The safari I always dreamed of!
5/5

Before we arrived Mack ensured every detail was taken care of. Due to COVID there were many changes of plan along the way but Mack ensured everything was taken care of and planned out a fantastic Ininerary. 6 day Safari that took in Ngorongoro, the Serengeti and Tarangire NP.

My wife and I were greeted at the airport by Eddy who was unbelievable all trip. Eddy took us to Ngorongoro were we met our cook Danny more about him later. Throughout the trip Eddy informed us of everything that was going on the next day at Dinner. He checked all timings and plans with us everyday. From Ngorongoro to the Serenghrti to Tarangire all the way back to the airport Eddy had our back. The guy has some sort of super power for finding Big Cats. In fact on our first night when we had just arrived in the Serengeti he said he wouldn't sleep til he showed us a lion. We left Danny to sort the tent and an hour later we returned after seeking a family of Lions chilling after a big meal. Eddy was truly amazing all trip he took the roads like a pro was always in control and made sure we saw all the big 5.

Every morning afternoon and night Danny cooked up a storm for us. His cooking was amazing and he was more than happy to share his recipes with me. He even had the banter to match.

Without Eddy and Danny the trip not have been the same. They made sure we had everything we needed and made every moment special. I will never forget being that close to a cheetah or a pride of Lions and it's all down to Eddy.

If you book with kiliholidays make sure you ask for Eddy and Danny. They will make sure that trip you've been dreaming of is better than you could have ever imagined. I'll always be grateful for just how amazing kiliholidays was all trip.

Thoughtful and detailed operator to provide the most amazing safari trip for our family
5/5

This is not a normal year. We are still in the heat of the battle with Covid-19, and yet our family had chosen to travel the world during this time. When we decided to put Kenya and safaris on our itinerary, we had no clue where to begin. We hadn’t even gone to any place in Africa before and our family had a teenager and a toddler!

Not only did Wayfairer responded to our general initial enquiry quickly, their sales representative asked thoughtful questions to work out the most ideal itinerary that met our budget and other requirements.

We went to three different safari locations during the trip and each step was seamless. Food and water were delicious and clean. Our family did not encounter any unpleasant surprises. That included planning our PCR tests and other entry and exit requirements carefully since traveling nowadays involve so much more processes.

Thank you Wayfairer and we will definitely work with them again.

8 days lakenatron-tarangire-manyara-ngorongoro-serengeti
5/5

The safari with this company was very nice. Our guide and driver tom is very professional and has a big knowledge about the topic. We would defenetly do the trip with him again.

We found the way starting with the quiet area lake natron and the hard climbing (more the way down, not the way up) afterwards to the smaller parks and up to the top parks of the world the crater and serengeti perfect.

The locations were nice and for us its very important to stay for 2 nights at the same place. With 1 night we would be in a hurry. Espacally because there are long distances which you couldnt know when its your first time around serengeti.

Thanks you for the organisation and head on like this!

day trip in Naitobi National park
5/5

I have been recommended this trip by my colleague.
We had a private day trip in Nairobi National Park in July 2021. We have been picked up from our accommodation very early in the morning with a 4x4 jeep that is in excellent conditions and extremely comfortable for the whole day.
Erico is extremely knowledgable and has a very interesting cultural mix that makes every conversation with him rich of insights and always instructive.
attention to details and clear objectives of delivering the best safari experience to their guest.
now that i know that Nairobi is not the only operation area for him, i will definitely be in touch with Pallid Safaris to visit other parks of Kenya.
Thank you guys

Review about Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park by Alan

Remote not as busy as Kruger.
Large vistas in semi desert makes game views easier.
Large herds of springbok and the ever present silhouetted Oryx catching the breeze on the summit of sand dunes.

Kgalakadi is where less is more. The South African camp sites are crowded and noisy but have 24/7 access to hides at Mata Mata and Nossob.

Getting a booking on the Botswana side is winning the mini lotto so you have to plan one year in advance. The camp sites are about 170m apart with six at Rooiputs and 3 at Polentswa. If you have Monopoly money (USD or Euros) then stay at the Luxury lodges on offer.

Game feast in a beautiful mountain ringed crator with expansive views extending kilometres.

I have travelled Kruger and Pilanesberg extensively. The rhino have disappeared from Kruger. Although the vistas have limits in Pilanesberg you can access 5 hides with many more opportunities of alighting from your vehicle. All hides have toilets. While people share their sightings with other game viewers this is seldom the case in Kruger. Hides are few and far between in Kruger without toilet facilities except lake panic.
I have often seen 4/5 big five…. Buffalo are elusive in Pilanesberg…within a weekend. Big herds are not on show though as they are in Kruger.
A great advantage of Pilanesberg is proximity to Jhb 2.5 hrs drive and it is MALARIA FREE and for the animals TB free too.
The Iron Age site in Pilanesberg allows you to roam around a large section of bush which is fenced. The view points from Moloto drive are exquisite…
Pilanesberg’s only drawback is noise from the populated areas near the rest champs at night and after 3 days you will find that you travel the same routes again, not so with Kruger.

Review about South Africa by Alan

South African parks are affordable compared to Botswana and Zimbabwe.
The big five look the same any where in Southern Africa so decide why added expense and four extra days of travel with petrol costs make it worth while.

If you are in Gauteng a visit to the Pilanesberg especially during the week will make you feel as though you own the park. It is really a weekend park with often not more than 30 cars in the park during the week.

The Botswana side of the Kgalakadi probably trumps Chobe and Savute for its remoteness from other people minus the very big game. There with the proximity to the South African side there are always supplies of essentials should you need them as well as vehicle support and repair.

Excellent service
5/5

We were a couple who joined 4 other travellers for the trip.

This was an amazing trip from start to end. We were picked up on time from the airport and proceeded to Masai Mara. Our driver/guide was very informative and gave us lots of information along the way, pointing out important landmarks and telling stories. When we reached Masai Mara we stayed in Lenchada Camp for two nights. I really enjoyed this. It was classed as budged camping so I wasn't expecting much but it surpassed my expectations. The tent had a full bed and working toilet and shower facilities. The buffet meals were good too. We did an evening safaru drive and a full day safari drive in Masai Mara. Again, Khalifa was excellent. He gave us lots of information about the reserve and the animals. He really worked hard to get us in the best positions to see the animals up close. We also visited a Masai village which was a great experience. Our group then proceeded to Nakure where we stayed in a really nice hotel. We visited the national park and again Khalifa was on hand with excellent information and wonderful photo opportunities. Here we saw rhino, lions, giraffes and flamingos. We then visited Naivisha where we stayed in Dove Nest Lodge. We did a boat trip where we saw lots of hippo. We did a cycle in Hells Gate national part. It was fine but very dusty.

On the final day our group split and it was just the two of us and our driver Khalifa. As we are both teachers we were keen to visit a school as we had brought lots of gifts for children. Khalifa organised for us to visit a local school which was a great experience. We then headed back to Nairobi where our itineary said the trip ended with an airport dropoff at 3PM. We had a late night flight and Khalifa stayed with us until 9PM when he dropped us to the airport. This was very unexpexted and was a real treat as we got to be shown around the city by a Nairobi resident. We visited the Giraffe Centre, local craft shops, got to see the contrasting parts of the city and Khalifa even organised for me to get some high quality coffee to bring home.

An unbeliveable trip made better by an excellent company and guide
