Tsavo East National Park is the largest and oldest game park in Kenya, with altitudes ranging from 1,200 ft to 3,000 ft above sea level. It was gazetted in 1948 and is located near the town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta District of the Coast Province. The park is divided into eastern and western sections by the A109 road and the railway line. It covers an area of 13,747 km².
