Great Safari We did the 5 day tour and it was an absolutely great experience.
From the beginning to the end, everything was perfectly organized, the pick up at the airport, the accommodations, meals and also the comfort during the safari. I would definitely book my safari with Serengeti African Tours again. Our guide Ombeni was an absolute highlight on this trip. He knew everything about the nature and the animals and could answer every question. I would do a safari with him again straight away. It was an incredible time! Thanks to all the people involved

If you’re looking to do a proper Tanzanian safari, honestly, look no further – Rafa is the best!
If you’ve read any of the other reviews for Mawe on this site, you know that Rafa (Raphael) comes VERY highly recommended. I can tell you from my personal experience that these gushing reviews are not hyperbole at all – Rafa is the real deal.
First and foremost: he knows, loves, and respects nature. Want to know how to spot the difference between, say, a Grant’s Gazelle and a Thomson’s Gazelle? Rafa has you covered, in a way that’s aligned with a good guidebook but goes above and beyond. He’s passionate about helping the group determine what they want to see and then doing everything possible to make that happen, all the while ensuring that everyone is safe and the wildlife is unbothered by your presence. His knowledge of eastern Serengeti and Ngorongoro is elaborate, and I’m sure it extends much further than that. We were amazed at how many species of incredible animals we were able to see throughout the tour, many of them from quite close.
Beyond that very important requirement for a great Safari, Rafa is simply a great person to spend time with. You get the sense that he could navigate any difficult situation you might find yourself in (fortunately none for us), but at the same time he’s extremely friendly and fun. It’s difficult to adequately describe, but for my group he created a true team atmosphere where we were all working together to spot amazing wildlife, have a good look with our binos, and document it in photos/videos to help keep the memories alive for a lifetime. We all felt like we were a part of something special. And of course while wildlife is the main draw, Tanzania also offers many windows into its vibrant culture, and Rafa gave us great insights and answered all our questions about that aspect too.
In summary, we felt extremely fortunate to have Rafa as our guide. If you’re looking to do a proper Tanzanian safari, honestly, look no further – Rafa is the best!

Incredible. Our dream come true
We did our 9-day safari with them and it was a dream. From the first moment they picked us up from the airport, they made us feel safe and at home. They dealt with incidents that they were not responsible for and resolved them immediately. It was my birthday and they made sure that my dinner included a beautiful cake. The safari itself was incredible. We saw all kinds of animals thanks to Othman, our guide with whom we made a great friendship. It was impressive how he searched and found all the animals, an expert from head to toe. We even got to see lions copulating and hyena cubs nursing. The hotels 10/10, incredible luxury, spectacular food, unbeatable service, at all times in contact with Freddy by phone in case we found any inconvenience (which was not the case). We would repeat a thousand times with this agency. Thank you 'Rafikis', for making our dream come true, we hope to see each other again❤

Knowledgeable, reliable and very friendly
We did a three day tour to Lake Eyasi and the Ngorongoro highlands. It wasn't really directed at seeing wildlife but mainly directed at experiencing the life of Datoga and the Hadzabe people in the Lake Eyasi area. Besides that we also visited Olduvai Gorge and the museum about all the archeological and geographic research in this area. Fascinating. Due to very bad weather we couldn't visit Laetoli, where the actual footsteps are discovered but an improvised visit to the shifting sands made up for that. Sam is a good driver and everything was very well organised.

Amazing safari tour with experienced guide and fun people!
The safari was an unforgettable experience. We saw almost all animals we were looking for, thanks to our experienced tour guide Macha. During the tour, we enjoyed the stays at great lodges and the time with the other people of the group. Totally worth it!

Great tour operator to work with
Carol for Kameraz took our brief for what we wanted to do and turned it into a safari that worked. We needed to combine business requirements while doing the safari and Carol was able to produce exactly what we needed. She was also able to respond to last minute changes quickly to ensure that the trip went smoothly. Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya was the highlight, we managed close encounters with Rhinos and Lions and the accommodation at Fairmont Mt Kenya was outstanding, totally recommend that people put that on their list to do. We were also very lucky to witness the crossing three times, once from the Masai Mara and twice within the Serengeti, an amazing sight once again something you have try see. We also stayed on a tea plantation in Kenya and would recommend that experience for anyone who loves tea.

What an amazing and brilliant experience! And to think that I might not have even joined this part of the trip with my family!
But the especially created 8 day program, catered to our family’s wants and needs had me convinced almost immediately. I’m happy to say that they delivered everything they promised, and more! A plentiful mix of culture, wildlife, souvenir shopping, foods, and relaxation, ro experience nearly everything beautiful Tanzania has to offer. They were Open to suggestions, and willing to adapt to accommodate changes in planning. Nothing was too small or too big to do or organize. Highly professional but with a personal touch. I can’t think of a better way to have experienced the beauty of Tanzania, its wildlife and its people. So happy that I made that decision. If I ever have the opportunity of traveling back to Tanzania, I know who to ask! ;) All the best!
