He was funny and always knew the best Spots.
The Safari with Meruslope was a great experience. We had a good driver who was also funny and knew many things about the parks. The food was tasty. The only thing to improve are some washrooms in the bush camps.
Overall it was one of the best things we ever did and I would recommend it to anyone who is considering it.

An unforgetable experience
We started our search a year ago. We contacted 6 companies, but narrowed it down to 3 when we saw some companies wanted you to pay on arrival in Tanzania. We spent a few weeks comparing the different lodges and accommodation. Joshua was our initial contact and we appreciated how flexible he was with changes to the lodges. We planned to visit in June, but told him seeing the migration was the main reason for our visit. At his suggestion, we changed to the end of July. What a great suggestion! We finally decided on a nine day / eight luxury safari.
Once our deposit was paid, Naomi was our contact person. We decided to add an extra day so we could see Mount Kilimanjaro. She was able to rearrange our itinerary so we do that. She also contacted us when we had to change lodges in Tarangire due to the lake being flooded.
A few months later we had a few questions and sent numerous emails which weren't answered. We finally resorted to writing a WhatsApp message, which was answered almost immediately. Somehow my emails went into a spam / junk folder. I can understand how that happens, but got worried when my two emails for confirmation of payment weren't answered. This was the only issue we had.
Our guide Obedi met us at Kilimanjaro Internation Airport. He was an amazing guide and was very knowledgeable on the vegetation, animals and birds that we saw. We really enjoyed his great sense of humor. Driving around Tanzania can be very hair-raising but I didn't ever feel unsafe with his driving.
The Operating Director Emanuel met us in Arusha to discuss our experience with the company so far and to discuss our itinerary. I really appreciated this personal touch. We met him after the safari too.
Our first night was spent at the Tumbuli Lodge in Arusha. We really enjoyed the relaxed environment and the grounds are like a botanical gardens. I would highly recommend it.
We spent two nights at the Intimate Camp Zebra in the Northern Serengeti. It was a few minutes drive to the Mara River to see the migration. The airstrip is also close by. At night we had wildebeest and zebra moving around our tent. I can understand why you needed a guide to lead you at night.
We got to see a few hundred wildebeest crossing the river. Obedi was in radio contact with the other guides, so was able to get us great viewing spots. At one stage everywhere you looked there were wildebeest. Amazing!
We saw lions every day. We also saw cheetahs, a leopard (stalking a wildebeest crossing the Mara river), herds of elephants, buffalo and numerous birds species. The only member of the big 5 we didn't see was the rhino. Obedi really went out of his way to find one in the Ngorongoro Crater, but unfortunately we didn't see one!
Our last night was spent at Kambi ya Tembo in the Western Kilimanjaro. This was our favorite lodge. Sylvester and his staff made us really welcome. There were only 2 safari vehicles in the camp, so we enjoyed the tranquility. The game drive was very unique and I suggest it.
We hoped to see Mount Kilimanjaro but it was covered in clouds. Maybe next time!
We would highly recommend Africa Big Cat Safaris. My friend and I had an amazing experience. The lodges were great and Obedi our guide was amazing. Ask for him when you make your booking. He was extremely patient when we wanted to stop to take photographs. He also makes excellent coffee.
One suggestion: If you have to get from Tarangare National Park to North Serengeti take a plane. The nine to eleven hour drive on dusty, bumpy, wash board roads wasn't fun.

Great Safari operator with a great reputation
Firstly the quoting was excellent - we felt like SGT provided a great quote for the amount of days.
SGT were also extremely understanding with payment, particularly when we had a few immediate personal issues arise.
Our driver Elia really made this trip special - he was able to navigate the tricky terrain and even was able to fix / service the car multiple times throughout the trip (this is a normal occurrence). He was an excellent guide and we would rate him highly, his English is improving so you will need to learn a few phrases / prompts if you want to know more about the animals! Additionally, the tour guides forgot about the binoculars included and managed to get a pair to us while in the Serengeti park, about 7 hours away from Arusha the next day which was great.
The safari jeep is an extremely important part of the overall trip experience - our jeep, compared to other jeeps felt a lot older and while it was maintained well, simple things like airconditioning were not available which meant that we had to leave the windows open whilst driving through dusty terrain. I understand it’s difficult to be selective in high season however we would have liked to be provided a newer vehicle.
One downside of the service is communication. Being that we did not know anything about the migration path and how long it takes to get up to the northern Serengeti, we were lead to believe that we would see the great migration in its entirely. Granted we did shorten our trip due to personal reasons, there was miscommunication that we would still see it which did leave us disappointed. If we had known that shortening the trip would result in this, we may have kept the trip days the same. lastly, there were several times where we were left very confused about the daily plan, if we were to do this differently in the future we would communicate more to Joseph from SGT leading up to our trip to understand the daily expectations of the trip. Additionally some vendors were confused about payment, either settled from SGT or ourselves. In terms of reliability, SGT could initiate more of the communication from their end to ensure we were all prepared and meet our expectations.
Overall, my wife and I are satisfied with the service that SGT provided. For future tours, a higher level of transparency as well consistent communication would definitely elevate this tour experience from 4 stars to 5 stars. I would highly recommend Elia as an extremely experienced, competent driver who even in the most dangerous terrain was able to navigate smoothly. Joseph was very professional with the entire process, we recommend talking to Joseph a lot prior to your trip to ensure your understanding of the trip is as smooth as possible :)

Great trip, it was very special!
Hello,
My name is Idan. My wife and I came to Tanzania with another couple of friends for our honeymoon. To our delight, we had Tonny as our guide and driver for a week of safari.
I would like to share our wonderful experience with the amazing guide and driver – Tonny!
From the very moment he picked us up from the airport, we could tell what a great person he is. His sensitivity, professionalism, kindness, patience, and the pleasant atmosphere he created for us turned our honeymoon into the best experience we could have imagined. He was always ready to answer any question we had, and even waited for our questions so he could explain, elaborate, and share as much information as possible out of his own goodwill.
It was so hard for us to say goodbye to him that even during the rest of our trip in Zanzibar, we found ourselves talking every day about how much we missed him. He is exceptionally friendly and pleasant, making us feel safe and comfortable at every moment. Even when there were technical issues with the vehicle, he gave us complete confidence, assured us that everything was under control, and resolved every problem.
I truly hope that every tourist coming for a safari will have the chance to experience it with Tonny. I am certain that such a trip will be unforgettable. Thank you for giving us the privilege of having him as part of our experience and sweet memories. I wish all safari guides were like Tonny. Please take good care of him – he truly is the best and kindest guide there is. 🫶🏼❤

Fast and responsive service with great guide, Albert.
We got a very knowledgeable guide and driver, Albert. The accommodation and food was satisfactory too. At some of the hotels, we had to request for help from the reception when our key cards didn't work, number of beds was not enough, no internet, no TV connection. We felt safe with our guide's driving skills and teaching. WhatsApp communications with the tour agency was mostly quick too.

Daytour Johannesburg
Our tourgide Nomanday take us to a Journey round Johannesburg and Soweto.
She told us about history and culture background.
We are impresed about the knowledge and singing.
Thanks for a day we don,t shall forget.
