Perfect
5/5

We choose Kanje Grand Tours for our first safari trip in Tanzania and Zanzibar and we are absolutely happy about the full experience (from the booking assistance until the end of trip). Everything went as planned in the programme, all the accommodations were perfect, the safari guide was very experienced and he did his best to ensure us an unforgettable adventure. Definitely I’d recommend this agency to organize an amazing trip.

Reliable tour operator for a safari trip
5/5

What we booked: 10-day shared safari trip with mid-range accommodation (we were two people)
Communication: Salimu was my main point of contact from the start, he provided detailed itinerary and details on all accomodations. We have not seen him after the first day, but he was accessible via Whatsapp and responded very quickly to any questions. Friendly, good English, straightforward communication, he even gifted us a cake for our honeymoon! On the downside, I had to chase him daily to get the time to start and other details for the next day, and he told us a wrong time of pick up for the first day (6.30am instead of 8.30am) meaning that we didn't get enough of much needed rest after a long flight. Other people were guides and drivers, mostly outsourced because it was a 'shared' trip, some better than the others but ok on average.
Service: A couple of times we started safari rather late in the morning (11am), giving us lower chance to see animals, and it was mainly because of bad organization around provisions of water, lunch food and other supplies. Also the driver/guide for the main parks was not much talkative so 'guiding' part of his job was definitely weak. Otherwise the service was as expected.
Tour itself: we happened to visit Serengeti right after a storm and experienced a fair amount of rain in general. Spotting animals in lush green and after rain is harder and we ended up not seeing lepards and a rhino only far away, which is unfortunate, but somewhat expected with the season. We saw a cheetah, plenty of lions, elephants and other animals which was nice. The large parks are touristy even during the wet season, so expect multiple jeeps lined up to observe one anamal - you get a feeling of a zoo, only that the cages are not there. We had the last few days of 'cultural' safari where we visited different tribes to observe their way of life - this was my favorite part! It felt way less touristy and rather authentic, we also had a couple of good guides for those days who were knowledgeable and with the bachground from those tribes, so we could learn a lot.

Overall well organized with a highly motivated team without which we couldn't have reached summit!
5/5

It was an overall great experience. Our guides, the cooks and actually the entire support team did their best to makes us feel comfortable and as at home as possible. We were a bit unlucky and had rain almost every day, but somehow the team from Serengeti Tours managed too keep our tents almost dry, they even dug trenches around our tent each time. When we noticed a leak, they were quick to fix the problem.
The food was diverse and more than plenty :) when we had troubles due to the altitude, we could always count on our guides to help us. Whether with medicine, by easing our backpacks or with a few anecdotes to lift our spirits.

Only downside for us: we reached the summit a bit too early and had to leave because of the cold before sunrise. However, the sunrise at Stella Point was still amazing and this was really the only thing, which wasn't perfect.

On the ride home the guys sang in the bus and it was such a great mood. One of our hightlights on the trip :)

As an advice to anybody reading so far: Consider renting your private toilet, we didn't have it, but we often wished for it^^

Our Seventh Safari with KETS
5/5

We always use KETS when visiting our Sheldrick elephant orphans. KETS provides reliable service to the Sheldrick Centers at Umani, Ithumba, Nairobi, and Voi. As we need to bring our own food, the driver helps us shop at the Emali food stalls.
Paul Mwendwa, KETS owner, is a trustworthy and honorable gentleman. He always provides a competitive quote. We highly recommend KETS, especially for Sheldrick patrons.

About: Tanzania
The most spectacular and breathtaking place on earth.

The people of Tanzania are kind, beautiful, patient. I believe they have a lot of experience with tourists, and it shows in their welcoming nature and preparedness. The towns and cities are clean and well taken care of, and it feels like every person is a gentleman with how they carry themselves. I went to Tanzania for the safaris, and even though I was only in the national parks for 4.5 days, it was the experience of a lifetime. We saw so many animals and beautiful landscapes, and our tour guides were very informative and never made us feel unsafe. It was clear how well every safari guide was adhering to safety and environmental regulations, and how they would go above and beyond to make sure we got the most out of our short stay. I also was in Zanzibar for two days with family, and I think it was stunning, truly the best ocean experience of my life. Never before have I seen a beach so clear and beautiful,

Highly responsive and trustworthy
5/5

If I compare this company with other safaries which I have an experience (2 other), this is definitely the best. Main reasons: good and fast communication, time responsibility and reliability
Really great experience. The Masai Mara was amazing and also the Lake Nakuru. Saw all the big 5 which was incredible.

Our driver and guide, Joe, was fantastic. His animals spotting skills were second to none.

Akoms Safaris is good in keeping and delivering promises.

Wonderful Ngorongoro adventure
5/5

I booked this tour on the last moment, the day before departure. I usually prefer private tour but because private was expensive on this I opted for group. The driver and guide Manfred was an excellent, prompt and knowledgeable. I was able to see a lot of animals in Ngorongoro and the crater itself is mesmerizing, breathtaking and sooo beautiful to watch.

The only downside of the trip were European tourists who made tour difficult. In my observation in traveling to Safari in Africa I realized that Europeans don't know how to properly travel to Africa, how to do Safari and more. I just want to remind tourists from European Union that when you book group tour it's a group tour not your private tour. When you ask driver to drop you elsewhere after tour be mindful about other travelers and don't make them wait for you. Stop relying on your GPS and let local driver handle it. Don't assume that if driver drops you somewhere in the middle of nowhere he has obligation to pick you up next day and take you to the airport because you did not pay for that service and nobody obligated to do anything for you unless you pay for what you want to do. Group tour is group of people from different countries and their time is also valuable. If you want private tour pay for it. On this note, tourists from European Union need to learn more about traveling to Africa not just buying ticket and think they going to the wild.

Professional, helpful company.
5/5

We booked a last minute trip with Msangai and were not disappointed. The booking staff in Tanzania were prompt and helpful. We took a 5 day safari and visited Tarangire, Ngorongoro reserve and crater, 2 days in Serangeti and Manyara Lake. The itinerary was very well planned to spread sights in between long drives. Our driver Emmanuel was great. Prompt, helpful, personable. Spoke excellent English and able to joke with us. He was very knowledgeable and tried extremely hard to find all the animals. He made sure we saw all the big 5. All the accommodation was good . I also think the 5 day trip was good value for what we paid . We had an amazing time.
