Kenya has a fantastic variety of landscapes, wildlife and birdlife. Some of the popular parks and lodges can get very busy in high season but choose the time of your visit and your accommodation wisely and you will have an unforgettable safari.

We drove through the country a little and the coffee and tea fields were nice.

Our main focus was birding in Kenya. Samburu National Resewrve offered a good balance of excellent birding and fair amount of wild life. Acccomodation was good

The Masai Mara is amazing, especially during the migration.

A wide variety of wildlife seen but in my safari group few were interested in birds preferring to chase after the "Big 5" What I saw/identified led to think that this would be a great birding destination

If you are patience and are prepared to get up early in the mornings you will boast you chances of spotting wildlife.

Kenya has some of the greatest bird diversity in Africa, and it was a wild place to visit. In some respects, bird and mammal diversity is restricted to the large parks, or at least the regularly birded destinations. We tried to visit places off the beaten path, but we had a hard time stopping on the side of the road without attracting a scene. The human population is blosoming, and the countryside and many parks are suffering from people trying to support their families. If you stick to your itinerary with a tour group, you'll be exposed to some of the best parks Kenya has to offer.
