We had a completely amazing experience from start to finish.
We LOVED our experience with Wild Planet Safari. The tour guide was incredibly trustworthy, friendly, and so knowledgable! He searched passionately for all of the different (and spectacular) species in the park. Because of his knowledge of tracking and species behavior, we found and saw things that none of the other visitors we spoke to had seen. It was an epic adventure! They also provided good, wholesome food, and thoughtful attention to detail. It was awesome! In addition, the administrator was helpful with every aspect of planning. When we had a hiccup in our flight plans, she even helped us secure a refund for our hotel!

The pilot left us at the Selous Game Reserve
We booked the safari through our hotel Fruit and Spice Wellness Resort. We arrived on time at the departure airport in Zanzibar for the one day safari to Selous. The airplane was to make several stops to drop off and pick up passengers before we got to Selous, but our expected arrival time was 8:55am. We took off and got to the first stop. Upon arrival we saw that the transportation for the first group being dropped off was not there. We were in the middle of nowhere and there was no cell reception. The pilot tried to contact someone but didn't have any luck. We waited 90 minutes in the heat for the transportation to arrive. Once they picked up the passengers we got back on the plane to make the rest of the stops. Due to this significant delay, we did not arrive at Selous until 11:45. This full day tour was now a half day tour since we had to be back by 4:15pm.
Our guide was great and we got to see lots of animals. He did his best to make sure the trip was entertaining and that we weren't disappointed. In doing all of this, he did not get us back to the airstrip in enough time. We arrived just in time to see our airplane preparing for take off. The people at the reserve began to jump up and down to get the pilot's attention but he did not stop. At 4:45pm the pilot left and we were stranded at the game reserve.
After lots of calling around we were finally able to agree to have them take us to Dar Es Salaam. It is the closest city with an airport but it is also an 8 hour ride, with the first four hours spent on unpaved dark roads. We rode for four hours in a safari Jeep through primarily wooded areas. After four hours we arrived at a village and met up with another driver who took us to Dar Es Salaam, which was another 4 hours.
The tour company was very apologetic and arranged for this transportation. They also arranged for us to stay in a hotel across the street from the airport since we had an early flight back to Zanzibar. We needed to get back early because we were flying to Dubai and didn't want to miss our departure flight. Consequently, our Zanzibar hotel had to pack all of our things and check us in for our flight home.
The hotel in Dar Es Salaam was maybe 2 stars and served its purpose for the night. We were covered in dirt and bug bites from the first portion of our trip but the bathroom was not one you wanted to take a shower in and they only gave us one towel. We sat in the hotel room for 5 hours before it was time to leave for the airport. Luckily we made all of our flights, the hotel in Zanzibar did a wonderful job packing us up, and we showered and slept once we got to Dubai.
I was really looking forward to the safari. Being left there with no contingency plan by the tour company was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this tour company under any circumstances. We were fortunate to make it out but there were so many things that could have gone wrong. Our driver for the day was super nice and the villagers that provided us with food and water and blankets for our 8 hour ride were lovely.

Made our Southern African adventure a holiday of a lifetime
From the outset Clyde has been fantastic. He tried very hard to understand our brief and came up with suggestions that we would never have considered on our own. He was flexible and willing to make changes. The places we went, the places we stayed and the experiences were had far surpassed our expectations. Clyde told us that we should start our holiday in Johannesburg which I was wary of, but he was so right. The cycling tour of Soweto was a highlight and the tranquillity of the Peech Hotel was a great start to our trip.
I cannot recommend Mashatu enough. the lodge is great, the staff knowledgeable and attentive and the food!!! So much and so tasty. There is amazing game and you can really get up close. The perfect place for a first safari for our teenagers.
Unfortunately the weather in Cape Town wasn't great but teh Waterfront Village was a great place to base ourselves. We had a car delivered and had a beautiful drive to Grootbos just by Hermanus. Grootbos is phenomenal. Beautiful scenery, the atlantic ocean, amazing plantlife and a hotel to die for. The gourmet food and wine was outstanding. Just go!
We ended our trip at Victoria falls. We stayed at Zambezi sands tented camop. Right on the Zambezi with cocs and hippos watching us. the game is not as dense as in Zimbabwe but still good. The lodge is amazing. We had torrential rain when we arrived, but once the sun came out and everything dried off it was a stunning location and a superb place to stay. The evening meals around the big table were a highlight.
Everything that Tailormade Africa organised worked perfectly. We were picked up by courteous, knowledgeable drivers/guides on time and at the right places. We never felt stressed or worried. All the flights worked well.
I would definitely use them to book another trip. Cannot recommend highly enough

Could not have been better! Our tour guide Stephen was amazing.
Many weeks ago I was asked about this holiday. It took me 6 months to type it up and this is what I had to say:
An amazing adventure made special by a great tour guide going beyond and above!!!
We have booked a 8 day Safari with Quest Horizon after enquiring over a dozen of operators. The main selection criteria were Rating, price and quick response to questions with willingness to accomodate changes.
We have certainly not regretted the decision.
I would like to summarise the tour as following:
- Little did I know
- Listen to your guide
- The wildlife is amazing
In my opinion the most important factor that makes or breaks a safari is a qualified and knowledgeable tour guide.
Our guide (Stephen) let me repeat (Stephen) went well beyond and above what anyone would expect even if it meant longer hours for him. Every suggestion he made was spot on and well worth doing.
Always and I mean always go with your guides recommendation.
Some of the places are a hit and miss if it comes to seeing very rare species like the black rhino but always and I mean always go with the recommendation of your guide.
It was so worth going on this safari and I would ask definitely for Stephen again.

Wow! What a Safari and Zanzibar Holiday
Regional Tours is a cut above the rest. Our 9 day Tanzania Safari started in Dar-es salaam where the Regional Tours guide Hassan picked us from our hotel and took us to Selous Game Reserve. Initially I was a little bit sceptical that we would not be able to spot game owing to the vastness of the park, however I was totally wrong. Hassan is special quite special and has a natural knack of spotting animals in the most unexpected places like a leopard that was up a tree. His knowledge of the birds, and wild game was dazzling. He could give us so many details on the habits of each of the animals that we saw. If you happen to visit Selous, then do not miss the boat ride. We explored so many areas that one cannot reach with the game vehicles and it is just beautiful. We then had a long drive to Ruaha N.P. via Mikumi N.P. We did not get to see much at Mikumi as we kept to the main road however the scenery is also very beautiful. Raha was very different from Selous, It very dry and dusty but also with many baobab trees. I must give it to Hassan that we got to see huge herds of buffalo, 2 different prides of lion that for some strange reason seemed not to have males.
It was sad to say goodbye to Hassan at the airstrip for our flight to Zanzibar. This island has some of the best beaches I have been to and cannot forget the cultural walks in stone town and prison Island, I wish I had set aside

11 Day Kenyan Safari
As a first time safari goer, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. After many many searches, I came across Dallago Tours. I went through the reviews and thought I'd give them a chance, and I'm glad I did. The safari was really enjoyable. I would recommend them for any safari to kenya.

JUST GREAT
Easy, efficient and good value for money. After an online search and reading Loneley planet, I decided to e-mail this company. It was a good choice. Only after a few minutes already an answer. Everything is possible, so make sure you think about what you want. You can easily modify one of their safaris to your wishes. They might not be the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive. And as I arranged everything with a few e-mails I saved a a lot of time. The Safari itself was better then I could wish for. Our guide and driver was well trained and new a lot about the wildlife. The Safari was awesome. I look forward to booking with them again.

remarkable service
We first were in touch with Nasr, who organized our 4-day-Safari in Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro. The organization was very uncomplicated and great. In the following, our tour guide Frank was our tour guide for the Safari. We appreciated his work very much! He took care of everything, we felt very comfortable - during the safari, the and at night at the campsite. The most important was, however, that our tour guide Frank genuinely respected nature and the animals. He always explained us a lot about the beautiful creatures and reminded us to treat them with respect. While other tour guides and safari cars approached the animals too closely, so that tourist could take pictures, our tour guide kept distance and let us enjoy the beautiful view .
I will never forget this with Moorland Safaris.

Friendly, reliable, well organised company that delivered on all it’s promises.
Minneh was very responsive and informative in her communication, which made it very easy to book our four day trip. Daniel collected us from our accommodation on time and was very friendly, courteous and professional. Alex was our tour guide who took us to the Masai Mara - he was very informative, friendly, knowledgeable about the animals and worked really hard to ensure we had a fantastic safari experience. We stayed at Lenchada tented camp, which is very basic but comfortable. Food was good and the area was clean with friendly and helpful staff. The safari exceeded our expectations, we enjoyed two and a half days in the reserve which we recommend.
