Arrive early to avoid the crowds, and you can watch a lovely sunrise over the alkaline plains of Lake Manyara. And go soon - unfortunately, the borders of the park are slowly being pinched by development.

Our family did not have enough time to fully see and rate the park.

Lake Manyara feels slightly different from the other parks in northern Tanzania and that makes it a special place. And of course, you have tree climbing lions here, very special indeed.

This is a small park near Arusha and had the most visitors we encountered. Because of the season, it has the least animals. However, we did see the flamingos!

This was my very first time in an African Safari and I was really hoping to see elephants and giraffes among others. As we entered the park, just a few meters from the gate, we were welcomed by a beautiful family of elephants. They really came in close to us to the point that we could almost touche them (a big no no).
The scenery was wonderful with green grass and trees and small streams and creeks running across some of the roads.
Our guide was incredible patient with us as we took our time to take pictures and video of everything that moved.

I loved the wildlife we saw, the accommodations we stayed in - everything. All combined to give you a wonderful Africa experience.
