Professional and well organized
5/5

I have booked 5-days Camp Safari and 8-days Kilimanjaro Trekking with Moraka Africa Safaris.

The safari was absolutely perfect, I saw everything I could have hoped to see and more, definitely eclipsed my expectations.

Kilimanjaro Trekking, is one of the best choices I have made. It was such an unforgettable experience! The view was incredible and the crew were so nice. I wouldn’t make it to the summit without the support offered by them.

I am very glad that I choosed Moraka Africa Safaris. Everything is well organized. The operator Latipher was amazing. She has been very responsive and very helpful. Speaking with her is like talking to a friend which makes me feel comfortable and secure.I think this is very important to a solo traveler like myself.

Also, my sincere thanks to our Safari guide Ismail, our trekking guide Josef and Emanuel, and of course to all other crew members!

High service level
5/5

All the way from pick up at our place the communication was excellent. When we got a challenge with the vehicle the company quickly changed to another vehicle. The guide was quite experienced and service minded. We managed to see all the big five in hour three days travel from Nairobi to Masai Mara. Everything worked well though the hotel was not good at supporting one in the group requiring gluten free food. All in all we are very satisfied.

Best experience for the best price
5/5

We were on our honeymoon and did a safari to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli National Park. We did the 7 day tour. We went with the expectation of seeing as many animals as possible and taking beautiful photos. It worked out. However, it often takes a lot of patience and some days you are less lucky than others. Therefore it makes sense to spend several nights at the places. However, our driver Abdallah made an incredible amount of things possible. Among other things, he was in constant exchange with other tour guides and so we were able to experience unique animal encounters. This is one of the reasons why I would definitely do a guided tour and not drive my own car. Also, the roads are very "off-road" and not always easy to drive. However, with Abdallah we always felt safe. He always stopped when we asked him to and if, for example, we said we would like to see elephants today, he listened to the radio and went to the right places to make it possible. The important thing is to accept that not every wish can come true. The game drives were always tailored to our wishes and needs. We went to the park at sunrise or sometimes stayed there until sunset. Abdallah was completely oriented to our wishes. On a game drive (game stands for wild and not for play) one collects so many impressions that one is glad about a short break in the midday. Since they usually also start very early, the break is also a good time to take a nap. The food during the safari was also outstanding. Especially in the Mara, we were touchingly taken care of by the team at our own campsite and there was always very tasty food (also vegetarian on request). The accommodations were always extraordinary, sometimes because of the view, sometimes because of the food and sometimes because of the background noise. The latter is especially unique in the tented camp in the Masai Mara. It is great to fall asleep to the laughter of the hyenas. By the way, in the tents there are real beds (1,20m x 2m). If you do our tour, you have to be aware that you sometimes sit in the car for a very long time during the change of location. This does not detract from the joy, because you can experience Kenya from the less touristy side. Our tour guide also entertained us during the trips with interesting facts about Kenya and nature. We would definitely recommend this tour and also the company as we got to know it. Everyone really does their best to give you the perfect experience (for example, the night before we left for the Mara, our plug adapter broke. The owner came to our hotel that night and brought a new one). We will definitely come back!

Unforgettable, with the best tour guide we could wish for
5/5

We had a private safari tour with Dancing Simba and it was absolutely amazing!
The communication and planning before the trip was very good but the true highlight was our tour guide Praise. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, the entire Serengeti area, and spoke very good English. He took us to all the places and animals we wanted to see and made this a unique and very special trip, far away from any mass tourism. We definitely recommend booking with Dancing Simba, and specifically asking for Praise to be your guide!

Wild jungle trails - again and again!!! Just perfect!!! Simply the best!!!
5/5

Our group spent 4 days traveling with Twaha and George in various national parks: Lake Mburo, Queen Elisabeth NP and the Kalinzu Forest. As always, the planning, organization and implementation were perfectly tailored to our individual wishes. Great accommodations, exciting game drives, chimpanzee trekking in the rainforest, a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, the delicious meals and short stops in between and a few surprises made our tour an unforgettable experience! Thank you Twaha and George!!!

Great 8 days in Kenya
5/5

Me and my mom spent great 8 days in Kenya with Meektrails Safaris.

The planning and communication before our arrival was smooth, Pauline was very responsive and provided answers to all my questions.

On the first day of Safari we were picked up from our hotel on the agreed time, greeted by Pauline, Daniel and our guide for the week - Anthony. Anthony made our safari experience great, he is a very positive person, provided us a lot of information about the plants and animals and made sure we see all the big 5 animals before the end of our tour.

The accommodation at Ziwa Bush Lodge can be highlighted as it felt luxurious, the rest of the lodges were fine as well for the mid-range category.

At the end of the safari we were dropped off at our hotel in Nairobi.

I can definitely recommend booking with Meektrails Safaris.

This tour was one of our best! I loved the Jeep and sitting up high we could see all the animals. Our guide was wonderful and tried his best.

Adam was friendly and courteous and knowledgeable, he was focused on providing a memorable tour.

I found Dream Bandas to be a thoroughly professional and reliable company. The arrangements in place in the national park meant that we were assured of a successful encounter with a family of gorillas, and in our case, our trek into the jungle was actually quite short.

Circle of Life feeling
Overall rating
5/5

This tour is very organized from the initial inquiry, to pick-up, to the schedule, to the accommodation, to the food until the drop-off. I don’t need to worry on anything. I just need to show up and be prepared to see the animals. They responded to queries promptly and the booking process is very quick and easy. We went to places as described. Masai Mara’s landscape is really beautiful. We saw a lot of wildlife including 4 of the big 5 (except rhino). We also saw a lot of actions like a lion hunting and catching a pumba, vultures eating an animal, leopard climbing a tree, and lions swimming and sun bathing. Our guide, Richard, made sure that we see the good stuff. Roger is very helpful with the photos (he’s a professional photographer). Masai Mara is definitely the highlight of my Kenya trip. Lake Nakuru is also wonderful. Unfortunately, we were a bit late because someone decided to enjoy his breakfast so we didn’t see the black rhino. Good thing we saw the white rhino and flamingos. There are optional activities on this tour:
- Visit to Masai Village ($20) - honestly, I feel like it’s ok to skip this. It’s a bit “staged” but it’s also a way of helping the community.
- Boat tour in Lake Naivasha and Safari walk ($45) - it’s a nice experience. We saw hippos and different bird species during the boat tour. The walking safari feels like a walk in a farm.
The camp and hotel we stayed on are good although the shower water flow in Lenchada Camp can be improved (hot water is available). There’s no wifi in the camp and electricity is only available at 6-10pm and 5:30-7:30am whose is fine with me. The food included in the tour is good too. They’re mostly local food which is good. Overall, this is highly recommended tour.
