We came the the Serengeti National Park straight after the Ngorongoro Crater and watched the wildebeest migration. We were even treated to watch a Hyena take down a fully grown Wildebeest and Lions take down a Zebra.

Our trip was organized through &beyond and all aspects were well taken care of including a friendly staff, excellent accommodations including fine food and beverages and quality, educated and friendly guides. Our group consisted of 2 birders and 2 non-birders and each of our guides adjusted their style accordingly, somewhat satisfying the birders and more than satisfying the non-birders. As a birder myself I found the guides to be very knowledgeable but not quite on the cutting edge of birding as several different guides did make a few misidentifications of species. I certainly didn't hold this against any of them as their area of expertise is more general in nature. We stayed at Klein's Camp and Grumeti and supremely enjoyed both areas. Transportation by air was on time, dependable and with confident, friendly and skilled pilots. We arrived right after a good period of rain and had sunny days and a very green and verdant Serengeti. Although we did not visit during migration
Read more we saw the full range of expected mammals and a wide variety of avian life. The scenery was breathtaking, especially at Klein's Camp, which lies just outside the Northeastern corner of the park on a high mountain ridge overlooking a beautiful valley to the Northeast and the Serengeti to the West. I am a fairly well travelled individual and consider Klein's to be on of the finest accommodations I've experienced.

The wildlife in The Serengeti close to Acacia camp of Gosheni Safari Adventure is stunning and the scenery close to the mountains wonderful. The accommodation at the bushcamp Lodge is really 5 star and the service cannot be better...even a ice-maker for your drink in the bush!!Our guide was knowledgable and the vehicle brand new Landcriuzer with pop-up roof for great secenery.

The Big Outdoors, and truly is Big

A beautiful expanse of territory with varied wildlife and a simmering vibe. The Serengeti has everything. Mornings are special, burning sunrises with hot air balloons dotted in the sky give a romantic flavour to the setting. One has to remind oneself they are still in wild unforgiving surroundings. The sun beats relentless at midday, but still there is "entertainment" with the daily business and survival of the animals. One thing that adds to the entertainment is the rush to happenings/sightings in park. This can seem unfair to the animals to be so voyeuristic, but it is the reason where are all there - to see nature, to see the animals to experience the big outdoors.

Visiting the Serengeti was (next to Ngorongoro) one of our highlights. A very impressive landscape, amazing animals and a great accommodation (tented camp) made our visit unforgettable. At some spots it was a bit crowded, but some parts of the park were very secluded.

Serengeti is one of world's renowned National Park for maintaining its Natural habitat. As a first time goer to Africa, i would say Serengeti kept up to its name. Quite lucky to witness big five and many other animals and birds. As a enthusiast photographer, I would say it is a brilliant opportunity if one wants to picture wildlife.
