Great place but didnt spend enough time here and didn't even see the lake! Had a night drive but seeing that I was wandering around the hotel with my binoculars, it would have been nice for someone to tell me about the nightjars that roost there but I did not find out until we were leaving for the airport!

The area is excellent for walking safari experiences and we had the most amazing walking safari ever (and we've done many in numerous countries). The calm animals and the capacity to get close to them was breathtaking. The birding on the lake and surrounding wetlands was also outstanding.

Unbelievable Walking Safaris: Being able to step out of the vehicle and walk on foot alongside giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and buffaloes is an unreal, up-close experience you just don't get in most parks.
Blissful Peace & Quiet: It feels completely uncrowded. Seeing only one other vehicle during a game drive makes you feel like you have the entire park and its wildlife all to yourself.
Rich Variety of Wildlife & Birds: Beyond the big game, the combination of acacia woodland, wetlands, and the lake creates a stunning backdrop packed with impala, waterbuck, and incredible birdlife.
The Perfect Pace: It’s compact, accessible, and provides a brilliant, relaxed contrast to the heavy trekking in Bwindi.
