Abundant, photogenic, and unique wildlife. Good hotels and food. Friendly people.
Tons of wildlife, from lemurs to endemic birds to lots of reptiles and butterflies. Most of the wildlife is tame and photogenic. The local guides are very skilled at finding whatever you want to see, especially lemurs. Hotels and food are surprisingly good. Some of the roads are decent, while others are poor, and drive times can be long. The Malagasy people are friendly and hospitable. Overall, a magical destination that is completely unlike any other place on Earth. I can thoroughly recommend the services of 8th Continent Expeditions, a Malagasy-owned tour company that made the bookings for my trip.

Impressie wildlife in great nature!
We made two tours, ons in the northern part with Tarangire NP, lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro CA. Travelling by jeep means long distances and many hours on the road, but we loved to watch daily live, throughout roads sometimes were bad with lots of dust and of course the magnificent nature and wildlife in the parks. Facilities in the public camps are quite poor. Afterwards we drove to Selous NP, Mikumi and Udzungwa Mountains and particularly enjoyed the vast, beautiful and quiet parks with lots of wildlife and only few visitors.

WOW! Just wow!
This was a true, once in a lifetime experience for me. I don' think I could have possibly imagined a better way of experiencing Serengeti and Africa without Afrishare and our awesome guide Freddy.
We did Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Eyasi. Both Ibrahim and Feddy took care of us exceptionally well. Ibrahim gave us a very warm welcome at the Airport with Freddy and explained what to expect for the next several days. Before we even reach Africa he has done an exceptional job in making sure that we were comfortable and super accommodative of our varying dietary and lodging requests.
Freddy - our guide - made the trip even special by taking good care of us throughout the safari with briefings every morning, being a great spotter and super flexible to cater to our every whim. We had an amazing time spotting the big 5 and other wildlife and the landscape was just magical. He took great care in ensuring that our dietary needs are met, the vehicle is safe and clean before every day. He also introduced us to some awesome Tanzanian music which I will be listening to for rest of my life.
All in all, I couldn’t have thought of a better way of doing this trip, major shout out to Afrishare and Freddy!

You Are In Expert Hands!
We recently finished the 11 Day Kruger North to South Private trip and had a great time. Ryan and Lungisani are absolutely expert guides and a real pleasure to spend time with. We enjoyed watching them compete with each other to see who could spot the most Big Five animals, and we were the beneficiaries! We were able to observe up close all of the animals we wished, with the only exception being a cheetah, which are very rare. Ryan is a birding expert and spotted an incredible number of birds for us to photograph. I cannot emphasize the value of their knowledge of animals, plants and birds. Later, during our African vacation we heard ridiculous statements from so-called guides who were spouting falsehoods. We confirmed Ryan's information via Google. You will have a great time with these fine guides!

Great experience!!!
Isaac arranged an amazing safari for our family. He was also very helpful with the transport we needed to get around in Kenya before and after our safari, and made sure that our drivers picked us up as planned. Our driver, Mike, made our safari really good and memorable. He knew a lot about every place we visited, even the places we drive by on our way between the different nationalparks. Mike tried to find the places where he knew there would be a lot to see, and we were lucky to see all of the big five.
We would recommend best memory safaris to everyone. Thank you very much, Isaac and Mike, for this great experience!

Amazing Safari and a fantastic experience
We had once in a life experience thanks to Afrishare and Freddie.
We emailed a lot of safari companies along with Afrishare. Ibrahim was very responsive and he gave us a quote which was substantially lower than the others. We decided to visit Tarangire, Serengeti, hot air balloon in Serengeti, Ngorongoro and cultural visits. Ibrahim was very responsive and accommodated changes in schedule we asked for prior to booking. Based on previous reviews, we asked for Freddie to be our tour guide.
Upon arriving at the airport, Ibrahim and Freddie were there to welcome us and took us to our car. The safari vehicle was exactly as described and was nice and clean.
Freddie is an amazing tour guide. He is organized, funny, patient and last but not the least, an amazing animal spotter. Every evening he would give us a brief overview of next day’s schedule and activities. Because of him, we were able to see all of the big 5 animals.
The balloon safari in Serengeti was the highlight of the trip for me and would highly recommend to anyone who has the chance to do so.
I will highly recommend Afrishare and Freddie to my friends and anyone planning a safari in the future.

As an Asian, This is such a truly lifetime experience.
I went to Kenya for a very first time with a friend from Thailand. Safari Contractor : Lennox , Driver : Issac
We took a full 6-day program from Maasai Mara, Naivasha, Nakuru along the way westward to Amboseli National Park. Our driver is a big guy Issac with huge heart, his sight of animal is somehow second to none. even we couldn't see any Leopard as an one missing Big 5 but we fortunately witnessed Lion family eating Zebra (with group of Zebra staring behind). This was beyond my expectation in a first safari trip of mine.
Being a sport photographer at home, I do enjoy spending time capture wildlife shots in these National Park. Chance of seeing zenith of Kilimanjaro in October is very little, only 5 mins of whole noon we can see it. Our driver was patient enough to stop and wait us taking thousand shots of birds, antelopes, big 4 (except Leopand) and landscape scene so far. Don't forget to get your gears well here in Kenyan Safari. You won't be regret to keep them being with you, especially a long telephoto lens with fast camera. Many shots you only have just one chance so don't miss it.
One of accommodation : Kimana campsite next to the Amboseli NP is what they should improve.
Rooms: pretty dilapidated. Cabins are worn down, mosquito nets that are ripped and don't fit, very poor electrical work, no hot water (if any water) in many tents. Toilets needed maintenance (flushes weren't really working). Shower have leaking water though bedroom.
The plus points are you can see the whole Kilimanjaro with naked eyes, and the offered not that bad food ,basic (if you are a flexible person with well-traveled)
Overall we were pretty satisfied and fulfilled, pretty recommend to those seeking a budget safari trip.

Amazing and Beautiful Uganda
The first leg of our vacation was in Uganda and we chose Gorilla Link Tours to help us with our planning and organizing. Caroline was excellent in her communication skills and promptness in returning messages. We checked with several companies and found her to be the most responsive and informative. We flew in to Kigali, Rwanda and were picked up by our guide - Robert! Unfortunately we arrived but our luggage did not. We were leaving the next day to drive to Mutanda Lake Resort in Uganda (a definite thumbs up for this place!) It took a few days to find our luggage and Robert was the one that orchestrated that for us. He later went and drove back to the border to retrieve our luggage for us. We were so grateful. We did the Gorilla trekking and the Batwa village visit. Both of these were so awesome and unbelievable experiences. Robert made them go so smoothly and at all times we felt safe and looked after. This leg of our journey was a definite immersion into African culture and we loved it. Uganda is so beautiful. We just couldn't get over all the views we got to take in. I loved this country. Robert was a wealth of knowledge about many things and in particular the vast bird species there. So interesting! He had a definite knack of spotting birds from far away. The roads were incredibly rough and rugged and on the edge of mountain sides but we felt very safe with Robert driving. I would highly recommend Gorilla Link Tours to anyone and have already shared this info. Loved it! Thank you Robert and Caroline.
