Review about Ngorongoro Crater by Ivan VanDon
Overall rating
5/5

Oooooh,Ngorongoro we saw more than we expect. The place is very beauty especial around the crater it has the good view. We also saw a lion hunt a wildebeest live with our eyes.Ngorongoro has the best place for camping we do camp at Ngorongoro with our tents we have never experience that on my entire life. We also ranked that because we saw a massai with their cows within Ngorongoro area and they were not afraid of any dangerous animals. I have real enjoy camping within the park and some monkeys came at our tents.

The planning was well arranged. We had our chef called John who cooked for us a wonderful food with traditional varieties foods. Also our guide Dominic much respect to him because we disturb him allot but he was passion enough, he knows allot of things concerning wildlife and vegetation's, every vegetation which we asked him he tell us in detail. We expect to come back next year December 2018 and we will book with Rondo Dwarf you real know the value of customer satisfactions.

Trip of a Lifetime
5/5

My wife and I have just returned from the most memorable trip we have ever experienced.Travel For Change Africa's 7 day safari in Kenya was well organized and true value for money. We chose the semi luxury package. It provided us with comfortable accomodations like the world famous Treetops wher we looked out of our bedroom window at elephants, water buffaloes and many other animals and birds. All our meals were tasty and the staff were super attentive to our needs. What made our trip so special was that it was a private safari with a guidewho was passionate about his work. Martin ,our guide/driver went out of his way to make it the most amazing trip ever.He was good humoured and knowledgeable. We saw all of the Big Five animals and more, including cheetahs and leopards. We even saw a heron swallowing a snake, a hyena finishing off a water buffalo, a leopard dragging its kill up a tree and many other unforgettable sights. Thankyou Martin,Patricia,Eliud .
We have no hesitation in recommending your company to our friends and anyone who wants to experience a trip of a lifetime. We look forward to another trip to perhaps Tanzania next year.

Great communication and service
5/5

Really enjoyed our 3 day luxury safari in Samburu. Peter maintained good communication leading up to the trip. They were also able to accommodate a customization to the standard itinerary, which we appreciated. Our driver and guide, Edward, was very personable and shared a lot of good information about the animals. The lodging accommodations at Sarova Shaba were also quite good, with beautiful grounds overlooking the river and great service.

Best Safari experience ever
5/5

People working at Usambara Expeditions know what they do and how to do their work in the best way.
From the first e-mail to get in touch with them and along all the communications they were clear, available and fast in answering.
For our budget, they came up with many options which were all of the them the most convenient solutions when compared to other companies.
The service and the accommodation provided were exactly what we have been asking and the Safari tour itself, with an incredible skilled guide, was an unforgettable experience.
I will contact them again for my next Safari.

Excellent service and great wildlife
5/5

I was very pleased with the way the tour was organised and the extra support we received when the flight was delayed. We were happy that John was our driver as he went out of his way to give us the opportunity to get up close to the wildlife and to take some amazing photos. He was also great at spotting wildlife in the bush as well as being very friendly throughout the tour. The whole experience was above expectation. All the accommodation that was arranged for us was of high standards and staff at the camps were all very friendly and welcoming. The wildlife that we saw was awesome especially in the Masai Mara and we will remember this holiday for a very long time. I would definitely use Beacon Safaris for any future holiday.

Professional and personal service
5/5

Anna made all of the necessary arrangements for our 11 day safari in Tanzania. The communication was prompt, professional and informative.
Places visited - Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Lake Eyasi, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Arusha National Park.
James was our safari guide for the 11 days. He was professional, friendly, knowledgable, polite and spoke very good English.
Every aspect of our trip was 1st class. The places, the sights, the sounds, the people, the service.....it was an unforgettable experience.

I would whole heartedly recommend Lion King Adventures to anyone considering a safari. From 1st communication through to our flight home, we were looked after......in fact, we didn't stop smiling.

Thank you to Anna and James for making our Tanzanian experience a trip we will never forget. It was perfect!

Great budget experience
5/5

We did the 4 days/ 3 nights program and we are satisfied. At half the price that other operators were charging us, we had a great experience on seeing all the animals (and more) that we expected.

Geoffrey and his team were very fast on responding emails and very open about the tour standards and what to expect.
The service included not only the safari but also airport pickup, drop off and hotel before and after the safari. An amazing combo!
Hotel in Arusha: is ok. Comfortable but nothing fancy and it is located outside the center city but close to local markets and bus station. The staff is friendly and the food good. Arusha is just your initial base for the safari and there is not a lot to do so it is ok.
During the safari...
Staff: we had a driver/guide and a cook the entire time. Both super helpful and kind to our needs. Just make sure that you express to the driver what you want to see so he can look after it. We didn’t mention we wanted to see the flamingos close in manyara, so he didn’t take us and I only found out about afterwards. But he made sure that we saw over 35 lions, 5 cheetahs, 2 leopards, dozens of elephants and giraffes, thousands of zebras, wildebeests and impalas...
Car: a 4X4 confortable Jeep for 4 tourists. It looked very similar to the other cars we saw at other safaris once we were in the parks. You will spend 8 hours/day on these so be sure to have a comfortable seat in a comfortable car!
Accomodations: overall, if your focus is the animals Meru is a great option. If you are looking for luxury and 5-star facilities nop. Pick your priority!
The first night we were in a lovely camp outside Manyara. It had electricity, internet, cold beer, warm shower, beds and even a porch. The second night, we stayed at a very simple hotel inside the Serengeti. it also had electricity, no internet, cold beer but also cold shower. Despite its simplicity it was a great night of sleep and we got the chance to see hienas and impalas running around the facilities. The third night we were in a camp, sleeping in a tent with no luxuries at all at the rim of Ngorongoro. Cold shower in a very dirty bathroom. Your confort level here will depend on wether or not you have a good tent and sleeping bag (both of which are provided by the operator - in our case was ok. It fit my 6.3 ft boyfriend well :) bring warm clothing as it gets cold in be night. Despite these frugal environment, the camp had some zebras, buffalos and birds laying around and beautiful views on the crater...
Food: the cook does it best to please us under his budget and the items he brought to the car. A lot of food is served and you eat almost every 3-4 hours. You will eat eggs, crepe and toast for breakfast; for meals a variation of chicken, soup, potatoes, vegetables etc... everything greatly seasoned and adaptable to food restrictions. Simple but tasty! They don’t serve alcohol but you can bring with you or ask them to stop by somewhere and buy it.
Animals: you will see them. They are in the wild but they are many and the drivers talk among each other to make sure you see it all. They are there and independent of the operator you will see it so don’t worry about it and do not take the price tag as a direct reference to the amount of animals observed. Meru slopes was great with its budget option in providing us with memorable experiences!
