Excellent customisable family friendly staff and company
We are a Malaysian Muslim family travelled to Tanzania in Dec 2018 (me, wife and 3 kids, 14yrs, 11yrs and 7yrs old). Once in a lifetime experience should be managed by a reliable and trustworthy company. The priority should be to match what the tourist wants and with good advice from local guides. We are very happy from the very first email lion king replied to us. The email negotiation about plans and price was very reassuring as it clearly shows that they are very meticulous in providing us the best suggestions and quotes. Our whole journey was highly customisable according to our needs and it extended beyond the safari trip. We ended up letting lion king adventures managed our entire Tanzania trip! We only managed our own flight tickets... We are very fortunate that our safari trip was smooth and, weather was good. But more importantly lion king adventures was very reliable and the description and timing of their plan was very good. The accomodation
choice was excellent to maximise our experience in Tanzania and our first time experiencing safari trip. Our guide/driver Gilbert was excellent. I was very happy with him looking after my family. It was a very exciting trip for us. And we would recommend a trip to Tanzania... and i would definitely recommend Lion King Adventures to help you get the best of tanzania...

We couldn't have hoped for more from our safari adventure!
We went on a 4 night, 5 day safari trip across Lake Manyara, the Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater with Lion King adventures.
When spending roughly 10/14 hours a day with people on a tour it can be an intense experience, the success of which is dictated by the attitude of those that you're in the company of.
Luckily for us, we were blessed to have Salehe as our guide and Yussuf as our chef.
They were both a complete joy to be around, even in the sometimes long and hot days. We had such a great time with these guys. Our days were filled with good food, insane safari experiences and jokes and good humour aplenty!
Salehe was knowledgeable on a vast range of the animals and birds we encountered. How he was able to spot the location of some of the animals, often camouflaged and way off in the distance as we drove, is still beyond me. It was by no luck that we saw all of the big 5 and then some on our travels.
Yussuf's cooking was tasty and plentiful, especially his soups, and seasoned with his wit and humour was a delight to have at the start and end of each day.
Aside from our final night when a herd of buffalo grazed cm's from our heads, surrounding our tent (it proved too much for us - so we relocated to a "safer" sleeping spot) we couldn't have hoped for more from our adventure.
We strongly recommend and if you're lucky enough to get Salehe & Yussuf - you're onto a complete winner!

We had a very nice time!
We had a very nice experience with Lion King adventures. Communication before the trip was super. The airport transfers and accommodation in Arusha was great. The Safari itself was also an experience of a lifetime!

As my teen sons both said, "the best week and the best experience of their lives"
I had no idea what to expect, but the Lion King team delivered more than I could have imagined. We had a spreadsheet of 15 options and choice to contact a few that were headquartered in Tanzania and rated by the national tour board. We then compared prices and mid-range options, and went with LKA because they had the best communication and most flexibility. We were a bit nervous sending $ overseas to some unknown group, but when David appeared at the airport to collect us, we were relieved, and then embarked on the trip of a lifetime. The accommodations in Arusha and Karatu were better than we could have imagined. Eileen's Trees Inn in Karatu may be my favorite inn on any trip ever. The hosts were welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Our tour guide, James, contacted ETI in advance to arrange a cake for our 12 yo son's birthday! James - what can I say. He was patient, professional, informative. He knew where to go, how to time our travels, and patiently adjusted our travels to suit our requests. He knew a ton about the animals, the botany, and the Maasai culture. We peppered him with questions and he always had an answer. Plus, he was a fantastic driver, navigating crazy rocky dirt roads and fording streams. Thank you Anna for providing us a perfect itinerary, thank you David for transporting us to and from the airport, and THANK YOU James for fulfilling our trip of a lifetime!

Amazing Safari with amazing people
We booked a 5 day Safari with LionKingAdventures and we loved it!!!
But lets start from the beginning...
After we decided to do a Safari we really had some difficulties to find the right tour operator. With LionKingAdventures we had a good feeling from the beginning. The communication was easy and prompt and Anna gave us a good feeling for transferring so much money to foreign people in a far away country.
A few weeks later we arrived at the Kilimanjaro Airport and our personal driver came to pick us up. The first night we stayed at Outpost lodge, which is really nice and cozy. Then in the morning of our second day we started our Safari. Our driver Swahele came to pick us up. Our luggage was safely stored in the car and the journey began. The first day we did a game drive through Tarangire national park, where we already saw a lot of animals. In the evening we stayed outside the park in a tent village. Our personal cook was already waiting for us with a prepared meal. In general the food was really great. But unfortunate for us a bit too europeanized. If you talk to Anna in advance you can organize with her that you get more local food (or veggie etc.).
The next days on our trip were just as amazing as the first one with our personal highlight of being two days in Serengeti. On all days we were taken care of just perfectly. We have seen the big 5 and plenty of other animals. All we can say is go and check it out yourself, it is definitively worth it!! And with LionKingAdventures you have the best choice of a tour operator as you can have.

Perfect safari with amazing people
Truly a great company with fantastic people. We did a 5 day / 4 nights camping safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Our guide, Saleh, was nice, caring and knowledgeable about all the animals and their behaviour. He understood our expectations very quickly and made sure we had the kind of experience we wanted. Our chef, Yusuph, was amazing and so creative! He cooked a variety of delicious meals (the best food we had in the entire country!!!). He is also such a funny and kind person. Finally, it was reasuring to get detailed information and quick replies from Anna while we were planning the safari (which we booked ourselves without a travel agency). We warmly recommend this company!
