Soweto Tour
5/5

This was an excellent tour!! Five stars for Itu, who did an awesome job. He showed us some of Johannesburg on our way to Soweto. The Soweto tour itself was amazing, learning the historical significance of this township was enlightening. Seeing close up how the people live is interesting. Itu is a great guide and we appreciate everything he did for us. Thanks again, Itu!

One of the best experiences! Seeing the animals in their natural habitat was truly special! We had many close encounters and saw lots of species. Truly amazing!

Incredible Day at Pilanesberg
5/5

Our day at the safari was magical and one that we will remember for the rest of our lives!!!

We went on the full day safari in early May. Our driver picked us up a little before 6 am and we did the rounds to the other hotels to pick up the other folks. Our safari driver was Tumi and he was wonderful. He was informative and friendly, but also didn't talk the whole time, which gave us an opportunity to just enjoy the scenery.

We saw a lot of animals, some very up close and personal, including elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippos, rhinos, impalas, and leopards. We even saw a leopard take down an impala - it was like National Geographic in real life!

A few items that may be helpful:
- It was pretty chilly at the first part of the day. I would bring plenty of layers, or even a blanket for your lap, especially when the driver starts going fast to catch a sighting reported by one of the other guides. A winter hat, ear muffs, or a scarf would have also been helpful.
- We sat in the back row of the truck and it ended up being an ideal spot for seeing the animals. All the seats are good, and it all depends on where the animals are, but we did spot many animals where others couldn't see them as well, and then our guide would adjust the truck so that everyone could see.
- We didn't have binoculars and we still saw plenty. If you have binoculars bring them, but we didn't feel deprived without them.
- A very specific tip: the road can get VERY bumpy. For my fellow busty ladies, plan your undergarments appropriately :)
- The lunch site did have some hungry guinea fowl and sweets loving bees. If anyone is allergic or scared of bees, stay away from the condiments tray and sodas. We were fine until the condiments came out and then the bees found us.
- The truck is roomy, so don't be afraid to pack what you think you may need, like layers, water, snacks, sunscreen.
- My husband and I went together, but commented that our 11 year old daughter may not have enjoyed it since there were quiet spells between animal sightings and a lot of sitting and driving. There were kids on some of the other trucks, but I would say trust your judgement of your kids' tolerance for sitting, waiting, and being quiet during animal viewing.
- We received a text the night before with a confirmed pick up time for our driver.
- With the early morning pick up, the drive out of town is an ideal moment for a nap. We needed dramamine to avoid car sickness, but in hindsight probably would have brought a travel pillow as well.
- At the lunch spot and at end of the day there were some vendors selling carvings and other goods. The ones at the end of the day did a hard sell, so don't approach unless you're ready for that. I got a really beautiful elephant carving to remember the day!

Better than expected
5/5

For our first ever safari and it not being a long one, we had a great experience. Tumi was a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable. We didn’t see all the Big 5 but we seen a lot of animals. Out favorite was the leopard walking down the street. If it’s your first ever safari, we highly recommend it. Fun for everyone.

A Most Amazing Safari!
5/5

The safari was excellent! Though a somewhat cool and occasionally rainy day, we were treated to a close up experience of an elephant herd (including a big bull pushing down a tree right next to us after briefly coming within 1 meter of the safari vehicle!) Our safari guide Buffalo Soldier was funny and witty but extremely knowledgeable on the park and flora and fauna. Though we only encountered 2 of the big 5, we saw hippos, giraffes, antelope, numerous birds, the aforementioned elephants and a leopard! The transfer driver was also very pleasant and arrived on time. The booking experience was simple and communication was excellent in coordinating our pickup. All in all, I’m so glad we went with you guys and not in our own car as we had considered

Lodge was amazing, the staff , the accommodation and especially the food!
The Guide was very good.
The pick up staff was also friendly, all together it was a great experience. If the extra morning tour would be cheaper we would have taken that as well.

She was very helpful and answered all my questions.
4/5

MoAfrika was affordable considering everything they offer. It was wonderful to not have to book a single thing and leave it in their hands.

I enjoyed all the tours on the budget Kruger tour and my sister and I had a lot of fun.

I would book with them again:-)

Very knowledgeable
4/5

The guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable with regard to the animals and particularly animal behaviour. He could identify all the trees. He was fairly knowledgeable about the birds.

My main criticism is that the tour guide needs a loudspeaker as he was difficult to hear from the back of the safari vehicle. When communicating with another vehicle, usually about a siting, he should speak English as these discussions could be quite interesting.

The tour was to the Kruger National Park.

A Memorable Experience with Excellent Service
5/5

My Safari trip in Pilanesberg National Park I must say it was an amazing experience. The organization was very efficient, the transfer was smooth and the drivers were very kind.

I must give a special shoutout to our guide Benny (KGabo), he was a very kind person and extremely knowledgeable about the animals and their habitat. He showed us where to look for animals and provided us with interesting information about them.

If you are hesitant about going on a Safari, I urge you to go for it! You won't regret it. Just make sure to bring some warm clothes as it can get quite chilly while driving around. Although, when the car stops, it can get quite hot.
