Excellent
We did a safari in Tanzania with Gosheni and it was an incredible experience. Our assigned driver was Bariki, and honestly we couldn’t have asked for a better guide.
From the very beginning he was excellent. You can really tell he knows a lot about the parks, the animals, and the whole environment. He was always attentive, made sure we could see as many animals as possible, and explained everything to us with so much patience.
Besides being very professional, he is also extremely kind, respectful, calm, and very friendly. He drives very well, knows the area perfectly, and you can tell he truly loves what he does. Thanks to him, the safari was even more special.
We highly recommend Gosheni and, if you can, ask for Bariki because he truly makes the whole experience even better.

Hassani is a very responsible and knowledgeable guide. You can learn a lot of knowledge with him, and his life is very meticulous. Every time he can take us to find the animals we want to see. He knows a lot about animals and plants and can explain them professionally. His driving skills are also very good. He is very stable. Gosheni Safari: Seamless planning and expert guiding for an unforgettable adventure
I am very glad that I chose Gosheni. The communication with Norah in the early stages was very smooth, and she notified us of our driver-guide's contact information one day in advance. On March 1st, we officially met our driver-guide, Hassani. Over the next seven days, we traveled from Tarangire to Ndutu, then to the central Serengeti, and finally to the Ngorongoro Crater. Hassani's driving skills are top-notch, and he is a true specialist in bird photography. He also helped us search for the Big Five and the Ugly Five, making our trip absolutely perfect!

Unforgettable safari with George
Wow!!!!! This was the first safari we’ve ever done and I’m not sure how it could get better than this! This was truly all thanks to our amazing guide, George. George went above and beyond to make this trip smooth, comfortable, and absolutely unforgettable. He was so professional, but also so warm, friendly, and fun. He was always on time, and had nice touches like cleaning the car every day (you don’t think it’s necessary, but it makes everything so much more comfortable!) He is extremely knowledgeable about the animals and their habitats, and shared so much about life in Tanzania as well. We came at the start of rainy season (sadly, it came very early this year) so the roads were very tricky to navigate. We saw so many other cars get stuck, but with George’s experience and discernment we always felt safe and that never happened to us. He knows all the best spots and angles for taking photos of animals—he loves photography himself so he tries to position us in a way where we get the best angles and lighting for the animals. He even shared his photos and videos that he took with his special lens with us since my iPhone was not cutting it.
All the lodges that Gosheni organized for us to stay at were also stunning and so comfortable. Such a treat after long days of driving.
If you want to support a 100% local company, i highly recommend Gosheni. I am sure all the Gosheni guides are amazing, but if you get George as your guide you will be extremely lucky! George, you are the best, thank you!

Absolutely incredible! We can’t wait to come back!
We just finished a 10-day Tanzania safari with Gosheni, and our guide George made it absolutely unforgettable. If you’re booking a safari, request him — you won’t regret it.
We traveled through Serengeti, Ndutu, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire and saw an incredible amount of wildlife, including the Big Five. George somehow always knew where to go and could spot animals we would have driven right past. His knowledge of the animals and ecosystems made every sighting even more special.
He’s also an excellent driver — the off-roading in Ndutu can be intense, but we always felt safe and comfortable. He was patient, never rushed us, and made the whole trip feel relaxed and personal. He even took amazing photos and videos throughout the trip and shared them with us afterward, which was such a great touch.
We also loved the cultural experience he arranged, and every lodge we stayed at was fantastic.
George is friendly, professional, and truly passionate about what he does. We’re already talking about coming back and would choose him again without hesitation. Highly recommend Gosheni and George to anyone planning a Tanzania safari.

An Exceptional Safari with Gosheni – Perfectly Organized and Led by a Truly Outstanding Guide
Our 6-night safari with Gosheni Safaris was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, the entire experience was professional, smooth, and thoughtfully designed.
Flawless Planning and Communication
Our consultant, Herman, understood exactly what we were looking for — a well-paced, comfortable safari with beautiful camps and strong wildlife opportunities, but without feeling rushed or exhausted. He translated our preferences into a perfectly structured itinerary.
All six lodges and camps were stunning, comfortable, and very well chosen. The routing was logical, the transitions were seamless, and at no point did we feel fatigued by long drives or unnecessary backtracking. Everything felt balanced and intentional. The logistics throughout the journey were handled effortlessly.
The Hidden Gem: Our Guide, Huruma
What elevated this safari from excellent to unforgettable was our guide, Huruma.
With over 20 years of experience — and previously a ranger in the Serengeti — his depth of knowledge was extraordinary. Interestingly, he only shared his ranger background with us on the last day. That humility speaks volumes about his character.
Huruma is calm, respectful of nature, and deeply intuitive in the field. He doesn’t just drive around looking for animals — he reads the landscape. By observing tracks, bird movements, alarm calls, and subtle environmental signs, he anticipates where wildlife might appear. His instincts are remarkable.
He truly has eagle eyes — spotting animals in the distance without binoculars when most of us would see nothing. Thanks to him, we saw everything we had hoped to see, including several breathtaking predator hunting moments. Even more impressive, he always positioned the vehicle at the perfect angle for viewing and photography, without disturbing natural behavior.
Extraordinary Knowledge and Professionalism
His knowledge goes far beyond the Big Five. He recognizes nearly every bird species we encountered — which makes sense, as he even keeps a dedicated bird reference book in the vehicle. His passion for wildlife is genuine and inspiring.
We also traveled during rainy conditions, when roads became extremely muddy. We saw other vehicles getting stuck, but not once did we. Huruma’s driving judgment and control in difficult terrain were impressive and reassuring.
Every morning, despite mud and long drives, the vehicle was clean and ready. Hot lunches were prepared daily, and we felt consistently well cared for.
He is clearly respected among other guides and was always supportive and professional on the radio. His humility, experience, and kindness made a lasting impression on us.
Final Thoughts
We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Huruma as our guide. He is truly a hidden gem within Gosheni — and if you have the opportunity to request him, do so without hesitation.

An unforgettable Safari Trip with Gosheni
Our group of four spent 6 days with Gosheni Safaris, including 4 days inside the national parks. The trip was so memorable that we left wanting more.
On the first day, as soon as we exited the airport, we saw a staff member holding a sign with our name, ready to greet us. Their office is conveniently located right next to the exit of Kilimanjaro Airport. The guiding began sharing interesting facts about the region as soon as we got into the vehicle.
Throughout the entire journey, we felt completely safe and happy. The foods are all delicious. The vehicle was thoughtfully equipped with seat cushions, so our backs and legs never hurt— even on a day when we almost drove for 14 hours. Every morning, the vehicle was spotless inside and out, despite our shoes tracking in plenty of mud.
We are especially grateful to our guide, Bariki. He has a deep respect and awe for nature. We don’t like some vehicles get too close to the animals, as it feels disruptive to their natural lives. Bariki always kept a respectful distance while positioning us at the best possible angle for viewing. When we mentioned wanting to see a sunrise and sunset, he made a point of finding scenic spots with great composition — he clearly has a good eye for photography too!
We never had to worry about restroom breaks, Bariki arranged everything smoothly. He is intelligent, brave, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. His driving skills are excellent, and he taught us so much along the way. We joked that he should be the one training AI on animals and Tanzania!
This Safari was an incredible experience with friends. Next time if I come with my family, I’ll definitely choose Gosheni Safaris again.
