We done a 4 day trip with Big Apes in Rwanda and Uganda. We had a fantastic time. Really unique experience with Trekking to see the Gorillaz. Big apes accommodated our dates and requirements brilliantly. Would highly recommend.

Botswana has always been our number one bucket list country to visit. Not just because of the wildlife and flora, but the fact that the country, despite being one of the poorest, has managed to maintain a peaceful and democratic society since its independence, which is a credit to the entire population. The people are friendly and warm.

The experience that my wife and I had during our tented safari with Lucas not only reinforced our perception of Botswana but added a totally new dimension. Under guidance of Lucas with his merry band of helpers, Pula (the Chef), Bungi and Antonie, you wouldn’t get better service if you were in a 5-star resort. But we weren’t in a resort; we were witnessing and in a sense being part of the local flora and fauna in its natural habitat which is breathtaking and a beautiful reminder of the cycle of life.

Not just the capabilities of Lucas, but his oneness with nature was an extraordinary experience. Staying in tents, with relatively basic infrastructure compared to what we are used to, in the middle of a game reserve having a drink or meal under the beautiful African sky was mesmerising. Lucas’ love for his country and his work was infectious.

Pula’s cooking with different meals every day was lovely, Bunga and Antonie assisting in every way to make us feel comfortable; it all added to the total experience.

A once in a lifetime experience
5/5

We went for an 8 day safari trip and had a great time! We saw Tangiri with its Baoab trees and elephants (and of course, warthogs), and then went on to spent 3 days in the Serengeti in the Moyo tent lodge. This was fantastic, you can hear the hyenas calling at night. We saw large herd of zebras and wildebeest, elephants, lions, a cheetah and a leopard, buffalo, two jackals , bat-eared foxes, and all different types off antelopes. We could also see mongoose, and a variety of small birds and birds of prey.
KARIM was our guide, and he is just the BEST !! He made every effort to customise the trip to our needs and interests and was always attentive and friendly and gave us the time we needed to observe animal behaviours in their natural habitat. He is also very knowledgable and would answer all of our many many questions.
On the way back we went to the Ngorongoro Crater, a world in itself and completed the big five. We then went to the Lake Manyara and visited a Maasai village. This is very touristic, of course, but also an interesting visit.
Some recommendations for travellers are to check in good time beforehand with your agency on how to transfer the payments and to calculate in your budget that heavy tipping is customary.

All in all we would to this even twice in a lifetime and we are already dreaming of coming back for the wildebeest migration.

Open and friendly staff focused on a hassle free experience

We had a 10/10 experience with MVA. Our tour guide was very kind and open hearted and made sure to provide us with the best safari possible. It was a very laid back and personal atmosphere. The trip was completely stress free and all our needs were taken care of while we got to experience the amazing nature and animals of Tanzania. The accomodations were all great, especially the comfortable tents in the Serengeti.

So if you are looking for an excellent safari, with great value for money and without any unnecessary luxury, we really recommend this company!

Our guide Emmanuel was fantastic he led us to the location of all the big 5 animals and many more. We saw animals we never thought we would see. He was so friendly and knowledgeable on all the animals. Castor was brilliant also he organised everything for us and everything went so smooth. He was very responsive and any time I text him or emailed he would get back straight away. I would wholeheartedly say it was the most amazing three days ever.

Fantastic safari and brilliant value for money.

Eighteen of us booked an overnight safari for when we had two days in Mombasa on a cruise ship. From making the booking, we were kept up-to-date with all the info we could need and all the questions we had were answered promptly. Our jeeps were waiting for us when we disembarked from the ship and everything was organised professionally. Our driver was friendly and genuinely keen to show us as much wildlife as possible. He had a skill for being able to spot almost anything while driving and stopped whenever there was anything interesting to see. We managed to see lions, giraffes, elephants, a leopard in a tree and a hippo, as well as zebra, gazelle, ostrich, vultures, eagles and various other birds and grazing animals. The scenery was magnificent and the lodge at Voi was great - decent food, clean rooms and facilities and good service. We also visited a Maasai village and the two-hour drive from Mombasa was interesting in its own right. Reuben was with us the whole time to check we were happy with everything and was super friendly. I really can't find fault with anything and the price was excellent value for money. This was my first ever safari and it surpassed every expectation. A 10/10 recommendation.
