Hyrax Safaris is a warm and professional family. Its itinerary is the most thoughtful and comfortable one compared to other several travel agents. Emma, the agent assistant, gave the best advice on safaris and city tour whenever we asked her by emails. She is so nice and patient, providing the most enjoyable service we've ever had. Jackson, the driver and guide of safaris, leading us to see the lion hunting, leopards, giraffes and all the animals we've wanted to see. He is the guy that made our dream come true. Dennis, the city tour driver, is the best time-controller, going through the giraffe center and elephant orphanage. He meets all the demands and take us to the airport safely. All the members of Hyrax Safaris make this Kenyan safari trip a wonderful experience!!!

Silas (the owner) communication was spot on with really quick responses at any time of the day, helping to make me feel comfortable with such a big purchase remotely!
We were lucky enough to have Isiah as our guide! Hilarious, knowledgeable and experienced! He know when and where we should be to make sure got the most out of the experience!
He also went the extra mile by doing things like printing out our train tickets for us including the return leg, this is something that friends we made that were with a different tour provide had to do themselves. Little things like that helped to make our trip a once in a lifetime!
A couple of things to note/put you at ease when booking:
- The payment portal on the link that Silas sends you does look a little suspect, but it is real and works fine.
- Communication is mainly through WhatsApp which is fantastic for easy chatting
- There are a few additional trips/activities that you can do along the way, a boat ride round a lake Naivasha $80 per boat, a visit to a Masai mara camp $30 per person, these aren't mandatory, but worth knowing about before you go!
Overall I would highly recommend Apodiformes for any tour you might be considering!

We highly recommend Wildlife Safari's if you are planning your safari trip. They are extremely helpful and efficient and provided all the information we required from planning our trip right up to arrival in South Africa and linking us up with our guide. The service throughout our 4 day Kruger Park and private lodge was excellent. It was certainly great value and our guide was reliable and his knowledge of the bush and South Africa made our trip. Our guide was Nik, he collected us on day 1 from our hotel, at this point I would recommend that after you arrive in South Africa you leave 24 hours before you commence your safari. We found this gave us time to recover from the flight and relax, as the schedule is quite intense and you are up early and have 4 full days ahead. Then wow what an experience we had, right from our drive to our first nights accommodation. We had no expectations and I think that is the best way to be as the bush is full of wonderful delights and if you are patient will share its amazing wildlife, birds, scenery and stunning sun rises and sun downs. We saw so many animals and fulfilled the Big 5 easily several times. Nik was an excellent guide and we would highly recommend him, he made our 4 days informative, exhilarating and was great company. He gave us the best experience and we thoroughly enjoyed his company. All the 3 nights accommodation was adequate and comfortable, where your days are so full after a shower and dinner your bed was welcoming. The Private Lodge with its stunning back garden view of the bush was breath taking along with its welcoming and extremely friendly team, we will certainly return. Overall great value for money and we can not wait to return.

My boyfriend and I did the two day Ngorongoro Crater and the Tarangire National Park safari. Luna Rides did a great job of arranging a knowledgeable safari guide, a beautiful lodge, and efficient transportation. We saw many incredible animals, from elephants brushing against our vehicle to lions stalking prey. The commute to the parks was longer than to be expected so we recommend booking a three-day trip instead of 2. Anastasia was quick in her response and assisted us when it was needed. Overall, an amazing experience!

Professional, efficient and friendly
I booked a weekend away through Gems of Africa and it was an effortless and smooth process. The different options available were sent to me outlining everything I needed to know (price, inclusions, exclusions etc.) and the consultant was quick to respond to my follow up questions.
Everything was organised well and we had no hiccups. I would definitely book through them again and would recommend to anyone looking to do a safari tour!

Thank you for the great week that we spent
We organized our safari trip quickly and easily. Robert responded to all our questions, and we booked the Bacon Safari based on its price, trip organization, and attitude.
But mostly, we are very pleased with our guide, Mambo (Anthony).
He knows national parks by heart. He spots the right locations for taking great pictures, and thanks to him, we were able to see everything we wanted, including hunting cats.
Our time was well spent, and we enjoyed all the Sopa lodges for our accommodation.

Very reliable and excellent value for money
We went on the Safari with Cultural Extension tour, I think that's the best way to visit northern Tanzania. The safaris were all excellent, our guide very skilled in tracking down wild animals, and the experience with the Datoga and Hazabe tribes amazing. Hekima Safaris is a very reliable small company, they provide a very flexible service with affordable prices, with the added value of their people, who always did their best, with a smile and a Karibu Sana.
