About: Tanzania
Except for the government run accommodations, a successful and recommendable trip
Overall rating
5/5

The booking with Mansoor Mohamed was smooth and absolutely professional. Thank you very much!!!
We were assigned a driver with the name "Zakaria"
He was an absolute stroke of luck. He is integer, educated and a good helpful driver.

Mikumi NP: There was no soap, towel or toilet paper in the bungalow. The mosquito net only covered half of the bed. Therefore it was absolutely unusable. The outside doors had a 2 cm. gap at the bottom. As soon as light was turned on, a number of insects and bugs came into the room, attracted by the light.

Ruha National Park: In the bungalow there was toilet paper, but no linen in the bed, no soap and the window was only up to the half with an insect screen.

For the price I paid, I did not expect anything great, but such minimalism surprised me. Because that is not a question of cost, but of basic service.
The food in both cases was, to put it kindly, functional.
As an intermediary, I strongly recommend contacting both Park Headquarters to remedy the situation.
I am convinced that these shortcomings are only disinterest and laziness.
Please advise clients before booking that this are government run accommodations. These are often worse- worldwide.

Mloka Safari Lodge: You immediately notice the difference between accommodations provided by the government and privately run.
Here everything was just right. Nice clean bungalow, with towel, soap and toilet paper. The room was hosed down before going to sleep. Good service, good food. Highly recommended. The boat tour could have been spared, especially since we started half an hour later, as a guide had to be found first.
Summary:
Booking: Very good
Driver: Excellent
Accommodation in the NP: Unsatisfactory
Safari: Very Good
Overall rating: Good

Dedicated to a great experiance
5/5

Dream Bandas was a great option for me to visit Bwindi Impenetrable Forest from Kigali in just a day. My driver was on time, had great knowledge of Rwanda, Uganda, and the National park, and even bought me Ugandan snacks to taste. Everything at the borders and park gates went smoothly and the guide in the park itself was friendly and knowledgeable

I cannot imagine how it is possible to be a better Tanzanian tour operator than Nyasi Adventure.
5/5

Nyasi Adventure: trip of a lifetime! But so good, we went twice. :)

In 2013, our family of four including two early-teenage daughters travelled in southern and eastern Tanzania with Davis. We had such an amazing time that we could not wait to go back (this time to the north, and west), but with one thing and another, we had to be patient and wait until 2023. We had some pretty high expectations based on the first experience, but even then, they were more than exceeded!

Taking the two trips together, we have travelled for nearly 6 weeks with Davis and Nyasi Adventure: in all that time, there was not a single glitch, delay, breakdown or interruption. We always have 100% confidence that things will work as intended, and be safe and fun.

On safari (Swahili for travel - don't picture 1800s guys going hunting!) with Davis, there is never a dull moment. Elephants over there, a leopard in that tree, hey, there's a Little bee-eater, a Martial eagle circling, and those dots are a group of eland - let's go and check them out! All interspersed with great food and lively conversation on a million topics.

Davis and Nyasi Adventure work tirelessly for the clients to make the trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Everything is efficient, comfortable, and can be tailored to individual needs. While the website suggests some tours, these can be adjusted, combined, and otherwise optimized. Flexibility, charm, personality.

Our 2023 trip was extraordinary. After the very long flight from Australia, we started with two days around Moshi, including a fun trip to Materuni coffee village. Then, off to Tarangire for a gorgeous savannah experience with wonderful cross-section of the big animals and a good representation of the smaller things. A vist to Lake Manyara revealed a spectacular wet environment with waterbirds, lions, olive baboons in great numbers, multiple species of hornbills and more. Ngorongoro is world heritage for good reason - the spectacular crater was scenic enough on its own but the plains were alive with animals, including rhinos. Then four days in the Serengeti, possibly the highlight of a trip full of highlights. The main purpose of going there was to see migrations - wildebeest, zebras, buffalo and other species in large numbers were there as anticipated. But as always, so much else going on for those who like wildlife large and small. One of Davis's many super-powers is finding big cats, so we were treated to leopards (whose mating is not completely romantic) and more than one female cheetah with her cubs. And pretty much everything at close quarters.

The next phase was unusual to combine with northern Tanzania - we really wanted to see chimpanzees and Lake Tanganyika. So off to Gombe National Park in the west. The chimps were very much in evidence, and on a day when we had spent a couple of hours of easy trekking to find and watch them, a group also came through our tented camp, providing even more relaxed views. The Lake is very special - large enough to be tidal but then it's weird for it to be fresh. After an extraordinary trip to the wild and remote Katavi National Park with deep waterholes and a profusion of wildlife, we rounded out with some R&R at Lake Shore - wonderful and welcoming accommodation like all the places on our trip. But it was not all sipping cocktails by the water - we made a snorkelling pilgrimage to see the famous Lake Tanganyika cichlid fish.

I'd be hard pressed to say whether I preferred the southern/eastern parks, or northern/western. All amazing! Just more reasons to keep going back to Tanzania. I genuinely cannot imagine how a company could do a better job of Tanzanian safari than Nyasi Adventure does. Along with a decent camera, it's the best use of money I have ever made.

Perfect Amboseli private 3 day tour
5/5

We did the Amboseli 3 day private tour and everything exceeded our expectations. Everything was well organized and smooth. Our guide and driver Khalifa was super friendly and did know how to find the animal especially lions very well. He was very knowledgeable and would explain a lot along the way and also find good photo locations . We did stay at Kibo lodge which was very nice with Mountain View’s and good food. Staff was also very friendly there.
Would highly recommend Jocky tours for anyone doing a Safari in Kenya

Exceptional experience, expectations exceeded
5/5

After searching for different safari companies, Serengeti Smile was the one we picked due to best offer and excellent reviewed online. And we could not have choose better. From the very beggining communication and booking have been quick and easy, we booked this experience 1 year in advance with no problems. They are always on WhatsApp ready to reply to any questions. Then from arrival to the airport to the end of the safari everything was perfect. Our guide Gama, a.k.a. Minister of Serengeti (and he really is, he knows wildlife better than anyone) was amazing from the very start. Always giving us useful explanations and always making sure the safari journey was going as we would like to. We were able to see every single animal, including the big 5. Cheetah was difficult to spot and was the only animal left to see after few days of safari, but thanks to the knowledge and experience of our guide we were able to spot not 1 but 4 cheetahs after his search! We were also able to see The migration of wildebeest crossing the river which was one of the most amazing things we have ever witnessed. Accommodation was always nice, and being able to sleep in tents in the middle of the savannah listening to animals at night was something out of this world. No negative points to comment on, Serengeti Smile allowed us to have the best experience of our lifes! AMAZING!

Great again with Julius
5/5

Since 2007, we have already been connected to Julius by JTsafaris. In recent years, we had contact with Kenya but we could not go to Kenya. Last weeks we enjoyed the more of Kenya and the safari organized by Julius. We went for an 8-day safari. Kennedy the driver picked us up at Nairobi airport. We went to the Masai Mara for 3 nights. Followed by a night in Nakuru. Then 2 nights under the smoke of the Kilimanjaro camp in Amboseli. We were there in 2008, but what a great surprise was that, what a great camp has become. Finally, one night to Tsavo. Of course we spotted the big 5 again. Great how Julius has done everything for us again. Our confidence is once again preservation. Eventually we were dropped off for 10 delicious relax days at Baobab resort in Ukunda. What have enjoyed everything and are going to be very satisfied at home again? See you next occasion Rafiki Julius ❤️

Incredible operator providing incredible experience
5/5

This could be a long one as I sing the praises of BRIGHTE MAASAI ADVENTURES, but they are THAT good.

I'm going to preface this by saying this is my 3rd safari (1st in Kenya) so expectations were high. BRIGHTE MAASAI ADVENTURES absolutely blew me away.

From the first emails responding to my laundry list of questions (the team were replying at crazy hours in their timezone) all the way to Whats Ap messages days after our safari ended, these guys know what good communication is.

Upon arrival in Nairobi Dickson, James and Dennis ( all true Maasai warriors) met us to show us the car we'd call home for the next six days and go over everything (great for my travel partner as I had taken care of all the booking and planning with the guys). Then, with James and Dennis at the wheel, we took off the very next day.

I don't think enough can be said about James' depth of knowledge and skill. Hands down the best guide I've ever come across. Not only did he know the best spots for finding the animals, an avid photographer himself, James knew the best angles so I could take the most incredible shots of my life.

The thing that set this team apart, however, was their friendly warmth. The ever smiling Dennis and truly lovable James taught us so much about Kenya, the Maasai, the reserves and animals but in such away that we all felt like one happy quartet of friends. Each morning we were greeted with excitement from James and Dennis along with huge smiles and open arms.

All the while, Dickson would be in contact via what's ap, making sure our dream vacation was living up to expectations. 100% it was.

We loved the ease of travelling to and exploring 3 different parks/ reserves ( Amboseli, Nakuru and Maasai Mara- James' legit backyard) as well as the great accomodation ( ask to include Bella Camp:inside the Maasai Mara reserve as part of your accomodation wishes, but only if you enjoy falling to sleep to the sounds of lions roaring or eating breakfast beside sunbathing hippos).

Absolutely every detail was taken care of by BRIGHTE MAASAI ADVENTURES and every one of my requests - a trip to a Maasai Village, a boat ride on Lake Naivasha , a great pic of a giraffe drinking water were fulfilled...and then some.

Do yourself a favor and book your very reasonably priced safari with BRIGHTE MAASAI ADVENTURES, an outstanding operator that deserves 6 stars!

We miss you James, Dennis and Dickson.

Caring, pleasant, and kind.
5/5

It was just so wonderful. I saw lots of animals including rhinos. And Noel is really a nice guy. I’ve been in touch with him before the tour, and he answers everything. And when I arrived, he helped me get what I needed. And everything noel prepared is so nice! Good driver, good chef, and SOOOOO GOOD accomodations. One thing that was unfortunate was that some of the groups we traveled with stopped for so long that they wanted to take pictures. This isn't anyone's fault, it's my luck. Except that, everything is really fine. Just trust him. I am very grateful to Noel. I hope to come back someday!

Noel is a very humorous person, and we get in touch quickly. If you need anything or have a problem, they solve it! Thanks to him, he traveled with peace of mind.
