Jartan Laizer was our trip leader on our recent family trip to Kenya and Tanzania.
5/5

From our first contact with Jartan via email 5/23/22 throughout our trip, which ended 7/15/22, Jartan was nothing short of extraordinary. Although we have taken over 13 trips across the world, we have never had a company that contacted us so much ahead of our trip. We had the opportunity to have multiple contacts with Jartan with our questions, and he always responded quickly and thoroughly. In addition, he responded to questions from the other members of our family group in the same way. Although there were a number of complications due to flight cancellations, he was very accommodating with the late arrivals.

He consistently asked all of the group members during the trip if they were OK and if things were going well for them. His personal relationships with each member of the group, including the children ages 11, 13, and 17, were beyond the usual expectations for a group leader. Everyone loved him.

Although there was a problem with lost luggage of 3 members of our party, Jartan told me that he did not sleep until the bags were safely in the hands of their owners. And they were safe.

One of the reasons for our family trip was to renew our wedding vows for our 20th anniversary. It is our second marriage, and all 4 of our kids had stood up for our wedding ceremony. We wanted all of them to be present for the renewal. We informed Jartan of our intention, and he asked if he could officiate. We loved the idea and asked him to do it in a Masai traditional way and help us find appropriate Masai clothing for the service. He arranged to take us to a local (non-tourist) Masai village to have the ladies help us find appropriate attire. That was an experience by itself. He also selected the perfect location at the border of Kenya and Tanzania. Additionally, he researched and designed a custom anniversary card for us and had a local (non-tourist) woodcutter make it for him out of wood from a Tanzanian tree. A herd of elephants was just outside the location of our ceremony. The drivers stationed themselves so they could keep an eye on them. In the middle of the vows, the drivers yelled: “Get in the Jeeps!” as the elephants were approaching! When it was safe to complete the ceremony, we did. How many people can say that their wedding vow ceremony was crashed by a herd of elephants? Later that day at the lodge, Jartan arranged in advance a special cake for us and dance of the staff. It was really extraordinary, and we were deeply touched.

As if all of that were not enough, we saw the Big Five in the first day and a half! The weather was perfect throughout the trip, and we even saw a pride of lions stalk and killing a wildebeest. Finally, we were lucky enough to see thousands of wildebeests at the migration crossing.

We learned so much about the people and culture of both countries with personal experiences.

It was the trip of a lifetime for all 13 of us and a dream come true thanks to Jartan and Tanzania Safari Collection.

Respectfully,

Vladimir Lyaskin

Absolutely Amazing! So friendly and knowledgeable.
5/5

Absolutely outstanding tour! From the moment we booked with Key2Africa we felt looked after. We had regular text messages to ensure we had everything we needed before the trip, and to know how to meet our guides once we landed at Arusha. When we met our guides James and Gloria we were put at ease instantly with their wonderful personalities and humour. And then the safari! I honestly can not put into words how amazing it was. Their knowledge of the land and the animals gave us the opportunity to experience some truly magical moments. James and Gloria were so quick to spot animals and we even managed to see a lion hunt with a live kill. Whilst we appreciate that this is not always possible we definitely wouldn’t have seen it without their fantastic skills. Thank you so much Key2Africa you have made our honeymoon completely magical.

Reliable, efficient and trustworthy
5/5

Very impressed with this outfit who responded promptly to my initial enquiries and followed on from there answering all my questions and showing great flexibility in putting an itinerary together to get the most out of our planned seven days safari.

Our contact Wilson, met us at the airport when we arrived in Kenya and again when we returned to Nairobi seven days later. He was friendly, polite and set us on our way. Our driver and guide Victor was outstanding. Laid back, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with, he really helped us get the most out of our trip. We crammed a lot in the seven days - Amboseli, Nakuru, Navaisha and the Masaai Mara of course.

The accommodation that we stayed in was excellent and the food was really good as well. Compared to several other travel agents I obtained quotes from, the trip was really good value for money.

I can definitely recommend Kichaka Tours and Travel

Funny, informative and fantastic! We had an amazing time thanks to them.
5/5

What a trip! We went for 3 days and went to 3 different parks. Day 1 we say a herd of elephants less than a meter from the jeep all walk past us (what an experience). Day 3 we saw everything from Hyneniers to rhinos (plural as as one point we saw 5 together) personally was my favourite day as we saw every animal in abundance. Day 3 we were lucky enough to see a lion chase down and kill a baby warthog thanks to the quick thinking of our driver who raced us over there! I can honestly say I feel so privileged to have seen what I have the past few days. Anyone looking for a safari? Then look no further!!!!

5 Day budget Safari
5/5

5/5 for a budget trip. Price was in range with other people we spoke to doing similar trips. Our guide Omar in particular was excellent. Chatty and knowledgeable, as well as most importantly an excellent driver it what are really difficult conditions. He really made every effort to maximise and personalise the experience. Food was hearty and filling and never lacking in portions- it was budget not luxury. Accomodation again was totally fine for budget, even got a lodge with a private room/bathroom for 2 nights rather then all camping. Go with the right mindset and you'll have a blast.

Outstanding sarfari
5/5

Definitely a 6 out of 5 stars!!
Everything from the booking with William to our Sarfari guide Assad Guga were superb and exceeded out expectations!

William handeled the details of the sarfari, customizing it to what we wanted. We were able to see part of the great migration. Transfers to and from the airport and hotels went smoothly even through some flights were early and others were late. We loved the luxuxy hotels and food.

I defintely recommend you request our experienced and amiable sarfari guide Assad Guga. We loved his knowlege of the animals and willingness and success in finding every animal we wanted to see. We saw the big 5 including the elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard. We saw wildebeest, water bucks, gazelles, zebras, a cheeta, hippos, impalas, wart hogs, monkeys, hyenas, baboons, flamigos, storks and many more. I would highly recommend Assad for an experience you won't soon forget.
