Unbelievable experience
The Pearl of Africa lived up to it’s name with an amazing tour. I travelled to Namibia with this company in August and was so impressed with all aspects of Masihambe Afrika I went back a few weeks later as they had a cancellation on their Uganda tour. There were just six of us and our awesome, knowledgeable guide, Ant. Part of this tour was camping (and putting up our own tents) in remote places with few if any other people around. Ant is a great cook and story teller and we loved sitting around the campfire sharing stories at night.
Uganda exceeded my expectations. The gorilla trek just amazing as was the chimp trek. There are just 36 white rhino in Uganda and 34 in the reserve where we stayed and walked with them. The Nile river was clean and teaming with wildlife as was the delta. The people, especially the children, are friendly and happy.
I would highly recommend Masihambe Afrika. Would not go to Africa with anyone else and have now booked my third trip with them to Botswana next year.

The organisation was perfect, the tour guide was very competent and friendly.
Many thanks for organizing this 9 days trip through a landscape, that is so varied. We saw a lot of the landscape, the people and of course many wildlife animals. The highlight were the Gorillas. Even if we had to go 3 hours to get there. Uganda is such an interesting landscape with the different parts of nature. In the north is it like Africa, in the south like Switzerland. Wonderful. The climate is nice for Europeans. It is really the Pearl of Africa. The streets could be better. But after one day we got used to it. Our Lodges were good or very good an the food also. It was a perfect but too short holiday. Next time I will stay longer.

My partner and I joined our guide, Phennie, for the 5 day Gorilla/Chimpanzee tour.
We are seasoned travellers, and this experience sits right up there with some of the best we've had. Phennie's local knowledge, advanced animal spotting, and relaxed/flexible attitude made this trip feel complete. The Gorilla trekking was something we will never forget, a truly magical time spent with gentle giants and their infants. The trip also included safaris through Queen Victoria National Park/Ishasha, where we were lucky enough to see the famous tree lions and leopards, as well as an abundance of elephants, giraffes, zebras, birds, monkeys, etc.
A boat ride down the river with vast plentiful wildlife occupying the shoreline was a great way to see the animals in a different context. The chimpanzee trek to finish off the 5 days was spectacular and is worthy of a trip in itself.
The tour provided a range of options for accommodation. We chose the luxury option (the third highest tier out of four) and each place we stayed at was tasteful, and offered seriously spectacular views of the surrounding terrain.

I am so glad that I joined this trip. Everything is so wonderful. The guide were pretty nice and friendly to deal our every requirement. And they are so experienced to find those animal, get the best place to get photo for us. The chefs made many kinds of dish by limited food ingredients. I just recommended to everyone while I got back.

Definitely Namibia was different from everything that I’ve seen in my life. Sossusvlei it’s where I took the best pictures, and it was effortlessly. I just grabbed my phone, pointed to a landscape and then I had an awesome pic that impressed everybody back home!
I went in January during summer but the weather was not a issue. Just make sure to have a pool in your accommodation place and it’ll be perfect.
