Clyde Beaty, the PA's Safari Best Friend
I did not go on Safari, but had to book it for my boss. I am a PA and I literally had to plan, what is a once in a life time trip for most, in 3 weeks, Without Clyde, I would not have managed it. Clyde literally held my hand, from the moment I picked up the phone. Flights were booked, itineraries set then changed (my doing) several times, mass migration established, and half term avoided, and this was down to Clyde, who throughout the booking, remained calm and literally available at any time! Tailormade Africa is literally tailor made, nothing is travel agency formula and Clyde goes into every detail / scenario possible and asks lots of questions, so the itinerary is very specialised. The best part for any PA, Clyde is on call from the moment your boss depart's, by setting up a what's ap group and literally takes over the reigns, so you don't have to worry. Clyde helped me with visas, navigating time zones and if the PCR test certificate would actually work, to actually setting up PCR tests in the most random of places, plus much more. He also had some-one on the ground every step of the way, who reported into Clyde - Clyde did not switch off, once, not quite sure how he did it and sent me regular updates. I will be forever grateful to Clyde and all he did and urge any busy PA out there to use Tailor Made, they are quite simple the PAs Safari BFF! Clyde put together the most amazing itinerary, and yes, my boss had the most marvellous and wonderful time and I had a very peaceful 10 days!

Excellent Service
We just came back from our Safari Trip to Tarangire Nationalpark, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti and Lake Manyara. We booked a luxury Trip and our experienced Guide Musa did everything to make it most comfortable and exiting for us. We enjoyed the whole trip, but if you compare the parks Ngorongoro and Serengeti are the best! It would actually be enough to visit these two parks, since all "important" animals can be observed here more than once. Our trip was well organized and we had to think of nothing, everything (food, drinks) was included. Our hotels were high standard, even the „tented lodge“ in Serengeti was luxurious. We had great food, even at the picnic in the parks we got a nice and warm meal. At the end of our trip our flight was suddenly canceled (from Air Tanzania) and reacommodated to another airport afterwards. Although the other airport was 1,5 Hours away, Our Guide Musa brought us there without further ado.

Absolutely Amazing.
Our Safari was an absolut blast. As soon as we landed everything was organized perfectly from pick up at the airport till drop off after the safari. Our tour organizer Godlisten replyed instantly to all our questions and did an amazing job.
We did 2 nights in serengeti, one at the crater rim and on our last day we visited tarangire NP. We would recommend everyone to do at least 2 nights in serengeti to really enjoy the beauty of that place. It cannot be described in words, you have to go and see for yourself. When you go ask for Eliah as a guide, he was the best guide we could have wished for. You could really feel the passion about his job. We were always the first to head out for game drives and the last ones to come back as he was so keen to show us everything from the big five to the smallest birds. Also ask for Sule as your chef, same goes for him. He loved to cook for us and shared all his amazing recepies with us. His pancakes in the morning are out of this world.
Overall there was not a single thing to complain about. We will definetly come back.
Thanks to all who made this experience so unique for us.

We saw the big 5!
We went on a 4 day safari trip. We went to the Serengeti, Ngorogoro crater & lake Manyara. Our guide Freddy has 22+ years of safari-tour experience. He knows só much about the surrounding nature and animals. He made sure we saw the big five! Amazing! We also had an amazing chef, John. He made sure we had fresh, healthy and for me vegetarian food.
The campings where very basic, but in my opinion made the experience even beter.

Smooth and exciting journey!
This was an unbelievable trip! Logistics were smooth from start to finish and responses were remarkably fast. Andre and Marinda were accommodating, friendly, and I couldn't have asked for a better trip. Kruger in 2 days from Jburg is a whirlwind, but I highly recommend!

personable
I cannot say enough good things about my safari experience. From the planning to the execution of the trip, I felt completely free to voice my opinion and to make sure that everything met my expectations. Gofan was referred to us by a friend (we were initially not planning on going on safari during our trip to Kenya), and the referral was spot on! I reached out approximately 2.5 months before our trip to begin setting things up. Allison was patient with me and answered every question I had. She gave a number of different options in a variety of price ranges and trip lengths to show the different types of experiences we could have. We had some issues when it came time to remit payment (due to the online payment system not accepting our US credit card) and she and her team worked with us to try to get it sorted. When we were unable to fix the issue, she arranged to have a team member meet us when we arrived in Nairobi to accept the payment in person.
We had a slight miscommunication on the time of the morning pickup the first day of the safari, but she and her other team members quickly sorted things and provided us with a new pickup time to take place an hour later. (It was barely an inconvenience because they pick you up from your home/hotel/airbnb.) When we met our guide, Francis, I immediately felt safe and taken care of. He was extremely communicative through our drives to the various locations and made sure to share history about each area we drove through and answer my very constant questions about anything and everything. At each stop (restroom break or arrival at a hotel), he let us know when we should meet and asked if we had any questions.
During our 4-day, 3-night safari we hiked/biked Hells Gate, drove through Masai Mara, and visited a Masai village. Our 3 nights were split between Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort and Mara Treetops Luxury Camp. Both of the locations were extremely unique and provided opportunities to see wildlife up close. The food and service at both locations was amazing, but the service at Mara Treetops was the best I've ever experienced.
While on safari, Francis asked us what animals we definitely wanted to see, and made sure that we saw every animal we could. The only animal of the Big 5 that we were unable to see was the rhinoceros, but it wasn't high on my list of animals I wanted to see in the wild. He also humored my interest in all the different birds in the Mara and stopped a number of times to allow me to gawk at secretary birds, ostriches, helmeted guineafowls, and marabou storks.
I would definitely book with Gofan Safari again. It is the most memorable trip I've ever taken (and I travel quite frequently), and the value for the cost is unmatched. I've already recommended Gofan to countless friends and family members due to the great experience we had.
