Day 1

On this day, you will be warmly met by your assigned English speaking safari guide at your place of residence or hotel in Entebbe town/Kampala city to meet and greet, be briefed about your 7-days Uganda safari with gorilla tracking, have all your travel bags packed in the vehicle, then start your adventurous journey to Queen Elizabeth national park found in western Uganda. On your way to Queen Elizabeth national park, you will have a stopover at the equator line located at kayabwe which is believed to be separating the planet into two parts; the northern and southern hemisphere, have lunch and then proceed with your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will arrive early evening to check in at your booked lodge to freshen up, relax for some time and later visit the beautiful twin lakes which cannot be found anywhere in Africa except in Rubirizi.

After an early morning heavy breakfast, be driven to kalinzu forest reserve head office to join other guests for the pre trekking briefings, be given a site guide and then start your chimpanzee tracking safari. After spending an hour with the chimpanzees in kalinzu forest reserve, return to the starting point to have a bottle of water to freshen yourself, have lunch, relax and later depart for 2hours’ afternoon boat cruise safari along kazinga channel the main water stream which goes through the park and connecting lake George and lake Edward. The cruise will bring you very close to several mammals such as the hippos, Nile crocodiles and buffaloes, elephants and so many others plus various water birds. Return to your lodge to relax, have dinner, and an overnight.

Day 3

After having your tasty breakfast, get all your luggage packed in the vehicle, checkout of your lodge and then drive to kasenyi plains found in the north-eastern parts of the park for the morning game drive in search of wildlife species. Queen Elizabeth national park is an understandably one of Uganda’s most popular national parks and an ideal habitat for classic big game such as the four mammals of the big 5 family of the African savannah (lions, leopards, elephants and buffaloes), several antelope species, primates and many others. After the game drive, relax and then start your journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park via ishasha sector in the southern parts of Queen Elizabeth national; park to look out for the unique tree climbing lions which are only found in ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park, have lunch and proceed to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park which is famous for being a home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

Day 4

: Bwindi impenetrable forest national park – mountain gorilla trekking – spend the evening at leisur

Wakeup early morning (0600am) to organize yourself, arrange the necessary equipment during gorilla trekking meet your safari guide to be transferred to the park information offices to join other guests to be briefed about mountain gorilla trekking dos and don’ts, how to behave in the presence of the mountain gorillas and expectations, be allocated a mountain gorilla family to track, UWA ranger and the forest guide.
Once you encounter the mountain gorilla family, the excitement of seeing the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, will outweigh the hardship you went through while searching for them. You will spend a maximum of 1 hour with the mountain gorillas and you will be free to capture as many photos. Have refreshments and lunch and then drive to lake bunyonyi to relax, dinner and an overnight.

Rise up at your best time to be served breakfast, have all your travel bags loaded into your safari vehicle, checkout of your lodge and then drive to the Batwa pygmy community for cultural experiences. Batwa people are the ancient indigenous people around Bwindi impenetrable forest national park who used to survive on the forest and its wildlife species through hunting small game animals and gathering plants for both medicine and food purposes. This walk to the Batwa communities will expose you to firsthand information about the park and its wildlife inhabitants, they also have good stories about their life style and entertaining cultural performances. After the Batwa tour, have lunch and then drive to lake bunyonyi the deepest and one o9f the most beautiful places in Uganda where you can relax while enjoying the nature. On arrival at lake bunyonyi, check in at your booked lodge and spend your evening at leisure till time to be served dinner and an overnight.

Today, wakeup at your convenient time, be served breakfast and then go for a morning boat canoeing safari on lake bunyonyi which takes approximately 2 hours of exploring the lake and visiting different islands of the lake with a local canoe guide
After canoeing on lake bunyonyi return to your lodge to check out and start your journey to lake mburo national game park with a stopover in Mbarara city for lunch and thereafter, proceed with your journey to the park to check in at your booked lodge and relax then proceed with the night game drive which will boost your chances to see the nocturnal mammals of savannah such as the spotted hyenas, leopards, civet, African rock python, porcupine, bush babies among others which are very difficult to see during day game drives. It is an interesting experience out at night and lake mburo is one of the best parks for a night game drive.

On this day, you will have a simple breakfast in the morning and go for an early morning game drive safari to spot more wildlife species and exploring the beautiful park. During your game drive, you will spot high concentration of zebras, meet the giraffes, impalas, elands, African caped buffaloes, warthogs and many others on a great day, you may meet the grazing hippos, leopard, and many other wildlife species. After the game drive (1100am), return to your lodge to have full breakfast, checkout of the lodge and start your drive to Entebbe international airport to prepare for your return flight. On your way to Entebbe international airport, you will have a stopover in kayabwe for lunch, visit some craft shops to buy some souvenir which are fully designed in Ugandan art. After that, proceed with your journey to Entebbe international airport to prepare for your return flight. This will be the end of your 7 days Uganda safari with gorilla trekking.
