Arrive Johannesburg and fly to Hoedspruit

Arrive at OR Tambo (JNB) International Airport where you will make your way for your flight to Hoedspruit (flight included).

On arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met by your game ranger for your transfer to Kapama Southern Camp.

Arrive at the lodge, where you will be met by your guide who will introduce you to the wonderful staff that will be looking after you for the next few days.

You might want to freshen up before lunch after which you will have time to relax.

You will be met by your ranger for afternoon tea before setting off on a game drive to find some of Africa's wildlife.
The beauty of the African bush lies in its unpredictability.

Sundowners and snacks will be scheduled at a place in the bush where the magnificent African sunset can be enjoyed.
A short night drive with spotlights turned on in the search for some of Africa's nocturnal animals will follow the sundowner stop.

Return to the lodge an enjoy dinner.

Rhino Conservation Experience

We will meet before sunrise for coffee and snacks before boarding your private vehicle to head out to find the rhinos. A full safety briefing and a brief explanation of rhino poaching and efforts to stop it will take place before departure.

On arrival at the site, you will witness the darting of a rhino by a highly trained team consisting of a wildlife veterinarian and our professional crew.

You will get up close to one of Africa’s most iconic animals and assist in the following activities:
• Assisting to manoeuvre the animal into a safe position.
• Monitoring vital signs of the animal.
• Drilling and inserting horn microchips or total de-horning, if required.
• Applying medication and ointments.
• Cutting of ear notches for identification purposes.
• Recording important measurements including horn length, shoulder height and body length.

Once all the data has been recorded the rhino will then be re-mobilized.

Return to the lodge.

You'll have an afternoon game drive and dinner.

Full day at Kapama Southern Camp

You are woken up very early by your ranger for your morning safari. Of course, you can choose to stay and have a relaxing morning at the lodge.

During the morning drive you will stop in a secluded spot in the bush to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee. Snacks will also be served while you chat about the morning's sightings.

On return to the lodge a hearty breakfast will be served.

Take a dip in the pool or enjoy a spa treatment.

After meeting for our afternoon high tea, we head out for another game drive to discover what awaits us in the African bush.

Sundowners and snacks will be scheduled at a place in the bush where the magnificent African sunset can be enjoyed.

A short night drive with spotlights turned on in the search for some of Africa's nocturnal animals will follow the sundowner stop.

You will return to the lodge ensuring that you have enough time to freshen up before dinner.

A superb dinner prepared by the executive chef will be served.

You are woken up very early by your ranger for your morning safari. Of course, you can choose to stay and have a relaxing morning at the lodge.

Before you head out you will enjoy coffee and snacks.

During the morning drive you will stop in a secluded spot in the bush to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee. Snacks will also be served while you chat about the morning’s sightings.

On return to the lodge a hearty brunch of your choice will be served.

Once you have checked out, you will be transferred to Hoedspruit Airport for your return flight to Johannesburg (Flight included).
