Ol Pejeta is a privately owned game reserve, overlooking the peaks of Mount Kenya. The conservancy has a large number of wildlife, including all the big five among other game. It has a special sanctuary that shelters several rare and endangered species, including black rhino, Grevy’s zebra, the Jackson’s hartebeest, and Chimpanzees and home to last two northern white rhinos remaining in the world. The Chimpanzee sanctuary is the only one in Kenya.
