5/5

Nature Travel Namibia replied to me something like 10 minutes after I wrote them. I explained my wish to do a self-drive travel in Namibia, but I had no time to organize by myself, number of days and how we would have liked to travel (like camping but not everyday). Allison prepared the itinerary, booked the accomodation (mix of camping and guesthauses), the full-equipped car and keeping me always informed about the possible delayes or need to change few accomodations due to hish season (Easter holidays). They organized the pick-up at the airport through the car rental and we also met Nikita, a Nature Travel representative, that re-explained us all the itinerary, the best roads to reach places, general reccomendation, restaurants etc She also came with us to fix our problems with the Namibian SIM cards. The itinerary printed was perfect, road exlpained, suggestion where to buy food shopping and find petrol stations, the special places to find along the road and sometimes even tips on "timing" as distances can be very long. Once we had a little problem with the car fridge, they immediately organize where to go for a check. Above all we were really happy about the different accomodations they resevred for us, with a good mix of simple but very special campig (Like Madisa), inside the park Etosha or just outside but excellent camping. Few nights in nice guesthouses to be sometimes more comfortable than camping. Overall an excellent service, valuing the money for the quality and for being ad hoc tailored and not "just a travel agency". Looking forward to the next experience.

One of a kind!
5/5

Just came back from my 4 day safari tour with Suricata Safaris.
I cannot even describe how stunning this experience was!
Doing a safari trip is already something really amazing, but I can guarantee that going with Suricata safaris made this experience absolutely stunning and unforgettable!
I literally cannot complain about anything!
Our chef Tito and our guide Freddy were total professionals!
Tito made the most amazing food for us and always ser the table as if we were at 5 star restaurant.
Freddy is incredible, with a lot of knowledge about the animals and the parks and also really funny! And with a lot of respect for the environment and park rules!
So it felt like in four days we all became friends!
They both took a very good care of us, helping with everything.
I will definitely recommend Suricata Safaris to all of my friends and everyone , they have a diferencial, no doubt.
Also everything was very well organized since the pick up at the airport till the last minute.
Asante sana, guys!

Extremely accommodating, friendly and high knowledge of wildlife and Kenya.
5/5

Unforgettable experience with Jocky Tours! We were happy all around with our guide, the stays and the program. Our guide, Dennoh, was able to answer all of our questions and provided us with ample information about the wildlife and culture of Kenya. He was also extremely accommodating to our requests. We saw 4 of the Big Fives in the Maasai Mara Park (no Rhino - rather rare in the Maasai Mara Park).
We booked a tailor made 3 day tour with Jocky Tours. 2 day safari in Maasai Mara Park, a boat trip on Lake Naivasha and at the end a hike on Mount Longonot. Price/performance ratio was great!
jfyi: for 5 star resorts darlings not the best stay in Maasai Mara Park.

Trustworthy & Reliable
4/5

We loved our self-drive adventures. We could use the hire car to go to lots of the national parks. The company kept in touch, agreed to allow us to change the dates when I ended up in hospital, we're fine even when we had an issue with the exhaust, werent too bothered about small marks on the car. The Rav4 was perfect for what we needed. Definitely would recommend. Beware though - driving standards are totally different in Africa than the UK, Europe, America etc.

Best wildlife experience
5/5

We went on the safari with our two kids, one and three yo, and it went so well. Rajab and Vincent made sure we hade the the best possible experience. For the three yo we boroughed a child Seat from Sopai, and for the one yo we used our own.

The safari was more than we could ever imagine, all the animals we saw and how close we got to them was amazing! Our guides was the best, and they where so good with the kids!

The hot lunch is a very positiv experience, with good food, and great location in the middel of the wild.

Also the lodges was very nice, and all the people working there where so kind and friendly.

We are forever thankful to both Rajab and Vincent who made our safari one of the best experiences of our lifes.

About: Kenya
The experience of a Kenyan safari couldnt have been anymore magical.
Overall rating
5/5

We did a budget safari, the accommodation was VERY budget, the food was bland, the drinks were warm but WOW the safari was magical.

A Kenyan safari has been on my bucket list for over 30 years and this experience excelled in every way. The guide was amazing, we saw a giraffe running, a young lion devouring a buffalo 10 meters from us, we had a hippo run to beat us getting to the river bank, we saw a baby rhino playing with his mummy, 2 lions mating, a herd of elephants walk in front of us then 2 babies come running out of the bush to keep up with them and so much more.
We went to Masia Mara, Lake Nakuru and Embossili - all 3 different and amazing in their own way.
The people are full on as they want to sell you every piece of rubbish possible, but there is also beautiful workman ship too.
Nairobi a big dirty busy city but a gateway to an experience you will never forget.
We went beginning of MArch and was dry but thankfully the last few days it rained (we had also gone to Mombassa to a 5 star resort for 5 days) so when back in Nairobi we felt happy to see the rain as the animals needed it so badly.

I will never forget this amazing trip and cannot recommend it enough PS you do not need to take US dollar lol!

The most amazing East African and Primate Safari Tour!
5/5

I don’t write reviews often, but this one deserves it. I’m not being compensated and had no stipulations about writing a review.

Peter and his growing team with Big Apes is by far one of the best tour companies with whom we’ve worked in our 150+ holidays in 75 countries across the globe. He customizes travel plans, learns his customers’ personalities to adapt the trip, and is responsive to feedback. There are numerous safari contractors in Uganda/Rwanda—take this one!

We took a tour through Rwanda and Uganda for golden monkeys, mountain gorillas, and some local culture. The overall price was amazing given the costs of permits in the countries, the accommodations Peter selected were perfect, and the amount of knowledge sharing along the trek was supreme. Peter guided us from Kigali to Volcanoes to Bwindi and back again, with several stops in between.

We couldn’t have asked for a better time in East Africa. We have been disappointed with other safari tour contractors in the past who felt like rolling cash cows, always hounding for extra money, not responsive to feedback or offering flexibility, and cutting corners everywhere possible. Take some time to make comparisons between tour companies, but highly encourage you to use Big Apes. You won’t be disappointed!

Easy to work with
5/5

We had a great time at Kariega Game Reserve. The best part was even in a short stay we were able to see many different animals including giraffes, elephant, rhino, and lions. Our communication with Kathi was great through out. If we had stayed longer we would have loved to go to some national parks too. Thank you so much
