Mt Kenya - conquering the climb, having fun and enjoying the landscape
4/5

The communication was ok, we had lots of emails in advance of our trip.
The first day there was some confusion about our accommodation, which was different to the emails, but this was sorted out quickly.
The tour itself was great and the team of cooks and Porter's led by assistant guide Jonathan were great. We were never hungry and our 15 yr old nephew had a blast. The team looked after us well and treated us like family.

Amazing experience with great guide
5/5

We went for a custom private trip. Starting from Durban, with day trip to Lesotho, then onward to St Lucia, up through Swaziland (now Eswatini) (staying at Mlilwane Game Reserve) to Kruger NP (staying at Crocodile Bridge and Lower Sabie Rest Camps). Ant was our guide and driver and was fantastic all the way. Everything was well organised and planned, including breakfast and evening Braais. The accommodation was perfect for what we wanted, a mixture of guest house, tented and traditional beehive-style, both en-suite and communual facilities. Ant also worked to get the best possible location for the tented accommodation, which paid dividend by having hyenas and rhinos just meters away. The tour was done at the pace we wanted. As both my wife and I are avid wildlife photographers, there was no problem with just sitting by a waterhole for as long as we wanted to, sitting back and watching leopards and lions rest for a few hours, or driving down random back roads through Kruger. The wildlife did not disappoint with sightings of all the big 5, most fairly close-up! It's clear that both Ant and the other guides at EST have enormous respect for the wildlife and landscape, they do look after you well, but they also look after their own country. With years of experience they understand how the animals may react, and put you in the best (and safest) possible position for both you and the animals. If something wasn't right, or the animal was agitated (usually by too many other tour groups crowding the animal), Ant made the decision to move on and leave it be. Could not have asked for a better guide or company to travel with. The only disappointment was that we couldn't stay for longer. Eagerly waiting to go back!

Fantastic Family Trip
5/5

We were very skeptical travelling to Kenya and then Kenya to Tanzania by road. We relied completely on Uhuru and made the full payment in advance. Frankly, they exceeded our expectation in terms of the hotels and jungle camp the booked, the long but not so exhaustive trips to sight animals, and lovely lunch boxes to supplement the outings. We did, 10days of continuous trips for 8 to 12hrs, but it was memorable. The team went out of their way to sight animals. Overall a brilliant tour and lively memories. I would highly recommend Uhuru for your holidays in Kenya and Tanzania

They have the best wildebeest safaris
5/5

This place is amazing!!! They have animals of all sorts that are allowed to wander freely through the park. Visitors drive through the park and have up-close encounters with all the animals. They have a great Wildebeest Safaris.

Experience and memories that will last a lifetime. Best company.
5/5

We are a couple who went on a 6 day safari with Zohar. We found Zohar on this site and was one of about 5 we had narrowed down to. After communicating with zohar, we were sure we wanted to go with this company. Zohar was great with communication from day one. It took us several weeks to finalize our plans and Zohar was caring and thoughtful in helping us finalize our plans. We asked lots of questions and they always answered them thoroughly. They helped us put together the absolute best itinerary and worked with our budget to make our dream come true. Communication with Zohar was excellent during the planning process and throughout the safari. The service on safari was amazing. We loved all of our accommodations on safari. They were all memorable and I don't know how anything with the accommodations could be improved. All comfortable and beautiful. Food was always top notch. The safari Land Cruiser was absolutely awesome!! We had a blast riding in that thing. Our guide, Solomon, was the best guide. We could not have had a better fit for us. He was so knowledgeable about the areas we visited, the animals, and he is an excellent driver in all conditions. We had 100% confidence in his driving abilities and it was clear that he was very experienced in the rough terrain. We felt safe with Solomon and we learned so much about the animals and the areas we visited. We shared a lot of laughs and will always remember him. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary with this amazing trip and Zohar went above and beyond to make us feel so special. They provided experiences that we will always remember. The lunches on safari were the best. Everyone on other safaris would be having a lunch box, but with Zohar, we had the best meals with a table setting and excellent food. Very memorable and this is one thing Zohar does to set themselves apart from other companies. Plenty of water provided in the LandCruiser's refrigerator. I drink a lot of water daily and we never ran low. We saw the big 5 on our trip. Of course this is never a guarantee and we weren't promised anything like that, but I just want to put out there that we did see all of the big 5. We were able to visit Tarangere, Ngorongoro, Lake Eyasi, and of course we went to the Serengeti. We covered a lot of ground on this trip. We were absolutely in the best hands. I would use Zohar again and again and I highly recommend them. Thank you Zohar.

Best once in a lifetime safari experience!
5/5

From start to finish, this was an amazing experience. I was recommended Soul of Tanzania by a friend and am so glad I used them. It was a once in a lifetime "escape" from the responsibilities of family life, as my best friend & I headed to Tanzania for a girls trip!! From the numerous emails sent to Helena (who always responded so quickly & positively) to being picked up at the airport, everything went so smoothly.
We travelled to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater.
Our accomodation was great - clean rooms and great food. We tried a variety of different options from camps to fancy lodges which was a great way to travel.
The actual safari was everything I had hoped for - Zamo was our guide and I cannot say enough great things about him. He knew so much about his beautiful country, was fun to be around, and made us feel so welcome. He had eagle eyes, and spotted animals which I could barely find with binoculars! He also had an ability to read what the animals were likely to do so we found ourselves in prime viewing position the majority of the time. Highlight was seeing the leopard & her cub 3 consecutive days and watching a family of elephants head down to a water hole!!
The safari vehicle was super clean & comfortable - plenty of water available always. And the hot lunches (with wine if you liked!) definitely added to the experience.
I cannot recommend Soul of Tanzania more highly - and hope to return one day soon with my husband & children!

No problems whatsoever!
5/5

Diana was a dream to work with. We communicated by email and she was always prompt with her responses. She was also great about taking into account our dietary restrictions (Vegetarian) and make sure all of the lodges accommodated our diets.

Daniel was our driver for the entire duration - from picking us up at the airport to dropping us off at the airport. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and was always driving us to the areas where the animals were spotted. He is also very friendly and made sure we had everything taken care of without any problems. We saw a lot of animals and Daniel was patient and let us take as much time as we needed to view the animals.

I highly recommend Schon Kenya.

TAILOR MADE HOLIDAY TO BOTSWANA, NAMIBIA, ZIMBABWE, and MOZAMBIQUE
5/5

Pom Pom Camp (Botswana) was our favourite. Guides, accommodation and meals were exceptional. A vast array of animals to view considering that the Okavango Delta in suffering from drought conditions.

Chobe River Princess: Highly organised. Comfortable accommodation and amazing 5*restaurant meals and service. This was relaxing time for us

Bayete Guest Lodge (Victoria Falls): Great ambiance. Meals and service excellent. The Lodge was running on generator power due to Government load shedding of their power supply. No complaints as this was out of their control. We walked through the Victoria Falls National Park viewing points as well as the historical Victoria Falls Hotel. We also did a quick flight over the falls which gave us a great perspective of The Falls from above

Elephant Express Train: Most enjoyable way to travel to our Bomani Tented Lodge

Bomani Tented Lodge: Great accommodation, Guides, Staff and especially the manager Karen who went out of her way to make us all feel at home.
Meals here was exceptional as well. There wasn't so much a variety of animals at this camp as at Pom Pom. We did have up close encounter with the Elephants drinking at the watering holes from inside the viewing hide. We visited the Nagamo Primary school here which was a highlight for us

Bahia Mar: (Vilanculos): We had a nice relaxing time here. Amazing accommodation with a beautiful view of the waterfront. Meals and service were fantastic.
We did a day trip out to one of the islands on a Dhow boat. I joined some locals of a 'Beach Clean Up' walk which was rewarding

Thank you Jonathan for your expertise in organizing our Southern African adventure

Absolutely Amazing!
5/5

From the beginning we had great communication fromKhalanga safaris helping us to organise our trip. The suggestions of which camps to stay in to best suit our dates and get the best value of animals was much appreciated. Shoes picked us up in Hazyview and we just had the best trip with him for 5 days through Kruger Park. He was a fabulous guide, who is a true local, so he just knew it backwards. We saw many animals every day, and in particular, the big 5 in one day which was just awesome! Lots of laugh and lots of fun and adventure made the trip just so much better. Shoes is also an awesome cook and we shared a great braai. We got up close and personal with so many animals every day that it was an experience we will never forget.
