A true unforgettable experience! 6 days Amboseli, Nakuru, Masai Mara
5/5

We decided to have a 6 days safari in Kenya (Amboseli, Nakuru Lake and Masai Mara) after a first experience last year in Kruger Park, South Africa. It was only one day, but it was really good as we spotted all the big 5 and we enjoyed the trip very much, so our expectations for Kenya were very high.
I have to say that James and Geffrey (our guide) not only met those expectations, they outclassed them!
First of all, communication during the trip planning was always very good: James replied to all our emails within few hours in a very kind and thorough manner (and believe me, as we were 4 couples travelling together, we asked lots and lots of questions!). Geffrey too made sure that our curiosity for things that we saw around us was always satisfied. And we've seen the lot: all the big 5 and more, this time within a couple of meters from our 4x4 jeep!
Geffrey professionality and personal connections really contributed to add value to our experience, making it really unique. Just to mention one: instead of having breakfast at the lodge one morning in Masai Mara, he helped us to arranged with the camp chef a special boxed breakfast, that we consumed later on in the middle of the savana, sit in the open, with elephants walking not too far around you...OMG!!!!!
All the camps and lodges offered in the package were clean and comfortable, with a good food selection, swimming pool, wifi, etc.
Our 4x4 jeep was comfortable enough for 8 people even during the long driving hours from a park to the other.
We never felt that the price offered for the package was eccesive or inadeguate, on the contrary everybody was fully satisfied by the deal and happy to pay for it.
The only downside was that we missed the big migration as we visited Masai Mara in the wrong season, February.....so we left the country with the desire to visit the park another time, and, if we will have the opportunity to do so, we will be more than happy to book with Alliance Destination again. Why? Because they are true to their company motto: "creating memories", amazing ones! Thank you

A Well Organised amazing experience of a lifetime!!
5/5

First of all I would like to thank Levis for his time and efforts in organising and amazing trip. Everything was done via email but Levis made it all very simple, with quick responses. He customised a tour to suit our needs, dates and what we wanted to see.

We visited 3 countries, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda over 16 days. We managed to see the big 5 several times over. In total we saw over 100 Lions, 8 Cheetahs, 2 Leopards, 4 Rhinos, a Family of 30 Mountain Gorilla's, and countless other magnificent animals and wildlife.

Our guides in All 3 countries were amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable, especially our guide Fred (who was a standout) we had during our time in Tanzania. The accommodation we had, from the tented camps to the lodges were all very good and of a high standard.

We highly recommend Hallmark Travel Planners and would definitely use again.

Review about Tarangire National Park by nicole_reigelman

Tarangire is home of the storied baobab trees, and they are amazing. The park also had an incredible amount of elephants; I'd estimate that we saw hundreds. Also, which termite mounds may not seem exciting, there was a part of the park that had a field full of them; all several feet high. It wasn't something I could capture in a photo. WE also saw wildebeest, giraffes, lions, and plenty of zebras to highlight a few. We stayed at one lodge (Sopa), but had lunch at another and both were delightful: serene, clean, with good cuisine.

Lake Manyara seemed smaller to me than other parks, but had a wealth of birds and other wildlife, especially monkeys and baboons. I was there on an overcast and windy day which made for a different and fantastic experience.

Amazing diversity of wildlife; more lions than I've seen at any other park in Africa.

We spent one day in Ngorongoro Crater. The drive up to the top of the Crater alone was amazing. We were traveling with Ranger Safaris, and we were very confident in our guide's ability and knowledge. We stayed at the Sopa lodge, apparently one of only three on the Crater's rim. Service and food were fantastic, and wildlife wandered right up to the sun porch on the back of our room. Weather changed throughout the day, which made for a great experience. I've been on over a dozen game drives, and would say the standouts at the Crater were seeing a pride of 12 or more lions, a pond full of hippos who were rolling over in the water, and hundreds of zebras. What a day! Highly recommended part of any trip to Tanzania.

We recently had the unique opportunity to visit the Ngorongoro Crater during a Safari arranged by Road Scholar. It is a phenomenal destination and must see to anyone visiting East Africa. During our trip we toured Amboseli National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Carter, Serengti and Masai Mara. The highlight was the base of Ngorongoro Crater with its large variety of animals and birds that inhabit the Conservation area around Lake Magadi. We were able to easily view and photograph from close range elephant, cape buffalo, rhino, wildebeast, ostrich, zebra, topi, eland, warthog, gazelle, waterbuck, jackal, grey crowned stork, tawny eagle, black-sholdered kite, sacred ibis, weaver bird, kori and Hartlaub's Bustard, and many other birds. In the evening we enjoyed excellent entertainment and dinner at the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge on the Crater rim. We highly recommend this facility for its rooms, views and superb food. Our guide was Edwin Nyabuto. He was the best possible guide in every aspect (knowledgeable, articulate, patient, helpful, caring of all participants)
