Fantastic 6 days!
5/5

Our safari with Lion King was the safari I've always dreamed of going on. It far exceeded expectations in every sense. There is not a single thing I can complain about. It was perfect. Lion King took care of everything for us.

Our guide Goodluck took us on a 6 day tour of Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoroand Lake Manyala where everything was taken care of.

Goodluck gave us a clear explanation of what we would be doing each day and what we should expect in terms of driving times, what we would see, food and accommodation everyday. He connected with the other guides and took us to the best places for observing wildlife up close. We were continually amazed by his ability to spot animals from crazy distances and took time to help us find them with the binoculars provided. His skills went beyond the big game with an ability to name any bird, tree or plant we we interested in.

The accomodation was comfortable and the food on site was well prepared with great lunch boxes each day.

Goodluck has safe driving style and ability to manoeuvre the rough roads and muddy tracks made me feel comfortable. He treated the Land Cruiser like it was his own cleaning it inside and out each day making the experience even more comfortable.

I would highly recommend Lion King Adventures if you want a well organised safari. Make sure you ask for Goodluck!

A lot of wildlife for such a small park, but also a lot of tourists.

Lots of animals of different species, wide plains and hills with acacia trees. Africa as it should be.

I was very happy with rhinos but dissapointed with flamingos - I expected hundreds but there where maybe 30 and quite far from the car.
The waterfall was mighty and impressive - lots of water due to heavy rains.

We stayed at Talek Bush camp. The guides are marvellous, they are experienced and they know the terrain like the back of their hands! We were a photographic group and they understand our needs and we are all very pleased with their service. Accomodation is basic but the amenities are adequate for we were only in the camp for meals and sleeping. We encountered good weather with only one rainy day. Sunrise and sunsets were amazing most days except a couple of overcast days. The wildlife is simply amazing ! We saw the big five , countless Wildebeests , zebras, giraffes, elephants, rhinos , many species of antelopes, hippos, mongoose, wild cats, hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, lions and cubs and many many more! We also experienced some fantastic kills by the big cats and how they fight amongst themselves for the spoilts. We also saw an amazing range of bird life from tiny ones to big flightless ones! Most of the sightings are quite near and the rangers are always present to ensure a safety buffer zone is present between the jeeps and animals. A visit to the Masai village is also a highlight.

The weather was poor due to climate change - the short dry season was supposed to be starting, but there were heavy rains and floods. Because of that there were less animals in Masai Mara than usually, but still there where plenty - I saw lions, leopards, cheetah, elephants, giraffes, hippos, gazelles, antelopes, monkeys, crocodiles, lizards and many species of birds. On the plus side - no mosquitoes and dramatic skies over the savannah. It was definitely worth to go.

We could see so many wildlife in one area ! Each time we sight an animal, it is doing something different...hunting, eating or just lazing around...this includes the bird life as well. The sunrise and sunset mood are just simply beautiful!

The best experience I’ve ever had
5/5

Mattaw Safaris is literally the BEST in the business!!!! If I could give them 100 stars I would. They helped us find all the animals, even the black rhinos! They didn’t even let the mud, rain, and very deep puddles stop them from showing us around the Mara. HIGHLY recommend mattaw safaris.

They were more than kind with us, safari was perfect. Our guide was super professional and thanks to him we saw the big five. Food was very good and the tent also was big enough to sleep well.
