Mount Sabinyo is part of the Virunga Mountains that are spread along the borders of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Mount Sabinyo is located northeast of the famous lake kivu and the west of the lake Bunyonyi both great Lakes of the region give off a beautiful view from the top. Mount Sabinyo is also the only volcano that is located in two of the other mountain gorilla homes besides the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
