Bring heavy coat for safaris, it gets cold at night and early morning and the open cab lets cutting wind come thru.

We did a three day Keurig private Safari with our guide Jerry. We had a fabulous time, the people, the scenery, the wildlife… we loved every second.

Kruger National Park was such a delight! We were lucky with great weather and a lot of animal sightings! I am so grateful for this experience and will reflect on it in the future. I can't wait to go back!

I really enjoyed the Safari to Kruger. The camping experience and private tour was everything we hoped for. The amount of wildlife we saw was mind boggling and now going to the zoo will be a disappointment. To see them in their natural habitat was the best. Our Guide Chris was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He was expert at spotting wild life. Our cook, Hope, was an expert Chef. He prepared such tasty meals on basic cooking equipment. The South African wine each night an added bonus. Thankyou to Ryan and Thale of Wild Planet Safari for arranging this tour. The last day to Blyde Canyon was very memorable. The weather in May was perfect. No rain, and no bugs.

Exceeded our expectations

Visited South Africa in May 2025. 4 nights in Cape Town then flew to Kruger for a 5 day safari at Tresimana Lodge. The staff and guides were wonderful. Enjoyed the tours at their private reserve and enjoyed the bush walk down to the river with two guides. Kruger Park was fantastic, we saw the big 5 and truly were impressed by the wildlife and the size of the park. Our experience in Africa exceeded our expectations. Cape Town is a beautiful city and visiting the District 6 museum was extremely informative of the brutality of apartheid. The coastline is rugged but beautiful. Enjoyed fish and chips at Kaley’s before seeing the penguins at Boulder beach. After 5 days at Kruger we spent a day at the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg. The cost of food was extremely reasonable due to US exchange rate. We definitely will return in the future to see more countries and hopefully a chance to visit the Mountain Gorillas in Rawanda or Uganda.

The country that will remain in my heart

5 / 5 5 /5

South Africa has always been in my mind and in particular to enjoy the view of free animals in the savannah or bush. I was able to give myself this gift for my 60th birthday and I’m happy that I did! The trip both in the area of Cape Town, along the Garden route and finally with Viva safaris in the Kruger park turned out what I expected: a wonder! Thanks to South Africa, to those who live and work there.

I loved Cape Town as it was a wonderful city with delicious food. I personally didn’t experience feeling unsafe, but definitely be aware of the areas you’re in. Kruger was great as well for a short safari as it gives you great chances to see the big 5. I would highly recommend traveling to Cape Town to anybody, especially foodies
