10/10 Experience
Lion king adventures lived up to all expectations and more. Everything from accommodations, meals, and trips is very detailed making it easy to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience. The safari was absolutely incredible, but the best part was our tour guide Shabani! He made the excursions 10x better, the wonderful man knows all parks like the back of his hand! Shabi is so considerate of his clients but also very respectful of the parks and the animals. As for the rare species of safari animals we saw over 15 lions, a handful of cheetahs, a very rare active leopard with two baby cubs, AND 3 rhinos! Not only did Shabi put us in the best positions to see all the animals but he is just a very genuine friendly man. He answered all our thousands of questions and taught us some Swahili also. Shabani is that guy and I could not recommend lion king adventures more!

LIONKING ADVENTURES (AND MISADVENTURES)
To evaluate the service fairly, I believe it is important to divide the experience into different stages:
Purchasing process – María
Excellent service. Very efficient, responsive, and professional. We exchanged many emails reviewing options and changes, and she always replied quickly and clearly. This part of the experience was very positive.
After-sales service – Rose
Unfortunately, this is where the problems started. I detected an invoicing error of over USD 9,000. After several days, I was told it was an “administrative error” and that I still had to pay it. We were 15 people with flights already issued and only two months away from departure, so I had no real alternative. I paid to avoid disappointing my grandchildren and because it was impossible to restart the process with another provider so close to the trip.
I requested a phone number for emergencies, which was provided. I had to call it three times due to critical situations:
On arrival to Kilimanjaro, no one was waiting for us at the airport.
On departure from Kilimanjaro to Zanzibar, we did not have our flight tickets and were not allowed to enter the airport. The tickets had been emailed late the night before, without any call or message to alert me. We almost missed the flight and were saved only by our guide.
On arrival in Zanzibar, once again, no one was waiting for us.
Only the first call was answered. In the other two critical situations, there was no response and no return calls.
Additionally, I suffered an accident on the second day of the trip and had to be treated at Karatu Hospital. Our guide handled everything excellently, but no one from the agency ever contacted me to check on my condition.
Guides and vehicles
Outstanding. David, Yusuf, and Muita, together with their assistants Jacob and Kelvin, were highly professional, kind, and attentive. They were the highlight of the trip.
Conclusion
Once the contract was signed, customer service declined dramatically. This was very disappointing, especially when traveling with children and after paying more than USD 80,000. Surprisingly, no one from the agency contacted us afterward to ask about our experience. Overall, the lack of concern for the client was far from the image that led me to choose this company.

Trip of a lifetime!!!
This was by far the most amazing trip we have been on!! From the first communication with this company and throughout the process they were prompt, friendly and so helpful. The tour exceeded our expectations and our guide Hamade was the absolute best!! He paid attention to every detail, made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the safari and was an expert at finding all the animals! The lodging at all locations were incredible and the staff were all so welcoming and friendly. They also put on a dreamy Vow Renewal Ceremony for us in the Serengeti that was more than we could have asked for. We will definitely be using this company again for our next safari.

Safari 2026
We chose Lion King Adventures because they were very attentive and thoughtful about replying to initial emails and were very happy with our tour,. Our guide, Oswald , was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, well organised, we always had a clear idea of what we were doing. The lodges we stayed in were great, very welcoming, good food and rooms. We saw so many animals, including the big five and Oswald rearranged our balloon trip for us to a different area when he realised that many wildebeest had already migrated.

Top Notch Experience All Around
From the very beginning, we had a wonderful experience with Lion King Adventures. From the booking process (Jovitha was incredibly responsive) to the safari itself, everything was handled to the highest standard. A special shoutout to the drivers, who are clearly the best of the best—Lion King Adventures sets a very high bar.
Mecky guided us through the first part of our safari in Tarangire and Lake Manyara, and he was an absolute pleasure to be around. He’s conversational, worldly, deeply knowledgeable, speaks multiple languages, and is even a master mechanic. We felt incredibly lucky to have him as our guide—he’s truly a renaissance man and the perfect person to introduce us to Tanzania during our first few days.
Leonard accompanied us on the second leg of the safari through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Leonard is a true professional and equally wonderful company. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about both flora and fauna and has an incredibly keen eye for spotting wildlife. Thanks to him, we were able to see all of the Big Five—many of them up close. This didn’t feel like luck at all; Leonard has a real instinct for being in the right place at the right time. We even spotted leopards, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive rhino. A special shoutout as well for introducing me to a unique ginger tea, which I now drink on a daily basis!
Overall, Lion King Adventures ensured we had an unforgettable honeymoon, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

Highly responsive, incredibly professional, deeply knowledgeable
We booked our safari with Lion King at very short notice. Within a day, the Lion King team came back to us with a tailored itinerary based on our needs and timeline.
We were picked up at the airport in Kilimanjaro by Justin, who was very friendly and gave us our first introduction to Tanzania and our itinerary and took us to our first lodge.
The following day we were greeted by Haruni, who was our tour guide for the duration of our stay in Tanzania. Haruni is not only a great guide and tracker, he is also extremely professional and friendly. He understood that as we were on honeymoon we did not necessarily want to have a very demanding schedule, and he showed a lot of flexibility with our schedule and tardiness! We managed to see all Big Five and so much more.
Haruni also helped us deal with issues that came up during the trip (unrelated to Tanzania or Lion King), for example finding a hospital to have stitches removed that I had from an operation just prior to arriving in Tanzania.
I could not recommend Lion King more if you are looking for a professional, friendly, and locally knowledgeable operator!

Amazing Lion King Adventures ＆ MURSHID !‼︎‼︎!
This was our first trip to Tanzania, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Lion King Adventures, everything—from planning to the safari itself—was perfectly organized.
We traveled for 4 nights and 5 days, starting with a night in Arusha, followed by 3.5 days of game drives in Ngorongoro, Serengeti (Seronera), Ndutu, and Lake Manyara. Despite our limited time, the itinerary was well designed and allowed us to see an incredible variety of wildlife and landscapes.
During the planning stage, Riziki and Naurey were extremely helpful. Their replies were fast, detailed, and very thoughtful. They carefully adjusted the plan to match our wishes and suggested great ideas so we could make the most of our limited schedule. From the beginning, we felt very reassured and well supported.
Our safari guide, MURSHID, was absolutely outstanding. He was friendly, humorous, and very considerate. Even though our English is not perfect, he explained everything clearly and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves.
Thanks to his excellent knowledge, sharp eyesight, and constant communication with other guides, we were able to see all of the Big Five, Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras, and many touching parent-and-child moments—an unforgettable highlight.
One moment that left a particularly strong impression on us was spotting a leopard. MURSHID knew exactly where leopards tend to hide and patiently searched the area, carefully scanning the surroundings. Leopards are masters of camouflage, but thanks to his experience and persistence, we finally found one. It was an unforgettable and emotional moment for us.
We traveled during the rainy season, but MURSHID’s driving skills, time management, and flexibility were impressive. What surprised us especially was that even though the vehicle became completely covered in mud during the day, it was always perfectly clean and spotless the next morning. This level of professionalism and care truly impressed us.
We honestly cannot thank MURSHID enough—he is the best guide we could have ever asked for.
If you are considering a safari in Tanzania, we highly recommend Lion King Adventures and especially MURSHID without hesitation.
This safari exceeded all our expectations, and we will treasure these memories forever.

Wonderful trip with great guide and service!
What an amazing trip! The staff at Lion King (especially Maria and Nickson) were great at planning out trip and tailoring it to our needs. Every part of the trip was well scheduled, including our airport pick up / drop off and extra activities. Lion King was very quick in responding to emails and kept us abreast of progress as the trip was being planned. I was traveling with my 70+ year old mom, and the staff was great at noting the accommodation needs for her. But the biggest applause goes to our tour guide Haruni -- an amazing individual who was kind, attentive and very good at showing us beautiful Tanzania and its wildlife -- we couldn't believe all that we saw! Haruni has great knowledge about the animals and landscape, able to answer questions and was patient when we wanted to stay some place longer. He was a great pleasure on our eight day journey. Cannot recommend Lion King, and especially Haruni more. We loved our trip and overall, I would say that the service, hotels, food, etc. very worth the cost of the trip. Thank you Lion King for the trip of a life time! (though I want to come back again!).

Care and knowledge
We had a fantastic safari with Benjamin from Lion King Adventures. We visited Tarangire, Ndutu, Ngorongoro and Manyara over a 5-day drive. We saw the big five and it seems like all the other major animals during the safari - a lot of giraffes and also cheetahs, hippos, hyenas, zebras, ostriches and an endless stream of wildebeest.
Benjamin is an amazing guide, he was always giving us information about the flora and fauna around us, but also about Tanzania in general, the local customs and day-to-day life. He also had an answer ready for any of our questions. A large portion of the safari is off-road driving which is challenging, but Benjamin is an excellent driver and passed parts of the road where other cars had difficulties without us really noticing.
The accommodations were all very cozy and extremely welcoming, especially the tent camp in Ndutu where there was a New Years cake on Jan 1 which was a small celebration in itself with a song. And an elephant walked (safely) through the camp at night which was an unforgettable experience.
Overall we’re extremely happy with our first safari and we hope this is the first of many!

Exceptional safari guide and reliable tour operator
My partner and I visited Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro national park between Dec 27 and Jan 2 and had the most wonderful experience we could ask for. The team at Lion King was communicative and prompt from the planning stages and throughout the entire trip.
We were picked up from the airport with no issues despite our flight being delayed and were dropped off at a hotel to have breakfast which was where we met up with our safari guide, Charles. I cannot say enough great things about our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the animals and went above and beyond by constantly communicating with other drivers on the radio to locate animals we wanted to see. We saw EVERYTHING including rare sightings such as a leopard grabbing catfish for a snack from a body of water, a pride of 20 or so lion eating at the carcasses of 3 buffalos, and even had a cheetah hop onto the spare tire at the back of our vehicle! He was always aware of where to position the vehicle so you could get great photos, would always be flexible with us whenever we needed a break, and would do his best to time our lunches before the crowds to ensure we had a place to sit and eat. He also knows the roads very well so if there is a sighting he WILL get you there. This is my second safari and I can't emphasize enough how big a difference a great safari guide can have on your experience. I highly recommend him to anyone going on safari.
On the last day when we were dropped off at our hotel, there was a huge backlog of people trying to check into the hotel with several people waiting hours to get checked-in but after contacting Maria/Naurey, they promptly called the hotel and ensured us the hotel staff would look after us. Soon after, we received our room keys.
Overall, I had a great experience with Lion King and would safari with them again in the future.
