Incredible beautiful country, easy to fall in love 🥰! Over all my expectations!
We have contacted Tour operator, and they adjusted our trip to our budget and desire.
At airport in Windhoek we were met by friendly and professional personnel, they were very effective at all services from visas to car rental. From the first accommodation we’ve got excellent service, huge rooms at every lodge we stayed, good food and friendly and polite personnel. June is vinter time in Namibia, and night temperature dropped down to 2-3 degrees C. It was heating in almost every lodge we stayed, warm water in the shower, clean rooms and tents and even European power outlets.
Most of the places like gas stations, restaurants, safari operators and lodges used credit cards terminals.

is completely different with red mountains. Namibia is a big country with just three million inhabitants. Distance between destinations are quite long, and there is a lot of space for everyone. Tourist attractions don’t feel crowded. The most tourist we met was in Swakopmund and Sossusvlei.Etosha national park has variety of wildlife. There were animals roaming just outside lodges. Every lodge offers guided safaris with very knowledgeable guides . I wish we could stay longer in Etosha, I would book more guided safaris. My advice to book in advance. Evening and whole day safaris are best, you get best light in evening, and guide will take you to some special places for wildlife watching. Everything is well organised, clean toilets at all tourist destinations, good parking facilities. This country is much cleaner than we used to here in Europe! Of course it’s Africa and country is not rich, so we have seen poor villages filled with rubbish too. We talked to locals, they were poor, but friendly and polite. Give them food and water if you have, maybe some clothes.
Nature in Namibia is just fantastic with landscapes just out of this world! It’s impossible to describe! It’s better to see!
Roads very from very good standard to very poor quality, especially in Damaraland. But we loved to drive on gravel roads, it was not boring and you can see a lot of surrounding countryside. Our advice: rent a bigger 4WD car, so you can stay on the road stable.
All 16 days we were staying in Namibia, the weather was fine. Just sunny, but Swakopmund was foggy and wet. Cold winds from Atlantic brought waves and humidity. This is the only place we had unfortunately accommodation without heating, we wouldn’t stay there again. So bring with you some warm clothes, light down jacket and pyjamas, as it can be cold in tent lodge at night. As soon sun comes up, it’ll get warm.
By conclusion: we loved Namibia so much, that we’re already planning to come back to Namibia❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Wild and wonderful
I really enjoyed my time in Namibia. I liked Windhoek however one or two days was enough. I enjoyed going throughout the country visiting Etosha and then the coast and then of course the dunes. The tour we were on was action packed and we saw so many different animals and met people from different cultures. It was a wonderful experience.

Namibia's nature is beautiful and amazing
Our week in Namibia was really amazing and we loved the nature. At this time of the year its not the best season to see wildlife because they find water everywhere and are not necessarily gathering around a water hole. But the nature and its diversity was stunning. With de dunes in the south and the green parks in the north - just amazing. Make sure you have at least a 4 by 4 to drive around. The main streets are in a very good condition but as soon as you leave them the gravel roads start. During the rainy season you encounter a lot of flooding on the roads and then it is absolutely crucial to have a off-road capable car. We felt very safe all the time and there is no worry about this topic.

Seriously amazing landscapes
I restricted my Namibian visit to the Namib Desert, having heard so much about its amazing beauty - and I was not disappointed. You don't come to the desert for wildlife - though there was some such as Jackals, Oryx, lizards and beetles - you visit the desert for the sculptural landscapes which the wind has carved out of the sands.
The colour is also something else - the orange dunes rise up into a blue, blue sky with deep black shadows, white claypans and blackened camelthorn trees - it's truly amazing.

Beautiful landscapes
The landscapes of Namibia are beautiful. There are many kilometers to travel, but it’s worth it because even driving on a gravel road in the middle of nowhere has its own charm.

Exotic Namibia
We loved everything about Namibia. The people are friendly, the animals are beautiful and the landscape is second to none.

Picturesque
First time to Namibia.
First time doing a Father and Son Self Drive Safari.
Katya from Desert Air Africa Safari's was excellent in packaging up our individual requirements and adding her personal touches.
The drive through Okonjima Plains, Mushara, and Waterberg was eyewatering. Out of the Big 5 we managed to see 4 - Lion, Leopard, Elephant and Rhinoceros up close and Personal. Unfortunately the Buffalo were in the protected area of Waterberg Plateau and not accessible.
In addition there were many other local animals, Cheetahs, Springboks, Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and a multitude of other fascinating species, big and small, interacting in their natural environment.
All tours at each site was very well executed - couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Would I recommend doing a Self Drive Safari - Too right I would.
Would I recommend doing a Self Drive Safari with Desert Air Africa Safari - Most Definitely, just ask for Katya.
