Jartan is a knowledgable, fun, and accommodating guide with Eagle eyes!
5/5

My wife and I traveled with Jartan as our guide along with 4 of our friends touring through the Masai Mara, Amboseli NP, Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti NP. Jartan took great care of all of us along the way. He listened to what we wanted to see and experience and did his best to accommodate our wishes. Of course no one can guarantee seeing animals, but with Jartan, we saw so many animals that our cameras were filled up with great photos. His ability to spot animals is truly remarkable. Even the drivers, who spot animals when the rest of us could not, were impressed with his ability to spot animals at tremendous distances. This trip was our third trip on an African safari and we saw so many more animals this time as the previous two trips combined. The tented safari camps exceeded our expectations. Jartan did a good job keeping us on schedule and always put us in the best position to see and do the things we all wanted to experience. His personality was a great fit with all of us, he has a good sense of humor and was happy to share what life is like in this part of the world.

Our stay at Makweti was superb - hospitality, catering, service and over quality of experience cannot be faulted. The array of wildlife we saw on our morning and afternoon explorations and the immediate proximity to the wildlife was truly amazing - a special mention to Joseph our safari guide/host, his knowledge, patience and service was a highlight of our 4 day experience.

Professional, Friendly, and Highly Experienced
5/5

We booked a 6 day private safari with Apodiformes Adventures and would highly recommend them! Both the tour consultant, Silas, and our tour guide, Isaiah, were professional and made sure our trip was comfortable and memorable. We visited Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli which was quite a bit of driving but enjoyable getting to see the diverse landscape of Kenya. We really enjoyed eating our meals with our tour guide where we could plan out the day ahead and get to know them personally. Our guide recommended we get to the Maasai Mara park gate right when it opens which meant a very early wake up. We listen to their advice, which resulted in us seeing big five on our first day on safari which was incredibly lucky!

Knowledgable tour guide Adam w a PhD background, and 50% of their profit goes towards local charity
5/5

Good value for money, excellent tour guide and lovely campsites. The hotels in Arusha is basic but is good enough but u can always pay more for five star accommodation. The company has a charity mission behind it, 50% goes towards local charity for AIDS patient, women w mutilated genitals, orphans and the tribal people. Knowledgable tour guide w PhD background and knows all kinds of wild life in the safari. Our tour guy Adam is a soft gentle man who also do not smoke and very clean. I like this coz I don’t know drivers who always smoke

Topy Tours Jackson was the right choice. We are satisfied.
5/5

We arrived Arusha on 12.jan and started our 7-day safari on 13. Jan. We were picked up from the AirPort as promised and informed. The first Arusha tourist in hotel was modest, budget hotel as we knew. We met Jackson and he explained our safari program and some changes in the schedule. He took very good care of us. The safari started in the next morning at 8. Our guide Godson picked us from the Hotel and We drove with an other couple to Tarangire. That was a good start. The lodge was ok in Mto wa Mbu and personal was helpful. Lake Manyara was the second day experience. After LM We had the same lodge. The 3. Day We drove a long way to Serengeti. We camped there two nights. The rain and camping is not very good but We had some rain during next 3 days when We camped. The rain also has made the paths in Serengeti very muddy. Usually it rained in night time and in the mornings. We had really good experience and the great adventure in Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We got the big 5. The roads and paths were in terrible bad condition. The days were long and rough because the drivers had to help stucked jeeps. This Year january has been rainy and that surpriced everybody. Our guide Godson was very good driver and he knew much about animals. Our cook Devi was good and very helpful. The food was ok and much enough. Lunch was not hot anymore in hotpots because it had to be made before the breakfast in the morning. We took an option and changed the last day program to Materuni waterfalls and coffee lession. We learned very much about zaka tribe. Thanks Benedict the last day guide. Benedict was the great guide and Person, We really enjoyed the last day with him. We can recommend Topy Tours and Jackson absolutely.

A dream come true - thankyou!
5/5

This safari was one of the best experiences of my life. As a solo traveller, I joined a group of 6 others in our sturdy, comfortable Landcruiser vehicle for a fun group three-day Maasai Mara safari.
Our guide Solomon was wonderful - every day he went out of his way to make sure we were happy and comfortable and most importantly gave us amazing opportunities and time to observe the animals. He had a knack for finding great viewing spots and staying just that little bit longer to experience a special moment. (He says it’s all luck, but I’m sure experience plays a part). He is always happy to chat and answer questions about the animals and environment, Kenyan culture and language - we learned some useful Swahili words!
The combo of a day 1 evening game drive plus the full day game drive on day 2 felt like a lot of time to fully experience the park - it’s definitely a lot of driving but there’s always something interesting to appreciate. After I left I wish I could have stayed much longer though.
We saw lions and elephants amazingly close up, multiple times. We also spent time with buffaloes and giraffes, and saw so many more types of animals than I was expecting - many types of antelopes/gazelles, warthogs (pumba!), baboons, zebras, hyenas, jackals, identified about 20 types of birds including eagles, crested cranes, vultures, and many many more. Unfortunately we didn’t find any leopards, cheetahs or rhinos, and due to the high rainfall there weren’t many hippos around but we saw a few, on the guided walk with a ranger at the river.
The landscape is so beautiful and expansive I could stare at it for days.
Solomon handled the muddy ground with skill and we never got stuck even with plenty of off-roading.

Solomon also helped me organise a nature walk with one of the local Maasai, where I learned about some local plants on a nice morning stroll, along with the Maasai village visit on day 3.
The Lenchada Camp was simple and comfortable, with friendly staff and simple tasty food. Apart from the generator in the morning and evening it was peaceful and quiet. Note that if you’re in the tent furthest down the hill then the hot water won’t reach you very hot.
Some of our group stayed in the much more luxury Emayian Camp also nearby.
Right from the first enquiry I found the Lenchada Safaris staff very helpful - Alex was prompt to respond to my queries and handled a last-minute change very smoothly. The pickup, payment and drop off staff were very efficient and friendly.
This whole experience was just amazing, thank you so much!

Kiboko Safaris & Tours
5/5

Kiboko Safaris was amazingly easy to communicate with and provided an immediate response. Informative, flexible, and helpful. The planning process was made easy with John's knowledge, experience, and willingness to create a package to suit our budget. John took the thinking out of the planning process, which is always nice, especially with our busy lives. Julius, our tour guide and driver, was kind, thoughtful, informative, and a great spotter of wild animals. Julius made our safari experience adventure fun and exciting. Julius is such a nice guy, we enjoyed our chats and having dinner with him each night to discuss our plans for the next day. Our accommodation was lovely and clean and the hotel's service teams were excellent.

Kiboko Safaris, provided a personalized service, taking the time to check with us during our trip to see if there was anything we needed, or if there was anything they could do to improve our experience. They even provide us with bottles of wine to go with your delicious picnic lunches each day.

Thank you Kiboko Safari team for making our trip so memorable and for your excellent hospitality.
