Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its incredible biodiversity, particularly its population of endangered mountain gorillas. The park encompasses 331 square kilometers of dense rainforest, making it one of the most biologically diverse areas on Earth. Besides being home to roughly half of the world's remaining mountain gorilla population, Bwindi also shelters numerous other primate species, birds, butterflies.
