Andy was professional in his approach and very prompt in his resons time
4/5

I got a good and responsive service for booking the hotels. However, for booking at Sun city, I wasn't informed that the swimming pool was under renovation. I chose this expensive hotel over others in Sun city mainly to have a quieter and cleanet private pool. Also for the booking at Mjejane river lodge. I wasnt informed that we would have to pay additional charges for entry to Kruger Park at R250pp. We paid R1000 additionally. Also the transparency was not clear in the billing for Mjejane boarding and transport costs.

Helpful, trustworthy and reliable operator
5/5

My wife and I had a very good time in Kenya with Savannah Sound Safari and our guide, Julius. Julius was very experienced safari tour guide and always made us felt like we are in good hands. He was punctual, helpful and friendly for all matters. Even when we wanted to do an impromptu campfire and bbq at Lake Naivaisha for the fun of it, he helped us purchase firewood and some corn. When it came to safari game drives, he always tried his best to make sure we get to see the major attractions.

Danson (the lead guide of Savannah Sound Safari) was also very proactive in ensuring that we have a good time, always getting our feedback and checking out our accommodations beforehand. The only issue we had was with the email communication in the run-up to our trip during the peak season, as they get quite busy and sometimes were not able to reply emails promptly. This gave us some worries initially but there was no need to worry in the end.

All in all, my wife and I had an amazing time in Kenya, a beautiful country with wonderful people and breathtaking sights and animals. And it is largely down to the hospitality of Danson, Julius and their team at Savannah Sound Safaris.

Excellent 6D5N Safari on the classic circuit (Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro)!
5/5

We picked Meru Slopes for our 6 days, 5 nights (budget) Safari in Tanzania and were super satisfied! Communication with Geofrey is very easy and fast, he accommodated all our changes and answered all our questions. No hidden fees. Plus, there is a free extra night at the Arusha Tourist Inn at the start and the end of the tour and pick up and drop off at the airport included, so it is completely hassle-free!
Our guide Benson and our cook Richard were excellent, never pushy or stressful, and always up for just that little bit extra that makes your safari perfect! We saw everything except Rhinos, and it was an amazing experience! Food was great and plentiful! The stop at a Maasai village is completely optional, and you don't have to do it if your group decides against it. We were also pleasantly surprised by the budget campsites in Serengeti (Pimbi Camp) and at the Crater (Simba Camp) - the bathroom facilities were cleaned once a day.

I highly recommend going with Meru Slopes, everything was beyond our expectations! Do bring a little bit of toilet paper and wet wipes for the dust and don't forget binoculars! Thanks to Geofrey, Ben and Richard for making our trip so memorable!

We had a blast...! A class act by African Welcome.
5/5

Once my wife and I decided on South Africa for our honeymoon, I checked online for well-reviewed operators and quickly settled on African Welcome Safaris. Kathi was very responsive to my emails and queries.

Having shared my budget, a proposed itinerary and accommodation options was expediently provided. Kathi responded quickly to my request for alternative accommodation options. Fast forward and we had a wonderful time doing our self-driving tour through Cape Town and Franschhoek, followed by our safari experience at Simbavati Hillltop Lodge. We really had a blast throughout the entirety of our trip and everything went smoothly without a hitch. Would be happy to engage them again for future trips...!

Review about Serengeti National Park by Gary Ellwood
Overall rating
5/5

This is THE park, the place to go to see the real life scenes that you've always imagined. Lions, elephants, cape buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelope, all just yards away. You fill your days searching for leopards in trees, cheetahs in the tall grass, wildebeest on the move, hippos in their pools . The anticipation as you drive of what's around the next turn pulls you through the 10 hour day, which always seemed to end to soon. This is the park your dreams live in.

Review about Ngorongoro Crater by Gary Ellwood
Overall rating
5/5

This sanctuary of wildlife is untouched my much of modern man's hands. You can experience natural Africa as it has existed for centuries. It is quiet, serene, a true window on the African circle of life. No shops, no people, no footprints. Just wildlife like it is without us intruding. Even the very early drive in to the crater took us through 20 minutes of mist and fog, to emerge in this magical cauldron. The images live in my mind still …

Review about Lake Manyara National Park by Gary Ellwood
Overall rating
4/5

Lake Manyara was our first game drive on our visit. We saw elephants, baboons, wildebeest, warthogs, zebras, and giraffes, all in our first 2 hours of being there. It was a great introduction to our week long safari. Make a point of stopping at the cultural center a couple miles outside the park. Local crafts by local artisans. great gifts, and a good way so support the local folks.

About: Tanzania
Everything we had hoped for. All the animals, and the overwhelming beauty that is the Serenegeti.
Overall rating
5/5

Visiting the Serengeti evokes dreams of animals everywhere, close up experiences with them, big orange sunsets over vast plains, and the lasting memories that play in one's mind forever. Our trip there was all these things and more. Yes, we saw the big 5 twice over, with a close proximity that was astounding. We have come home with all the photos we dreamed of. I will admit, the drive across the high desert to the Serengeti was a bit rough, but it is Africa.
Four things stand out, if you are considering this adventure. The accommodations and meals were beyond excellent. The time spent with the Masai people was soul stirring. The simple beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater was stunning; a singular place of beauty in this world. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, was our guide, James Saituti. A modern masia, James was so very knowledgeable about all the animals we saw. He knew the terrain well, and put us in all the right spots to see everything. Indeed, more than most of the other travelers we met. We sat in the middle of the Wildebeest migration, and saw a cheetah make a kill. He took care of us like were family. Our suggestion is simple: hire Shadows of Africa, request James, and have the time of your life.
