Bigmac Africa Safaris offers a very good value for money. Our itinerary was well arranged, the accommodation adequate and communication with the office smooth. Magdalene from Bigmac responded to all our queries quickly and arranged a safari with their sister company in Tanzania for us as well. She also regularly checked during the trip if everything was going well. Ben was the nicest and most polite guide you could wish for. A very good driver and an experienced and knowledgeable guide, he knew where to find the animals and where to stop to take the best picture. We can only recommend this company!

My partner and I booked a 7 day trip with Soul - 4 days safari (Tarangerie, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) and 3 days Zanzibar. It was the trip of a life time! It was a seamless experience booking and touring with Soul.

Sandy was brilliant at creating an itinerary to suit our needs and budget, always responsive and efficient.

When it came to the trip, it was everything we hoped for and more. Our guide, Freddie was brilliant - very knowledgable about the wildlife and always on hand to make our trip as enjoyable as possible.

We absolutely loved the safari - we saw all the wildlife we wanted to (lions, cheetahs, leopards etc). Each park had its own character but we’re equally beautiful. The only downside to doing three parks in four days is that it is a lot of driving however there’s always something to look at out the window so this wasn’t an issue.

Our accommodation on safari was better than expected - comfortable beds, good food and no bugs! We especially loved staying in Pumzika lodge as it’s situated in the middle of the Serengeti so you’re surrounded by wildlife.

We also had a very tasty picnic each day - all the other tours had lunch boxes whereas we had curries with rice. You certainly won’t go hungry on these tours!

The final leg of our trip was Zanzibar - relaxing on the beach for two days is highly recommended after 4 busy days of safari! We stayed in Z Hotel which was brilliant - whilst far from Stone Town, it was tranquil with a gorgeous beach to catch some rays.

Overall, I could not recommend Soul of Tanzania more.

Trip of a Lifetime to see the Mountain Gorillas!
5/5

Encounter Africa Safaris offered incredible service on our trip to see the mountain gorillas (A 3 day tour, departing from Kigali, Rwanda, to Bwindi National Forest in Uganda). We arrived after midnight in Kigali and our guide Jason was there to greet us with a smile. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, always on time, and catering to our every need. We so enjoyed our conversations about East Africa, its wildlife, and culture. The gorilla trek was well organized and--in a word--breathtaking. You get to spend an hour with the gorillas and it's an experience you won't forget. The silverback took a liking to our group, and the rest of the family followed--the babies swinging around us and others walking right through our group! Lodging was fantastic (at the scenic and well-maintained Bukiga Lodge, which uses part of its proceeds to install water tanks in the local community), the food was excellent, and I only wish I could do it all over again. Five stars for Encounter Africa Safaris!

Fantastic overall experience! Highly recommend for a stress free safari!
5/5

I contacted Felix last minute about booking a safari. Right off the bat he was super responsive and honest upfront. Was very clear to me that providing a good experience to his customers is the most important thing for him! He was happy to answer my questions about the logistics of the trip, which he takes care of, end to end. All I had to do was approve his recommendations, and show up in Nairobi. Everything else was arranged by Felix and included in the price. And I mean everything. From being picked up at the airport, to transportation within Nairobi, to flights to Masai, even park fees were included! I stayed at the Mara Engai lodge, which I also highly recommend. If you're looking to book a safari, go with Felix for the best price, and a seamless experience.

Exceeded our Expectations! Fantastic Tour of Kenya/Tanzania
5/5

I highly recommend African Sunset Safaris, a fabulous tour outfit that far exceeded our expectations. Owner & Manager Haron was excellent with communications and very helpful during the tour. He customized for us a 13 day safari in Kenya/Tanzania during the Great Migration. The lodging was tremendous, and our guides -- Julius and Lazaro -- were incredibly experienced, professional, and knowledgeable. We so enjoyed our conversations with them over (exceptional) meals about life in East Africa and the region's many natural splendors. We saw the Big 5. We saw gorgeous birds, baobob trees in Tarangire, stunning sunsets, watering holes of crocodiles and hippos, and huge herds of elephants. Julius and Lazaro were respectful of the wildlife, mostly avoiding the big scrums of tour vehicles while still getting us up close and personal with the animals -- resulting in incredible photographs. If you want to see lions stalking their prey on the foothills of Kilamanjaro, rare rhinos in Nakuru, leopards, cheetahs, vibrant flocks of flamingos, and humongous herds of wildebeest, go with African Sunset Safaris!

Excellent 1 day / 2 nights Selous Safari
5/5

We had an excellent time during this safari trip. Lenard picked us up at our accommodation in Dar Es Salaam and drove us to Selous. Firstly, we felt very safe in the car; he asked us to let him know if everything was ok and not to hesitate to tell him to adapt his driving!
When we arrived at Ngalawa Camp we had a hour to relax and settle in our bungalow before heading off on a boat safari to see hippos and crocodiles. Lenard lent us his binoculars which was awesome because we got to see so much ! The next day we did a safari drive in the game reserve and the first thing we saw was an elephant crossing the road in front of us ! The drive was excellent, Lenard brought us to great places to see all kinds of animals, was super attentive and always on the look out, and answered all our questions. We had such a great time ! The next morning we woke up early and did a morning bush walk with an amazing guide and an armed ranger and got to see a whole family of elephants cross in front of us ! After that Lenard drove us back to Dar and even helped us sort out our ferry tickets to Zanzibar. He was incredibly knowledgeable and was patient, kind and accommodating throughout the whole trip. We definitely recommend him !

Fantastic trip with excellent organisation, accommodation and experiences.
5/5

The safari experience with African Ubuntu absolutely lived up to all expectations. The organisation was brilliant in every detail. Whilst the accommodation differed at the 4 safari camps we visited, all locations were excellent, with friendly helpful staff right throughout the camps, from the extremely knowledgeable and interesting guides to efficient hospitality and housekeeping, who all went out of their way to contribute to a special experience. The 4 camps we visited each offered something special as far as the environment and the wildlife were concerned, resulting in an amazing overall experience.

8 day Uganda tour - To perfection
5/5

We did the 8 day safari (Budget lodging) in Uganda covering Kibale forest national park, Queen Elizabeth NP, lake Bunyoni and Bwindi impenetrable NP - And all the magic in between!

It was an amazing experience right from the start to the very end.

We were supposed to start on Entebbe, but since we were already in Kampala visiting some friends we asked Matoke tours if we could get picked up there instead, and it was no problem at all, the company is flexible and overall service in regards to planning and organizing was superb and fast.

We thought we would be stowed in a vehicle with 6+ otger people, but instead we were the only ones in the vehicle for the whole trip, which made it that much more intimate - But if you are traveling alone and want a safari in order to meet fellow travelers you should make sure that you ask matoke for that preference, I am sure they will be able to help out there too!

Our trip went from amazing to perfect because of our guide 'Mike' who was also our driver, mechanic, zoologist, food connoisseur and culture specialist on our trip, this guy really made our trip an unforgettable experience - If you book your tour you should ask to get Mike as your driver if possible, you won't regret it :-D

On the way back from Bwindi we asked if we could make a stop at Lake Mburu NP (For the zebras there), Mike just said sure thing and got us to where the zebras were even without entering the actual park (Thus saving us the money for the permits!), again very chill and flexible like the whole journey.

As to what we saw in the parks, the nature in between, and to seeing the gorillas... I don't want to write how it was because I want you to see it for yourself - Just go already, it's worth all the money times two, plus a good chunk of the permit price really goes to the small communities just outside the parks, by buying a permit and by visiting Uganda you actually help not only to feedthe families but also prevent poaching and help secure the animals.

Book a trip, you won't regret it, and you will want to go back!

10/10 stars for Matoke Tours!
