The whole team was amazing from the first day. The communication was good, I enjoyed the safari and their transport was very convenient with the best drivers. Had a great time with friends

"5 stars for Nyemo"
5/5

We experienced a beautiful safari trip through the Serengeti, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five and much more. Our guide Nyemo has given everything to make our safari unforgettable.

flexible, honest, exceeded expectations!
5/5

Misuku Expeditions were fantastic. They responded quickly to all communications and were very kind and flexible with any special requests we had. They drove us to South Luangwa National Park in a comfortable, air-conditioned van. The border crossing was seamless. They booked us a wonderful place to stay which far exceeded our expectations . They checked in with us periodically to make sure everything was going well. They let us decide on leaving times, etc. They were the least expensive operator we could find, and yet the experience was even better than our last safari experience, (when we used a different, more expensive operator). Definitely recommend going with these guys!

Just what I wanted - a three night safari for wildlife photography
5/5

Gorillas and Beyond were recommended to me when I was looking into the possibility of undertaking a short taylor-made safari after attending a conference in the Rwenzori area. At first I was thinking only of the primates in Kibale Forest National Park, but Wyclef at Gorillas and Beyond suggested adding a day at Queen Elizabeth National Park. His three night programme met my aims as a wildlife photographer perfectly and the accommodation he arranged was excellent. He also arranged perfectly-timed transport for me back to Entebbe to have lunch at the airport before my flight home.
The seven hour chimpanzee trek in Kibale was a great experience - more strenuous than I expected, but as a keen hill walker in Britain that wasn't a problem for me - but the highlight as far as my photography was concerned was the boat trip in Queen Elizabeth National Park. My images can be seen in the gallery 'Africa/Uganda' of my website, www.ianimages.co.uk.

Compass Odyssey = African Adventure
5/5

Compass Odyssey exceeded our expectations - detailed information prior to our trip; what to wear; what to bring; what to expect; step by step itinerary etc. Yet - for us....the frantic, working couple - there was little time to read and thankfully Crusty had a "Cheat Sheet" of essential information so we were still well informed and had the best of both worlds.

From Crusty reorganising cancelled flights without us being bothered (fault of the airline, not Compass Odyssey), to lovely Mortimer and Ruth picking us up from the airport, organising all our border crossings, activities and drop-offs - we really couldn't ask for more. Fabulous lodges, hotels and Gin and Tonic sunset Safari cruises with knowledgeable guides to see the amazing wildlife and animals. Fabulous food, every meal.

We wholeheartedly recommend Compass Odyssey to families, couples and singles. Crusty's attention to detail, his emails to check on how we were going during the trip and post-trip ensured a first-class experience.

Finaly we have a Halal safari!
5/5

We had an amazing experience on the 6 days luxury safari with Wild Secrets Safaris that took us Tarangire N.P, Serengeti N.P. and Ngorongoro Crater. We chose to go with Wild Secrets Safaris as we are strict Muslim family and they are famous for Halal safari packages at very reasonable rates coupled with superb service.
We observed that this company thrives on excellence. Nothing is left to chance, Rashid took care of every aspect, all our hotels were booked and paid for, park fees, and transfers were all punctual that did not miss any activity or rushed. We appreciate Rashid patience as we took a lot of time planning our itinerary with many changes on our arrival date. Payment was also secure via EFT to his account.
Our connecting flight from Dubai arrived at night and we found a rep from the company in uniform waving a placard with our names at the arrivals. He took us to Mt. Meru hotel which is quite nice with great views of Mt Meru – only that we did not see much as we left the following morning for the parks.
It was raining at times but our guide Ibra is a fantastic driver, patient and his enthusiasm and charisma rubbed off on us. The drive from town to the parks is quite scenic and we even met groups of young Maasai men along the road. He answered all questions with detailed explanations. We even stopped for our daily prayers with water to cleanse and mats!!
We had a strong 4x4 vehicle just to ourselves. It was spacious and comfortable with retractable roof which he opened for great views. Tarangire and Serengeti are great with abundant wildlife, however I am still awestruck by Ngorongoro Crater. There are a lot of different animals including birdlife enclosed by the crater walls. With every turn you find a different animal. We even saw 2 black rhinos!!!
Our hotels on tour were fantastic. They had excellent staff served Halal food and our rooms were fitted with bidgets.
I am very grateful for Rashid for planning our safari well that made my wife and I very happy that we did not compromise our faith at any one time. I recommend them to all Muslims who are planning to go on safari in Tanzania
