I was searching intensively the net and Lenchada Safaris gave me the best trip option for the best value. The team was very attentive for any of my questions before i closed the deal with them. The great care continued throughout all the trip. Trip was very well organised, i really felt that somebody cares for my trip, everything was in the level as promised (must say - very high level) and i was very happy :)
I really got the best i could have wished for and i definitely recommend these guys for a safari trip in Kenya

Well exeeded expectations
5/5

We were very pleased with our Safari in Mikumi National Park. Our guide was very helpful and generous the entire trip, and guided us to a lot of different animals. Definitely recommend the 3-day safari, as we felt like we got a lot of value for the price we paid.

Absolutely perfect

We climbed Kilimanjaro with Almighty Kilimanjaro (and reached Uhuru Peak at 6:40am on 10/11/2019!)

We were initially apprehensive booking with Almighty Kilimanjaro as they seemed to be a relatively new company with little information or reviews online. We chose the Lemosho 8 day route which was very reasonably priced and included a night in a hotel before and after the trip.

The night before the start the team met us at our hotel to go through the trip and answer any questions we had, as well as check that we had all the necessary equipment. Any nerves we had were immediately dissipated as they were friendly, helpful and obviously had a lot of experience in climbing Kili. We all immediately felt safe and confident that we would be well looked after. We didn't have all of the items that we needed but we were easily able to hire anything we needed from their office.

We took Diamox during the whole 8 day trip which is very cheap and readily available in all the pharmacies in Moshi.

For the trip we had 14 porters and a cook (which seemed excessive for 4 of us, but believe me you'll be thankful for each and every one of them by the end of the trip!). We also had two guides, Innocent and Emanuel, who were such great fun and true friends by the end of the trip. They were experts on the mountain and we never felt unsafe with them.

I can't begin to explain the standard of service we received from every porter. Every morning we would wake to warm water to wash with and then sit down to a fully laid table overlooking the mountain complete with tablecloth, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruit, toast, porridge, eggs, sausages, ketchup, chilli sauce .... even toothpicks! Whilst we were eating our water bottles were filled with boiled drinking water.

The Lemosho route is very short for the first 4 days and so we would reach the next camp in time for lunch. When we arrived our tents were already pitched with our bags inside and there would be hot drinks, popcorn and biscuits waiting for us. Lunch would be soup to start, with a main (usually rice/pasta with a sauce) plus fruit or something similar for dessert. One of the group is coeliac (so gluten free) and we never had a problem with any of the food - there was without fail always a gluten free option. We all love spicy food and so as a joke we asked if there was any fresh chilli available - 10 minutes later a bowl of freshly made delicious chilli appeared! To reiterate how high the standards were, I saw the team wiping down all the coffee pots, cutlery and glasses before laying the table to make sure it was spotless!

Summit night was very hard, being cold, dark, relentless and altitude sickness kicking in! But thanks to our guides we made it right to the top and have memories that we will never forget.

All the porters were so friendly, they would take us for walks around the camps in the afternoons and help us in whatever way they could. We were truly sad to say goodbye to them all at the end of the trip.

We could not recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro any higher. They are fun, friendly, accommodating and most importantly safe. We've come away with memories and stories to last a lifetime. Thank you Almighty Kilimanjaro

A professional company providing excellent service
5/5

We recently undertook a 13 day safari tour of Uganda which included a gorilla trek, a chimp habituation experience, tracking lions and leopards and walking with a guide to track rhinos.

Kassim was our guide and he was determined to ensure that we achieved our bucket list of things to see and do. We saw a multitude of animals including some tree climbing lions which he spotted well in advance of us even realising they were there.

Kassim was an excellent guide and we enjoyed his company. He was courteous, punctual and very careful with guest safety being paramount. The paperwork was all in order and our holiday went ever so smoothly.

Talking to Kassim was like talking to a friend as he shared his knowledge about Uganda and spoke about his family including what life was like growing up in a village in Uganda. He had a great sense of humour once you got to know him.

We were particularly touched by his generous nature. He bought fruit for us to eat along the way and, on occasions, would stop and share this fruit with children.

We have wonderful memories as Kassim went out of his way to make this a very special holiday.

Great customer service during the planning..but no follow up
4/5

Would rate 4.5 but did not have the option..overall wonderful service...great options ..good communication and personalized service during our planning process. We had a very memorable safari experience..our itinerary was perfect for first-time safari travelers..each camp was so very different..the terrain..the venue and the wildlife...an amazing experience..our only negative was that Yellow Zebra never followed up with us or checked in with us to ask how our trip/safari adventure was...disappointing...James Short was our initial contact.....James was our initial contact and he was very helpful in selecting our camps...and Emma was very helpful the week or two prior to travel with last-minute issues because the Visa process changed..we just felt it was very strange that no one asked us if we enjoyed our trip after we returned home..

About: Zimbabwe
WONDERFUL TRIP!
Overall rating
5/5

I really have loved this country. Each part has its interests and beauty. I had the chance to see many lions and cheetahs as well as other animals like elephants, zebras, and a lot of birds on Zambezi river where i canoed 4 days.

Matopos also worth to be seen with its strange stones and very beautiful landscape, especially at sunset.
And, I have walked with the lions in Gweru.

I sincerely advise to visit this country!!

Prompt, professional and excellent service
5/5

We, six seniors, took a 14 day sightseeing tour to Cape Tour and Johannesburg, safari trip to Krugar park and Chobe in Botswana as well as tour to Victoria Fall in Zimbabwe in Oct. 2019 organized by Discovery Africa. Both, Megan Warrington and Alice Lombard, our travel consultants, planned a well though out detail itinerary covering all aspect of our tour with care and understanding our requirements. They were very professional in their response (both over the phone or via email) as well as were every willing and prompt in dealing with our concerns/requests.

The tour exceeded our expectation and had a wonderful experience both for sightseeing part as well as the Safari trip. The subcontractors for transportation, sight seeing tours as well as the safari expedition provided an excellent service and found to be very knowledgeable. The Safari experience was much beyond our expectation were able to see all five big games at a close distance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will not hesitate to refer anyone to Discovery Africa as a tour planner and South Africa as a prefer destination for Safari experience.
