufasa tours and it went fantastic!
Our experience started with requesting a quote through this website. We received a response the same day with several options and all our questions answered.
Even though Mufasa’s offer was more expensive than other quotes we received, we decided to accept it, and that was the right decision!
I was a little bit hesitant to deposit 10% in advance, but it also turned out to be ok.
We even had to reschedule the trip due to personal issues, and this was not a problem for the operator.
We received a list off all the requirements we needed to enter Kenya including an invitation to apply for eVisa. Our manager Joel followed up regularly to make sure we have our paper work ready.
The safari itself went brilliant! Our guide Joe showed great knowledge about the wildlife and local culture. He was always in contact with other drivers in a park. We always arrived on a spot when there were only a few cars and we got the best view point. We really enjoyed game drives with him.
Our favourite park is of course Massai Mara. The coolest thing was to see the whole big five in one day, before noon.
We were lucky to see a black rhino crossing the road right in front of us, lions having zebra for breakfast, a leopard fending off his pray from a pack of hyenas and taking it on a tree, and a pride of lions playing with its with cubs. The next day we saw four cheetahs hunting an antipope. This was a fantastic end for our safari!
During the five days we stayed in awesome hotels and game camps. Each place offered great service and clean rooms with canopy over the bed. Each place offered other facilities like bars, swimming pools, massage and spa services. One advise I can offer is to bring a power plug adapter, since Kenya has UK type power plugs.
Another concern we had before our trip was the food. However there was nothing to worry about! Each place we stayed in offered an open buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious food. Local and international cuisine.
After the safari we had a day free in Nairobi. We ordered a one day Nairobi tour at Mufasa. We went to the giraffe center and Nairobi museum. This was another amazing experience delivered by Mufasa!
Now we have a ton of photos to go through with our family and friends, and we cannot stop advertising Kenya and Mufasa to them!
We are sure we will be heading to Africa again very soon!

Excellent Experience
We did a 1 day Akagera Safari with Rwanda Eco Company and had a great experience! I had really wanted to add the boat trip and they had no problem making that happen. They also picked us up and just made everything really easy and relaxing. We didn't see everything we would have liked to see (we knew seeing a Black Rhino would be a small miracle) but we did see lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, tons of giraffes and zebras up close, and so many birds. I would highly recommend this company - mora koze Baptiste and team!
