Our safari with Armadillo Overland Tours was fantastic, our guide Morris was knowledgeable and an excellent spotter and excellent cook. We saw the big 5 plus an amazing array of other animals in the Kruger Park - cheetah, hyena, warthog, giraffe, zebra, jackal, hippo, crocodile plus all kinds of birds. The accommodation at the camps within the park was rustic (as we were on a budget safari) but perfectly adequate. The shops and facilities within the Kruger are first rate. The weather was perfect as it was not too hot as it was spring time. The lorry/truct that Armadillo use is great as you have a very good view being so high up - it is useful to be able to recharge your phone/camera battery whilst driving around plus have access to a toilet/tea coffee making facilities on board.

The travel was well organized and all transitions went smooth and on time. The wildlife is stunning so is the nature. The guides were all extremely knowledgeable. Highlight was the Chobe National Park, during dry season a large variety of animals come together. We loved the boat tour. After that we flew into the Okavango Delta, very different experience the vegetation is different and the jeeps are allowed to leave the tracks and go deep into the bush to trace down cats. We loved it.My personal highlight was the walking Safari as it's the missing piece between game viewing and the story on nature and it's symbiosis. The stories were jaw dropping and teach you respect and admiration for Mother Nature and it's natural balance.

Kruger is the definitive game park and there are other game reserves within the country.

We had a wonderful visit in South Africa (Cape Town, Johannesburg, Kruger Park). Fantastic scenery and wildlife, great weather, excellent food and wine (particularly in Cape Town), rich culture, warm people...definitely worth returning and highly recommended!

I had a great time at my 5 days/4 nights safari in Kruger NP and Sabi Sands.
I saw the Big 5 several times which was amazing - each time. The record was 5 leopards in one game drive!
The camp and luxury tents were very nice and the staff and guides were awesome: good drivers, nice food (I loved the local SA food), informative game drives and fantastic service all the way through.
I can strongly recommend this trip to anyone - it's an experience for life!

South Africa is a destination rich in vegetation and wildlife. The conservation of species through parks and landscapes make it possible to propose an incredible destination.
(Of course, one must also look at the history of South Africa)

Me and my wife have never traveled to another country where everyone is always in a good mood and smiling all the time. From the moment we were picked up at our Hotel in J'Burg for our transfer to Kruger National Park, everyone is always smiling and eager to greet you; unlike Europe where we mostly travel. We went to South Africa foremost for a Safari adventure, and we received more than we expected. Wiring money overseas for something you have never done before would make everyone a little apprehentious, but our agent even gave us here personal cell number in case of any concerns. All payments were handled by a bank and all went smooth. The folks for our safari know why you are there - to see animals ! yes and they get you where the animals are. Though the guides at Kruger must stay on the road - we got some amazing photo's. A few days Later we transferred to Elephant Plains Game Lodge where it was 4-star luxury in the bush with fabulous food. The guides are allowed to go off

road as it is private with the most fantastic photo's and video of our trip. Then me and my wife flew to Cape Town ( Camp's Bay ) for 7 nights. I highly recommend Camp's Bay for folks who want to spend a little more for being away from downtown, ocean front views, ease of walking distance to dine out, and all around safety while walking at night. The hop-on, hop off sightseeing bus stop was right in front of The Bay Hotel where we staying making it a convenient way to get downtown to V & A waterfront or to wine tasting region, Tabletop Mountain, monkey and bird exhibits. I decided not to rent a car there - don't forget they drive on the left side of the road down there !! Your US $'s do go far there too, making a splendid trip even more memorable. The weather is a Mediterranean climate and very pleasant. Fantastic time in South Africa.
