We wen't on a safari across the parks of Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Lake Manyara in early September 2019 and were quite happy with Mama Savana Safari/Regional tour.

Hassan is a good driver/guide. Alex is very honest.

We wanted to thank Serengeti African Tours and our incredible guide Shaban for an unforgettable 8-da
5/5

Tremendous

As a family with 2 children, we felt comfortable and well cared for the entire time. With Shaban’s knowledge and experience, we were able to go directly to the best locations at the best time of day for wildlife viewing. The big animals were numerous and spectacular, but Shaban took us beyond the Big 5 and was able to help us identify nearly 100 bird species as well! When our guide wasn’t expertly driving us around remote dirt roads in the Serengeti, he was serving us hot meals, entertaining the kids, or fixing our logistical problems. For example, I left my camera battery charger behind at the hotel in Arusha. Shaban had another company car pick it up and deliver it to us on safari the next day! Huge thanks to SOT and our elite guide for making out family trip 5 stars. I highly recommend this conservation-minded, locally operated tour agency.

Great Experience
5/5

We had a great time, sharing the car only with our group of friends. It was all well organized and the guides shared many interesting facts with us. They also took a lot of time and stopped everywhere where we had something to see. I think it's great value for money. Would definitely recommend this safari!

A great safari that exceeded all my expectations!
5/5

I have been on safari together with my family for seven days. All of us are extremely satisfied with Lion King Adventures but especially with our amazing safari guide Oussie! He was very friendly, attentively and well organized. Because of his great knowlage we were able to ask him a lot about the locals, the county, the landscape, plants and of course about all the beutiful animals we have seen. I have got to know a lot of interesting things i didn’t know before. The Lodges and Camps were also very nice. They were all different from each ohter and the stay in every single one was a great experience on its own. We saw everything you could ask for and especially loved the breathtaking wildlife in the serengeti. We also were extremely lucky to see two Mara river crossings with hundreds and hundreds of Wildebeests. Thanks to the great personality and funny humor of our guide Oussi we were laughing a lot and had a unforgettable time in Tansania. In conclusion I can say that this safari tour was an amazing experience and definitely worth doing it. Thank you Ousswaldi! We miss You.

A perfect safari from the first to the last day
5/5

Our expectations of the trip we had put together ourselves were high.
18 days was our safari over Nairobi, Samburu, Aberdare, Sweetwaters, Meru, Lage Bogoria, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara, Amboseli and Taita Hills.
And it was a wonderful trip with our driver Paul.
The trip was super organized.
The game drives were just perfect for us. It was our third time in Kenya and never before have we seen so many animals.
The lodges were totally up to our expectations with one exception.
The jeep was great. We had it to ourselves. We had booked it that way from the beginning and would definitely do it that way again.
And last but not least: our driver Paul was simply great.

Fast, professional organized; trip of a lifetime !

Best vacation ever…

Grassrootz Adventures Uganda. I highly recommend them for your trip to Africa. We had the best vacation ever!

We’ve taken a lot of wonderful trips but this one is by far our best vacation ever! I must give Sander van Zanten huge credits for that. Sander listened well to our wishes and understood what we wanted and then developed the trip of a lifetime for us! Thank you so much!!!

Before we went we received very professional assistance and advices from Sander of Grassrootz so we were well prepared.

The best thing Sander did for us was to appoint Bob Magezi as our guide. I know, more people write that their guide was great and did the extra mile, not Bob, he did 10 extra.

His knowledge of Uganda, culture, politics, the birds, the plants and of course of all the animals…impressive! His relationship with locals, other guides, rangers and anyone we met, he seems to know them and everyone loves him. Bob always made sure that we saw what we wanted and made us feel like VIP with the best places and best view. I highly recommend Bob Magezi.

Besides his professional knowledge and perfect driving skills, he is great to be with, we had so much fun together and were sorry to say goodbye to a good friend.

In 11 days we visited Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (where we walked between the rhinos!), Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth Park, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo National Park.

We went on foot safari, did river cruises, slept in the most wonderful accommodations, met the friendliest people, enjoyed local food and drinks, went through a variety of different habitats like mountains, tropical rainforest, woodland, freshwater lakes, swamps and savanna and of course were blown away by all the beautiful and impressive animals we met : lions, leopards, chimps, rhinos, crocs, hippos, impalas, giraffes, elephants, buffalos, kobs, many different kind of monkeys and so many more.

If you ever decide to go to Uganda, choose Grassrootz, Sander will build you the itinerary of your wishes and if you ask for Bob Magezi, you will have the trip of your life!

Amazing people, very professional
5/5

I worked with Mambo Gorilla Safari Uganda to plan gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and they were nothing short of amazing. Communication was fast to answer any questions and the information provided was plentiful. The entire experience at their accommodation at Lake Bunyonyi was great and their entire staff is fantastic and super friendly. I highly recommend working with this company to have an amazing experience while in Uganda.

Hassle-free at every stage
5/5

Kathi Solomon was my contact at African Welcome Safaris. At every stage of planning the trip, her communications were clear and thorough. All paperwork was complete and competently handled. Once there, the drivers she organised for Cape Town and for a day trip to Tshwane were reliable and had good knowledge of the areas we visited. Vehicles were clean and roadworthy. The trip also included a few days at Savanna Lodge at Sabi Sand. The friend I travelled with had been to the safari lodge before on Kathi's recommendation and everything about it was nothing short of fantastic. All up, the trip was memorable for all the right reasons and African Welcome Safaris certainly did their bit to make it so.
