Poor communicators, frustrating with many changes
We felt that communication was a huge issue in dealing with Sunsets during the tour. There did not seem to be a single point of contact for the group (e.g. various contact points via Gladys, Haron, Lucy, using the Messages function in the booking app). There were times when calls were not taken, and promised return calls not received.
Changes to the itinerary prior to the tour were not specifically pointed out, and still there were more changes during the tour that were not communicated - these changes impacted some of the key highlights that we had all expected from the original itinerary we had paid for.
It was emotionally and physically exhausting having to deal with all the recurrent problems during the tour, even till late at night.
Initial itineraries indicated that a meeting would be held on Day 1 at 18:00 with the guide and that all members of the group should attend that meeting so as not to miss out on any critical information. This did not occur - we met our guide at the start of day 2. He was surprised to have 7 people on the tour in one vehicle and also at the amount of luggage - which was a problem for him to accomodate safely and securely. No ”PRE-TOUR” information was provided about luggage or clothing requirements, although this had been requested by many of the group members. This resulted in the tour truck being overcrowded with luggage.
There was confusion about where the tour ended - Arusha or Nairobi. 4 of the 7 people on the tour had confirmed that the tour was to end in Arusha and it was up to them to arrange return either to Nairobi or elsewhere. This was not consistent with the name being called a “Circuit” and as it transpired, it became clear (once on the tour) that we could have all been transported back to Nairobi by road to end the tour - but this was not known to those of us who paid additional money to fly from Arusha to Nairobi.
The drivers/tour guides in both Kenya and Tanzania were friendly and helpful, but they were not employed by Sunsets and had limited ability to fix operational issues - other than be the go -between with the company. However the safari drives were good and we saw lots of wonderful animals thankfully.
I would recommend being very careful about arranging a tour with Sunsets of Africa based on our experience.
We had booked through Tourradar who did help us with some monetary compensation on our return - as all 7 of us agreed we had not received what we had paid for.

We had an amazing time!
We had the 5 Day Kruger Park and Private Lodge Combo Safari and it was fantastic. Everything was well organized by Mike, when I send an email, a few hours later I already get an answer back.
We spend 3 days with Nicky, she was wonderful, knows a lot from the animals and the birds in the Kruger area. Also a good cook.
And Arathusa Private Lodge, no words for this luxury stay, beautiful lodges, great food and the best game drive.
When we ever go back to Africa, we definitely make a tour with Wild Wings Safaris and we’ll recommend it on our friends and family.

This tour was excellent. Handled professionally throughout.
Kuda was my guide for our day at Victoria Falls. This guy is a great, very funny guide. He told us all about the falls, the park's history etc, while joking around with us plenty too. Lots of little side notes & things you wouldn't notice w/o the guide as well. Took a ton of pictures and sent them to us as well. Everything else was painless too...the drive, getting through customs on the Zimbabwe & Zambia sides, etc. Nice air conditioned van, tons of bottled water on hand if you get hot. Kept in touch with Kuda since and hope to see him in the States one day as well.

Just Amazing
We had a wonderful safari. Great service, simply great! Our driver Cornellius Mwaruma was the best you can imagine! We wanted to see giraffes at the end and he stopped especially for us, even though we were already too late.

Awesome host - Simon
Cuckoo Safaris provided an excellent and cooperative service. We are pleased with our choice, particularly Simon, our host, who willingly fulfilled all our requests with a smile and gratitude. The only minor drawback was that, due to the diverse range of activities such as game drives and camping, we engaged with various smaller companies not directly affiliated with Cuckoo. While everyone was remarkable, one guide was reluctant in fulfilling his role as a wildlife guide, but the others compensated for it. Overall, it was a superbly enjoyable experience that we look forward to repeating, again & again!

A Journey Beyond Expectations with Makario Safaris
I recently had the privilege of embarking on a safari adventure with Makario Safaris, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I made the initial inquiry to the final farewell, every aspect of the journey was meticulously planned and executed with unparalleled precision. I recommend Makario Safaris as one of the top 5 tour operators in Rwanda.

Fantastic trip with guide Adrian from Easy Travel and Tours
We had a fantastic trip with Easy Travel and Tours through our tour operator Matoke. Our guide, Adrian, took us to Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP, Ngorongoro, and finally, Serengeti NP. Adrian proved to be highly experienced, and has some much knowledge about the animals, plants, and the surroundings, knowing the parks inside out. When the animals wanted to make an appearance, Adrian knew where to find them. We eventually saw the entire Big Five and much more. We also enjoyed the trees, plants, and numerous beautiful birds that Adrian could identify. The highlights of this journey are captured in the photos: a cheetah with her cubs, the leopard, and the large group of elephants. Thanks for everything, Easy Travel and Tours, and especially Adrian!

Great quality, flexible, tailor made tours at the price of standard tours
We had a tailor made 5 days tour that included Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha + the transfers from and back to Mombasa. Jocky our Tours has accomodated all our demands offering a flawless and care free experience. We have takn a mid range option and were 100% satisfied. The safari guide makes a huge difference. Our guide was Johnny who is kind, passionate and experienced. He constantly went the extra-mile, going for longer hours, just to make everyone happy. He is very well connected with everyone and gets all hints necessary to get to the big five locations. We actually ended up seeing all big 5 in the first 2 hours in Masai Mara. Also his flexibility and proactiveness in recommending activities was great. We highly recommend Johnny and Jocky Tours overall.
