Lake Manyara follows, with its tree-climbing lions that have made it well known. Tarangire brings elephant herds along the river, with an optional sunrise balloon flight over the plains at first light. The trip ends in Ngorongoro Crater – lion, zebra, and black rhino within the walls of the caldera.
