Incredible safari — especially our guide Erasto Ngowi
Our safari included massai mara in Kenya, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Our guide for the Tanzania portion was outstanding! Erasto Ngowi was knowledgeable about every aspect of our safari from history to anatomy and physiology, geography and culture. He was friendly, organized and very accommodating. There were six in our group and Erasto was very flexible when it came to requested changes in our itinerary. We saw all of the “Big 5” with the highlight being a black rhino and her baby! If you book a safari with Soul of Tanzania (or any other outfit) definitely request Erasto. He made our trip a memorable one. And, Tanzania wws a great choice for our safari. Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti were stunning!

We can’t say enough good things about Gilmag Safaris, Mary and Gilbert. My friend and I started planning our trip to Tanzania in September 2021. Originally scheduled for June, it was moved to September/October due to a date change in another trip. After comparing several tour operators, we selected Gilmag for their wonderful customer service, responsiveness, advice, guidance and willingness to customize our experience for our private group of two. Our unending questions and special requests were answered with grace and professionalism. From picking us up at the airport at 2 am, to accommodating our requests for special shopping trips to find a “swimming costume” that didn’t make it into the suitcase and other items, to stops to get that perfect photograph of something quite out of the ordinary, we were accommodated. Having Gilbert as our driver/guide was an added special bonus. His sixth sense about where to go to find animals, along with his years of experience and great photography skills, made our trip truly memorable. Our 10 days in Tanzania, seeing the beauty of Lake Manyara, Lake Eyasi, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire, along with animals, birds and wildlife, visiting Hadzabe, Datoga and Masai tribes, and spending time in Karatu and Arusha provided memories, photos and souvenirs that will bring delight for years to come. Our biggest regret is that we were not able to see Kili (night and daytime haze obscured the view), so we’ll just have to return! Thank you to Gilbert and Mary for making our trip a vacation of a lifetime.

Review about Masai Mara National Reserve by Ryo
Almost all the animals you watch on safari can be watched in this majestic savannah.
Drivers use extreme caution to watch predators so you can watch them easily.
For budget travellers, camp lodge is near the Oloolamutia gate, eastern one.
It takes 5 hours drive to the site and for the last hour, it is necessary to go through an unpaved road.
From the gate, the safari area is eastern Mara river, which is very huge savannah.
You can visit also Kenya-Tanzania border site.

The country has an immense variety of fauna and flora, people were very welcoming.
We had a great time in South Africa, as we were lucky enough to spend 3 weeks there. The variety is great, we saw many « safari » animals, as well as whales and penguins, but also could spend time in nice town areas having good drinks and food. Definitively recommend to spend enough time there and explore the coast as well as the North

The best place for first safari and watching predators
In the Masai Mara you can watch lions, cheetahs and, if fortunately, leopards. Of course, elephants and many other popular animals are much.
At Nakuru Park,you can watch Rhinos,which is rare in other parks.
I took 4D3N safari through these two parks and got to see all these animals.
In brief, you can see all BIG5s and another popular animals in these parks if you have one week.
Compared to Botswana where I've been, I had more chance to watch predators in the country,because driver had effort to seek them.
On the other hand, safari in the country is all arranged as start/end at Nairobi, also the security in this country is not as good as the Southern African country.
Therefore, if you have a specific goal to see the famous animals in the savannah, this is the country for you.

Communications were reliable to the point of being exceptional. Service, in our case of the Land Cruiser, was good, especially when you consider the remoteness of our locations. The services provided by our guide Leonard were exemplary. He had the eyes of a hawk in finding things, and was seriously knowledgeable about habitat, where to find the animals and their attributes and ways of living. Plus he was genuinely as nice a man as you'd ever want to meet. The value was really great because the lodging and food truly exceeded our expectations. The tour itself was super fun, very adventurous and enlightening. The trip was epic: the trip of a lifetime.

More than I expected!!!
after Covid pandemic we really wanted to go as far as possible.. A friend suggested me why not Africa.. at the beginning we were a bit unsure because we never been there. The entire journey was more than I expected. Our Tour Guide “James “ was amazing he showed me and my family a lot things!! Maasai Mara was one of my favourite..!
Do not forget to ask for Amboselli game we loved it.
the price was Ok and worth because we have seen a lot in such a short time and very very friendly guide !!!!!
