Kenya Tanzania Travel
This trip was based on a friend's itinerary and chose Meijo Safaris. Sales representative Marcelina responded very promptly and actively resolved various issues, but there was one thing that was not very good. The night before departure, she was informed that a new guide had been replaced (any subsequent dissatisfaction was caused by the new guide). Kenya's guide Henry Gichura Very good, professional, enthusiastic, and proactive. After the replacement in Tanzania, the guide Pete was very unprofessional, not communicative, and not proactive (reasons: 1. He only opens the roof when we need to prompt him to do so; 2. He doesn't pull the handbrake every time he stops; 3. He doesn't even know where the restroom is on the way from the Tanzanian border to the northern part of Serengeti; 4. He didn't even tell us when he changed our hot meal to a cold meal. We asked him why our meal wasn't hot, but he said he didn't know. I asked the salesperson later, and the salesperson said it was the guide who changed it. They were worried that it would be inconvenient for us to eat hot meals when we saw the horses crossing the river, but the guide never told us about it; 5. Every day, the guide said it would start at 8 o'clock. Our friends also encountered the same problem, so we requested to move up the time. Of course, we also said to leave early and return to the hotel early, The guide disagreed, but only agreed after reporting to the sales team. However, they returned to the hotel very early; 6. Our 5-day safari experience in the Serengeti far exceeded our expectations – it truly deserves a full five-star review!
First, we'd like to thank our agent, Marcelina, for arranging such a wonderful itinerary and excellent accommodations. Each lodge had its own unique character and was located in different ecological areas, allowing us to observe a wide variety of wildlife. From the open plains to riverine woodlands, every day brought new surprises.
A particularly thoughtful touch was the provision of hot meals in our lunchboxes, which was very welcoming for our Chinese stomachs! Having a warm meal after a long day out on the plains greatly enhanced the overall experience.
What impressed us most was our guide, Frank. Learning that he has been a guide for 17 years, we knew immediately we were in the hands of a true expert. Frank knows the Serengeti inside and out. His eyes are incredibly sharp, often spotting animals from very far away. He is not only knowledgeable about every mammal, reptile, and bird we encountered but also shared fascinating insights into animal behavior. To our delight, he managed to find us lions and a cheetah on our very first day, which was incredibly exciting!
Frank's driving skills were commendable. We encountered heavy rain and fog during our journey, but he navigated all road conditions with expertise, ensuring our safety and comfort. The vehicle he drove was well-equipped with air conditioning, soft cushions, and a supply of drinks, beer, and wine. While the Serengeti can get quite hot at midday, the air conditioning made the safari experience much more comfortable.
The 5-day itinerary was very well-planned, with each segment connecting seamlessly. We are already looking forward to returning someday and hope to witness the Great Migration crossing the river under Frank's guidance! We highly recommend this tour company, especially if you can request Frank as your guide – he will undoubtedly make your Serengeti adventure truly unforgettable.

The whole experience, from planning our itinerary with sales staff to the actual safari trip in Tanzania, with Meijo is perfect.
We've consult dozens of 5-star rating safari operators for plans & quotations, and among them all, Michael, the sales staff from Meijo has always been the most attentive replier. Michael was skilled and very well prepared to help customized an itinerary that fulfilled every request we had. All the instructions were super clear through our communication via email as well as Wechat. Michael's warm and prompt responses really earned our trust from the very beginning.
We were glad to know that all the safari guide in Meijo were more than 8 years of experience. And as i'm writing this review at home in China 10 days after returning from this amazing trip, I still couldn't help feeling super blessed having Mr. Emmanuel Mroki as our safari guide in Tanzania.
Emmanuel had been extremely punctuate and professional this entire time. We were amazed countless times by his unbelievably good eyesight for spotting the animals. He made sure that we could take pictures from perfect angles for each and everyone of the big animals we encountered. Emma's driving skill is absolutely top-notch -- the way he handles the rough and muddy roads is really graceful. Also, Emma kept the jeep in perfect condition everyday no matter how late we got to the camp site last night. Beside keeping us safe and comfortable all along the way, Emma's extensive knowledge about the animals and the plants in both Tarangire and Serengeti made our safari trip extremely fun and rewarding.
Emma's outstanding guide skills ensured us to see the wildebeest crossing multiple times. even in October. And we were even more impressed by him when we got a chance to exchange our experience with other tourists at a bush breakfast occasion finding out that we'd seen the most animals thanks to our guide Emma!
It's definitely an once-in-a-lifetime journey in Tanzania, and we were lucky to choose Meijo. We've already recommend Meijo to our families and friends who are so eager to plan for a safari trip to Tanzania after seeing our pictures.

Awesome, thoughtful and considerate guy
The experience with Meijo Safaris has been an excellent one. The plan is well thought and arranged in a way that allows diversified experiences through the northern Serengeti, central Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crator. The traveling and transiting between areas has been efficient and interesting (incorporating game drive). Hotel arrangement is also quite amazing - though the crator hotel is quite crowded, the other two hotels has quality that exceeds expectation (and less travelled by). Overall quite good.

I love both Serengeti and Zanzibar, and I absolutely must go!
Overall, the arrangements for the trip to Zang Island weren't particularly well-organized, but we still had wonderful memories in the Serengeti. It was a shame we missed seeing wildebeest crossing the river by more than ten minutes. The driver and guides, Jordan and Othman, were very nice, and the entire trip was a joy.
