Tanzania Horizon made my childhood dream come true!
Me and 3 friends went on a 6 days safari, starting from Arusha and we stayed at the legenday Hatari Lodge near Arusha National Park.
I have been dreaming about this trip since I can remember and everything was even more beautiful than expected. The food was so good and delcious and the view of Mount Meru was breathtaking.
We continued to Tarangire and saw the big 5 within the first 2 hours of our journey. It felt like enterning a different world! I did not have high expectation concering Tarangire but the park truly impressed through its diversity and density of wildlife.
The true highlight and the reason for the entire trip was the Serengeti though. As a child I always watched documentaries and follwoed Bernhard Grzimek's work whenever I could. Standing near the famous sign felt like being a child again.
The lodges that were selected for us were all very beautiful, offering a great standard.
We ended our safari at Ngorongoro Crater and stayed at Rhino Lodge. I absolutely loved the view from the terrace and the cozy fireplace.
Our guide Sabas took very good care of us and also the jeep was always in perfect condition. Sabas cleaned it everyday and we truly enjoyed the entire trip. Thanks to Tanzania Horizon Safaris and their team we had an amazing time and will forever keep those memories.

As part of our 25 day adventure through Tanzania-Zanzibar, we’ve had an incredibly beautiful journey over the past 10 days, exploring the highlights of Northern Tanzania. With Adrian as our experienced driver and engaging host, he guided us with an appreciation for the stunning nature, a safe driving style, and care for his vehicle through the ever-changing landscapes of Ngorongoro and Serengeti. We couldn’t have wished for anything better. Of course, Adrian took us to see the usual Big Five, and we also encountered the Ugly Five. Carlton was very informative and patient with my initial inquiry. Wines was responsive and informative leading up to the days of my arrival. Wines accompanied the driver to pick me up from the airport and accommodated my needs from that day throughout my safaris, accommodations, etc. She was always available no matter the hour and was responsive and reassuring every single time I reached out. In addition she would reach out just to make sure I was happy with the safari, accommodations, etc. Overall the value for the money was excellent! I stayed at the mid range accommodations and they were wonderful; the security and customer service was excellent.

Good organization
Well organized and reliable pickup, drop off and the overall timetable. The guide was very knowledgeable about the place as well as animals that we saw. He communicated during the tour with colleagues in order to take us to places where there was something to see at that time.
We chose the tented lodges to avoid sleeping in a tent and I’m glad we did so. The lodges were as luxurious as can be for the middle of wilderness, at all places people were very friendly and trained and you did feel safe.
The company also organized a balloon flight for us over Serengeti which I think was worth the money. Again, the guide was very experienced and made the experience worthwhile.
