Met all expectations and even more
Booked 3 days/2 nights tour in Selous Ngawa Camp. Booking manager Donatus was very helpful and customer oriented. The company provided a spacious jeep with lifted roof, which made it very comfortable for observing the environments and to take excellent pictures. The driver Michael, who accompanied us all three days, did his best to show us all sites and habitats of the Selous Game Reserve during 8,5 hours drive. As a result we met nearly all animals available in this area. River trip by boat on the first day has its charm despite the rain, which nevertheless was a value added to the venture (one should be aware that in case of rain it may be a bit could and windy in the boat, so wind jacket would be preferable). Walking on the fields on the last day was also remarkable, as we managed to see deers and some other creatures very near, and our local guide has given interesting info about flora and fauna around.
Ngawa camp provided nice bungalows, rather basic, but comfortable enough with private shower and terrace. Local restaurant was very tasty offering nice choice of meals (breakfast, lunch and donner) served in outer space with a buitiful view of the african plain and picturesque sunset.

10/10, Amazing Experience I will never forget!
The driver who picked us up was incredibly knowledgable and gave an amazing start even prior to entering the park. I was given vast knowledge about the area, the animals, and the experience that fueled my imagination.
Entering the lodge, it was like straight out of a dream. Very friendly staff, rooms that are air conditioned, and within view to giraffes, warthogs, baboons, and elephants that would be in the vicinity (but never enter the grounds).
The safari drives themselves were incredible. Every driver had a vast amount of knowledge on every bit of animals and flora we saw. Within the first drive I saw all the animals that I came to see, and pretty close!
By the end of the trip I was already planning on returning!
Thank you Janine who made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. 10/10 would return again.

Super safari
My boyfriend and I went on a safari in Selous game reserve. It was a fly in safari from Zanzibar and all transports to and from the airport in Zanzibar were included. Everything was perfectly organized, from the transfers to the safari itself and very well managed. Our guide Nico was very professional and thanks to his knowledge of the place and experience we were able to see countless animals.
We already recommended Tomodachi to a friend visiting Tanzania and will certainly keep in touch for future trips there.

Very well organized 5 day Safari, from our pickup at the hotel in Nairobi to our return to Airport.
I had a wonderful experience. Our driver, George was prompt, knowledgeable, friendly and one hell of a driver. Several times we found ourselves in badly flooded areas and he got us through, he was amazing.
We travelled to Tsavo East, Tsavo West and Amboseli Parks. The change in scenery was spectacular and the clouds did give way briefly for view of Mount Kilimanjaro. We saw and photographed a wide range of animals and so pleased to see the great herds of elephants.
The lodges ranged from modest to luxury all having excellent staff, food, rooms, and the views were outstanding.

A life time experience at Mashatu with the Legends
In November 2019 I had Joined the Legend Safari team on a photo safari at the Mashatu game reserve in Botswana. The entire process from the initial contacting up to an including the entire safari was an absolute breeze. The team was so professional in everything that they did right down to linking me up with their suppliers to score special rates for equipment hire on their strength.
I had not met any of them until the beginning of our safari but their constant contact with us on a regular basis helped to break the ice and it felt as if we had known eachother since forever.
The accommodation, meals, safaris, guiding, photo guiding and everything in between was just perfect. They are a team that is very knowledgeable and experienced in their field and are always on hand to help along the way to make your trip a comfortable and memorable experience while assisitng and guiding you throughout the safais to ensure that you are able to capture those breathtaking moments perfectly.
I would highly recommend anyone that loves the African bush or would like to explore it, to seriously consider joining Shaheen and his amazing team at Legend Safaris. YOU WILL NOT REGRET!!

Once in a lifetime experience
From the day we booked the safari to the day we were dropped back at our hotel in Nairobi everything went smoothly.
Albert, Our driver and guide did an amazing job finding all the big 5 and managing the treacherous tracks and roads. My girlfriend and I also really enjoyed the company of our fellow travelers.
If you haven’t been to Africa and you haven’t been on a safari do yourself a favor and book the 3 day safari in Masai Mara + lake Nakuru. I know I will remember this for the rest of my life.

Our guide Erastus was able to get us in front of pretty all animals we wanted to see; lot’s of communication going on all the time on the radio between the guides.
The road trip (specifically Masai Mara to Nairobi is NOT recommendable - super lousy roads so it takes ages and has no value - take a plane)

Extremely trustworthy, comprehensive experience
On site tour guides drove our family all throughout the country and were very reliable and helpful in negotiating the details of our experiences. Separate from the guide, the company also set up a Whatsapp discussion group with the owner and office staff in case we had any further questions or problems that they could Manage in real time. The only real problem we had was one of the hotels had our family booked in the wrong room type despite the company confirming previously but with a whatsapp message and our local guide intervening, it was fixed immediately. overall I would recommend them as a very reliable domestic based company in SA for a privately guided group trip (which will save an enormous amount of $ over the US & UK based companies).
